Illinois House Races
Illinois looks like an exciting state in 2010, with both competitive Senate and Governor races. The grassroots may have been disappointed in the primary, but there really is no reason for that. There was no serious challenge to Kirk, and while the Tea Party candidate didn’t win the Governor spot, the winner is a solid conservative. In truth, this may bode well for downstream races. | Read More »

A quick update from Illinois.
Illionis’ primary is long gone, so it is safe to start looking at the general election. I live in IL’s 14th (formerly known as Speaker Hastert’s), and I thought I’d put out an update for anyone interested, and to force myself to update my research. Nothing makes me read up on the state of things like writing does. I will spend the most time in | Read More »

Adam Kinzinger (R CAND, IL-11) up in two polls.
This Hill article is not quite accurate: If this is any indication of where the healthcare debate has left Democrats, they could be in trouble. Rep. Debbie Halvorson (D-Ill.) trails her reelection race by six points in the first public House poll conducted after the healthcare debate. The Public Opinion Strategies (R) poll for Iraq veteran Adam Kinzinger (R), which is set to be released | Read More »

Marco Rubio moneybomb today.
[UPDATE: By the way, the below link is to Demint’s Senate Conservatives Fund’s portion of the Rubio moneybomb. Said portion’s sub-goal is 100K, and they’re at 86.2K already.] He’s trying to raise 787 thousand (in ‘commemoration’ of the 787 billion dollar ‘stimulus’ that the Democrats have wished upon the country): he’s well on his way, but it would be excellent if the Rubio campaign had | Read More »
Four days left on Adam Kinzinger (IL-11) drive.
(Reminded by AoSHQ) I could come up with a convoluted reason to repost this widget for the Adam Kinzinger campaign, but I shan’t: It’s just that it’d be great if the campaign had to reset the total amount that they were going for with days to spare. This district should be ours, and incumbent Debbie Halvorson doesn’t put her constituents first; so if you’re mildly | Read More »
The Illinois elections are turning nicely symmetrical.
Their side has a candidate who knives women. Our side has a candidate who takes down people who knife women. Adam Kinzinger for IL-11. And Jason Plummer for Lt. Governor. Because neither of them cut women. Moe Lane Crossposted to Moe Lane.
Adam Kinzinger (IL-11) for Congress.
Now that the Illinois primary is over, we can show you the official GOP candidate for IL-11. Meet Adam Kinzinger: (Donate to Adam Kinzinger here: he’s trying to raise 10K by 02/10/10.) Adam’s a fiscal conservative, military veteran (Air NG, served overseas), and pro-life; his hobbies include toppling incumbents in elections, advocating smaller government, and subduing would-be knife-wielding maniacs with his bare hands. His opponent, | Read More »
Meet Adam Kinzinger (R Cand, IL-11).
Brian’s excellent post about Debbie Halvorson and her fake independence lacked only one thing: this. Not his fault – it took a little bit of finding – but it’s an excuse to put this front and center. Adam’s main site is, of course, here. It’d be great if he hit his fundraising number by the deadline, wouldn’t it? Moe Lane Crossposted to Moe Lane.
Debbie Halvorson’s Embarrassing Cave
Check out this video of Representative Debbie Halvorson (D-IL) bragging that Barack Obama could not pressure her into voting for cap-and-trade legislation: This video is very helpful for several reasons.
Adam Kinzinger For Illinois 11th — Hero, Patriot
First Lt. Adam Kinzinger, 30, officer in the Air National Guard, was enjoying a night on the town in Milwaukee in May of 2007 when he saw before him a woman clutching her neck and bleeding profusely, a man with a knife standing behind her. Acting quickly, Lt. Kinzinger subdued the man and stopped any further harm from coming to the unknown woman. Others also | Read More »
