EPA goes from Environmental Protection Agency to Extremist Political Agenda
This rule is not about pollution. It is about shutting down coal-fueled power plants and killing jobs and raising electricity rates—both of which punish people who can least afford it. But plenty of others have addressed the economic impact so I won’t take more of my time on that topic.

Marita Noon: Australia shoots down climate lobby’s scare mongering
Australia’s carbon tax proponents treated people with contempt and vilified anyone who dared question their vision. Now, they have been shamed as the people have been heard and the carbon tax has been repealed in a move that worries greens around the globe.

The Politicization of Science in the Media
Via RealClearScience today comes a stark reminder that there is literally no such thing about which the media is a truly objective reporter these days. It reminds me yet again of this quote from the late great Michael Crichton about the Gell-Mann Amnesia Effect: Briefly stated, the Gell-Mann Amnesia effect is as follows. You open the newspaper to an article on some subject you know well. | Read More »
EPA’s climate-change plan based on convicted felon’s “playbook”
It just keeps getting deeper. The steaming pile of bovine excrement on which the Obama administration bases its policies on global warming climate change is a lie engineered by liars, and now felons are added to the club.
A Senate staff report from the Committee on Environment and Public Works reveals the EPA’s most famous felon, John Beale, as the architect of policies leading directly to Obama’s ability to effectively close coal-burning power plants. Beale, you may remember, is the EPA employee who claimed to be a CIA spy, and earned his $200,000 salary by doing, literally, nothing, for years.

Barack, the Insult Comic President
No President is perfect. I accept it as a fact of human nature that every President will make mistakes. And I further accept that all Presidents will pursue policies that a substantial part of the country disagrees with, and I operate under the assumption that when Democrat Presidents are in office, more often than not I’m going to disagree with their policy (and probably personnel) | Read More »
EPA loses the right to SWAT you in your bedroom for greenhouse gases
The bloated, festering mass of putrescent flesh calling itself the EPA suffered a stinging rebuke from the Supreme Court on Monday. You see, the EPA made a power grab, trying to ooze its slimy tendrils into every home, school, apartment building, and bedroom in the country, to enforce its religious devotion to climate change and regulate greenhouse gases, everywhere.

Harsh Warning are Great, But….
On Monday, the United States Supreme Court largely ruled that the EPA could regulate greenhouse gases from stationary sources such as power plants. In legal circles, there is much commentary that this is a mixed decision and that the EPA may have won this battle, but they should expect more battles in the future and that they may eventually lose the war. A simple look | Read More »
Nostalgia for Bill Clinton: if dog, rabbit
Bill Clinton stays pretty busy these days, raking in a half-million or more for an hour spent speaking to rapt audiences. He’s got to charge that much because the Clintons are always on the verge of being broke. Yesterday, I got to hear him speak, along with about 3,500 others who paid $50* for a small chicken breast on lettuce, coffee and cheesecake, followed by Slick Willie’s tossed-fact-salad.
Bill looked good, for a 67-going-on-68 year old. He’s lost some weight, apparently by giving it to Al Gore. “The best part of being an ex-president is I can say anything I want. Well, except when my wife might be running for that job.” I’m paraphrasing. Clinton then went on to tell us how it’s a good thing to “airbrush history” about his time in office, and proceeded to airbrush current events and facts.

Obama Aspires to Botswana…or 1870 or Something Like That
Depending on the source, the recently announced newest volley in the war on coal in the name of global warming, or climate change, is either the greatest thing to ever happen or it is an economic apocalypse in the making. Given the Obama track record, it is most likely the latter. Apparently trying to leave a legacy for his presidency that does not include Obamacare, | Read More »
EPA rules to increase energy costs by 40%
The EPA is going to increase your electric bill by 40% by 2020. The new planned regulations will cut CO2 emissions from power plants by 30% in the next 15 years.
Get ready to pay for a big, steaming chunk of nothing.

For a Good Laugh
The White House has established a page on their official website dedicated to climate change. Naturally, it ignores evidence to the contrary because, after all, there is this alleged scientific consensus that the world is warming, that man is causing it by the creation of increased carbon dioxide emissions, that the Obama administration is the only ones doing anything about it, and that if we | Read More »
Even as the White House rolls out its new two-fisted climate-change agenda and dares anyone to stop them from cranking up the cost of energy, we learn California is pitching in by finding new ways to humiliate and control its citizens, courtesy of CBS News in Los Angeles: The California Legislature is looking at a voluntary program that would tax motorists for every mile they | Read More »
The Left Goes Brazen
There are three recent events among the Left which have caught this writer’s eye and ear. The first is the apparent open embrace of Marxism. Much of this centers around the so-called “one of the top books of this century:” Thomas Picketty’s “Wealth in the Twenty-First Century.” By any other name, this 700 page tome of convoluted and twisted statistics and commentary is nothing but | Read More »
Wealth cannot be destroyed with surgical precision
The worse things look for global-warming hysterics, the more shrill and offensive they become. We’ve got Al Gore comparing himself to Martin Luther King Jr. (immediately after saying he would never make such a comparison, of course) and MSNBC host Chris Hayes explicitly comparing “climate deniers” to Civil War-era slave masters (immediately after saying he would never make such a comparison, of course.) The only | Read More »
Global warming is a laughable farce… and John Kerry is a degenerate liar
In 2005, the United Nations Eco-alarmist Division predicted that by 2010 global warming would “displace 50 million coastal inhabitants around the world.” Rising sea levels, diminishing water-tables, and – New Word Alert! – “desertification” would make homeless the equivalent of eight New York Cities…. Folks, it was going to be BAD…. Millions dead. MASS starvation. There was even a rumor that Al Gore would have | Read More »
