Scott Brown’s Momentum

There is a reason Martha Coakley went negative. Coakley can win if she rallys her base. There are enough Democrats in Massachusetts for Coakley to win without Republican or Independent support. Still its a bad sign for any candidate, when they are trying to rally their base during the last week of the campaign.

By contrast, Brown’s base is fired up. He also has Independents in his corner. Brown is spending his last week in enemy territory. The Boston Globe profiles Brown’s foray into Democratic homes, while Brown’s latest ad shows him campaigning in Southie, a famous Democratic stronghold:

While Brown fights Coakley on her own turf, his own base cannot let up. His confidence assumes that we will continue to do our part. He doesn’t need to rally us. We know the stakes.

I got family in southie, and southie is union democrat, but I can’t see union democrats getting excited for Coakleey (I love throwing extra e’s in too). Brown looks liek someone they can go have a beer with, who cares about the sawx and the bruins, coakeley acts liek the cambridge crowd….has no relation to how Kennedy used to campaign….

It strikes just the right tone to reach those in the Boston media market.

Also, to Swamp Yankee, Glad to see that the comments it back open on this. Nice Job.

to be a glitch about comments. If Brown wins, or even if it is close (I won’t say the dreaded word), I appreciate all you have done to take us through the process of this election; you have worked tirelessly to make a difference, and I am sure those efforts have made a difference in getting the word out, building financial support and most of all, momentum for Scott Brown. People like you are heroes at RedState. :)

We are the people and it is “the peoples’ seat!” Should make that our new Republican rallying cry for all upcoming elections.
