Change(s) We Can’t Keep Up With
“I believe in common-sense gun safety laws, and I believe in the second amendment,” Obama said at a news conference. “Lawful gun owners have nothing to fear. I said that throughout the campaign. I haven’t indicated anything different during the transition. I think people can take me at my word.” Let’s break this down. “I believe in common-sense gun safety laws…” Yeah… Just like | Read More »

Looking ahead to the 2012 presidential election, one begins to wonder what the electoral map will look like in four years. And The Netroots Will Explode In 5, 4, 3, 2 . . .
1.Of course, I have to believe that if Barack Obama did not actually believe that the surge overseen by Secretary Gates really has been successful, he would not have consented to keep the Secretary on. By agreeing to retain Secretary Gates at the Pentagon, the President-elect has not-too-subtly endorsed the very surge and counterinsurgency efforts he spent time denouncing on the campaign trail. One wishes that | Read More »

“The Obamas Walk Away From Public Schools.” C’est la phrase juste. And the following is right on the money as well:. . . it’s wonderful that the Obamas had such a broad range of public and private school choices available to them. What’s puzzling is that the president-elect opposes programs that would bring that same easy choice of schools within reach of families who lack | Read More »

With the heavy North and Mid-Western flood of blue, I’m dis-spirited and deflated. I’m not surprised, but disheartened at the results. The most liberal senator ran a campaign based on the conservative tradition of a tax cut as he ran to the middle and brainwashed the masses. I’m just astounded that his wife had a better resume for running the country than he did, and | Read More »

To Barack Hussein Obama, The New York Times carried a story on Saturday, October 4, 2008, that proved you had a significantly closer relationship with Bill Ayers than what you previously admitted. Up until this morning, I wasn’t even going to bother to vote. Why? Because I’ve learned that you can’t trust the majority of politicians — I live in Rhode Island. RI Government is crooked. Needless to say, this brought all sorts of scorn from the other side of the partisan divide.Wonder what the scornful will make of this:The Obama campaign has decided to heave out three | Read More »

This morning, at the University of Kentucky not far away from the library and the VA hospital, students and faculty found an effigy of Barack Obama hanging from a tree. And I mean literally, rope-noose kind of ‘hanging’. No videos of the news-stories yet, but I expect I’ll find some by tomorrow.More below the fold.
