First John at the Al Smith roast and now Sarah Palin on SNL. My favorite part was watching Sarah bob her head and raise the roof with her hands during the Amy Poehler rap. The guy doing Todd Palin was funny too and the moose, hahaha, the moose. I can’t stop laughing. The second segment was way funnier.
SNL takes quickly down the youtube clips of the show. For some reason, the HuffPo has both segments. I hate linking to the HuffPo, but here. Instant classic. SNL history.

It was OK

Doc Holliday Sunday, October 19th at 1:32AM EDT (link)I actually liked him in The Hunt for Red October and Glen Garry Glen Ross. I have heard him on his failed radio show, he really is a dunce, but at times he can act.

ILLINOIS_CONSERV Sunday, October 19th at 7:56PM EDT (link)I read that he is so anti-gun that he hated having the studio promotion show him with a weapon. I liked that movie too. Like Clancy novels in general.

You’re right! I offer my sincere apologies to Jethro and all the other “Jethros” (Jethroes, Jethri?) out there for any unintended pox on your good name and character.

Buddy Ebsen was a good guy, by all accounts.

I loved the novel — was mildly happy with the movie…

Sarah was great, but they could have done more
jazzycmk Sunday, October 19th at 9:27PM EDT (link)Sarah showed another winning side with her turn as the ultimate good sport on SNL. The “Palin rap” sequence was hysterical. And Palin seemed like a natural at the news desk (of course, she was once a sportscaster).
I thought the short sequence when Fey and Palin crossed paths was somewhat wasted. Would have been better to have actually stopped and have them give each other a long, hard look.
I also thought it would have been funny if they had done a skit bringing in Palin to “coach” Fey at being Palin. Perhaps have Palin pretend to be an MSM reporter asking “gotcha” questions. Would have given Palin a much-deserved chance to mock the media that has had so much fun at her expense.
Sarah rocks.

ILLINOIS_CONSERV Sunday, October 19th at 9:59PM EDT (link)I remember him slamming the lady who play Miss Hathaway (Nancy Kulp)on the show. She was running for Congress in PA as a Dem. He made a commercial for the repub candidate saying Kulp was too liberal and cashing in on her celebrity. She lost.
