AP writer Glen Johnson smears Sarah Palin

This one is so blatant that it has to be deliberate. Here’s how the article starts:Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin told ministry students at her former church that the United States sent troops to fight in the Iraq war on a “task that is from God.”This is false. You know, it says something when Huffington Post gets it right but AP and its reporter, Glen Johnson, | Read More »

If Sarah Palin was a Democrat …

This was supposed to be posted prior to the speech yesterday, but my computer decided to crash and die on me just as I was about clicking ‘save’ …{snarl}Well … the past few days have been quite a revelation, haven’t they? John McCain (who seems to have wisened up considerably) introduced the nation to his pick for the Vice-Presidency and the media quickly set about | Read More »

On Gov. Palin: The Media is Obsessed with Social Issues

The MSM could respond to the choice of Gov. Palin in several ways. It could focus on her history of fighting her own party on issues of corruption and her history of fighting large oil companies in a state where large oil companies own a sizable part of the economy. Or they could focus on her cultural background as a pro-lifer who is comfortable with | Read More »

    Fighting Back

I myself and going to go have a conversation with the Manager of my local grocery store with whom I am friendly with and have shopped there for the last 5 years and explain my displeasure and request they remove US weekly from their shelves.I know some of you will say that I am calling for removal of the people’s right to KNOW and the | Read More »

I usually enjoy the history, but now I am just angry

I am usually one of the conservatives who hates to point to a media bias as the reason we face uphill battles around election season. My response has always been, “We simply need to speak louder and convince more people.”However, the modern Internet and mainstream media lynching I have witnessed recently has disgusted me to the core. I am no fan of Hillary Clinton. There | Read More »

Media vs. McCain: Love Affair Ends as Media Finds Replacement Obama

Media vs. McCain: Love Affair Ends as Media Finds Replacement, ObamaWhenever you tell liberals that there is a media bias, they usually deny it and then turn to old faithful, “what about Fox News?” Well, if that’s the only example you can come up with, then that sort of proves the point. Then there is part 2, “what about talk radio?” Of course, talk radio | Read More »

    Study: Media Promote Economic Gloom

A study released today by the slightly left-of-center Project for Excellence in Journalism confirmed what many have suspected for a while: the media’s negative coverage of the economy affects public opinion.According to PEJ, the public’s concern about the economy as an issue has always outstripped that of the media. That’s pretty normal considering that America’s economy is one of the few large news stories that | Read More »

Expert: Media coverage has been “probably not fair” to McCain

The director of the non-partisan Project for Excellence in Journalism, Tom Rosenstiel, told AP today that Sure, there are some weeks Obama’s going to make more news, said Tom Rosenstiel, the project’s director. But every week? “No matter how understandable it is given the newness of the candidate and the historical nature of Obama’s candidacy, in the end it’s probably not fair to McCain,” AP | Read More »

    I’m Sorry, But Isn’t It Crazy…..

…the real bias of the MSM has been exposed of late?…there is this road show like frenzy of the latest U2 tour, all the anchors in tow…as BHO heads off on his quest to rule the world….meanwhile, when ex-anchor, and right hating Dan Rather sat in on MSNBC’s liberal love fest called “morning cup of joe”, he clearly caled BHO – “Osama Bin Laden”, and | Read More »

AP’s New Muckraking Style, From Just-The-Facts to In-Your-Face

For those unfamiliar, since May of this year the Associated Press has had a new Washington Bureau Chief, a past AP reporter named Ron Fournier. According to Politico, the previous chief was pushed out to make room for Fournier in a “hard-feelings shake-up” with the old chief left worried that Fournier might “destroy” the AP. A pretty stark assessment, of course, but not necessarily all | Read More »

Why does media discriminate against this senator?

It’s a touchy point with me, the matter of Sen. John McCain’s age. Media just can’t talk about it enough—the latest is an Associated Press story that (again) explores how voters feel about the matter. Seems like only yesterday the Democratic Party as well as media maintained an obsession with equal rights for all including those who don’t belong to Gen X. The AP story | Read More »
