    Birfers, Truffers and Boston Boneheads

    By: Repair_Man_Jack (Diary)  |  April 18th at 12:00 PM  |

There are people on the Internet who become utterly convinced of their own awesome powers of observation. They read “Red Pill Blogs” and see the real world for how it really is. To these folks, it’s all a big conspiracy* and if they nose through the right Government Documents, they’ll discover the real X-Files. The Kenyan Birth Certificate, Tom Fife’s evening in Moscow, the Metallurgical | Read More »

Guy Who Called Romney a Douche on TV Thinks Obama is a Racist

By: Erick Erickson (Diary)  |  March 6th at 08:16 PM  |

Roger Ailes says Barack Obama is lazy. The media has blown it into a big story with the facts not on the media’s side. Van Jones, who on live national television called Mitt Romney a douche, was outrageously outraged by Roger Ailes’s assertion on CNN and even hinted that it might be racist for Ailes to say so. The media is yet again willfully choosing | Read More »

    Moving On

    Moving On

I was not going to say anything, but rather just fade away. I suppose though with rumors and reports I should say something. My voicemail and inbox are, as I type, filling up. I have turned my phone off as the only way to get it to stop ringing. Yes, I can confirm I am leaving CNN. It was a very, very difficult decision. I | Read More »

I Think CNN.com Badly Mischaracterizes This Site

By: Erick Erickson (Diary)  |  November 23rd at 10:27 AM  |

I tried to ignore this piece at CNN.com by Tom Cohen, but given how it continues to crop up in my inbox from people on both the left and right, I think it is worth responding to. I reached out to my friends and colleagues over at CNN.com to tell them I thought both I and RedState were being badly mischaracterized. While making an edit | Read More »

Election in twelve days! The economy is awful! (And CNN is ripping Obama!)

By: Moe Lane (Diary)  |  October 26th at 08:00 AM  |

Let’s see what shiny object the Obama administration comes up with TODAY to try to distract people from both of those inconvenient truths.  I’m betting Full Metal Mormonism: nothing like a little casual religious bigotry to keep up the Online Left’s spirits as the hammer continues to descend. Moe Lane (crosspost) PS: Via email, prepared to be shocked by CNN’s Erin Burnett: Executive summary: “The | Read More »

    Fact Checking CNN’s Fact Checkers

By: Steve Maley (Diary)  |  October 7th at 11:13 AM  |

What is the value of fact checking if the fact-checkers don’t have a clue about the facts they’re checking? CNN’s fact checkers accuse Mitt Romney of playing fast and loose with the data. In reality, he displayed a masterful executive-level command of the issues. It’s President Obama they should worry about.

    99% Malarky

    By: Repair_Man_Jack (Diary)  |  March 5th at 01:00 PM  |

Hate is so much easier than truth, reason or imagination. It motivates people, gets them doing irrational things with no particular concern for the consequences that lie in waiting. To give you an idea of just how motivated people get via hatred, here is a recent story from Kansas City, MO. A 13-year-old boy who police say was doused with gasoline and lit on fire | Read More »

    The Last Debate?

By: Erick Erickson (Diary)  |  February 20th at 04:46 AM  |

Today is a holiday here at RedState, but I’m doing laundry, packing, and preparing to fly out to Arizona. On Wednesday night, CNN will bring the nation what may very well be the last debate in the Republican Presidential Primary season. From Mesa, AZ, Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum, Newt Gingrich, and Ron Paul will take the stage one last time. At least we can presume | Read More »

Administration on wrong side of CNN freedom of conscience poll.

By: Moe Lane (Diary)  |  February 17th at 06:30 PM  |

Here is something that needs to be pointed out (as Hot Air did): this poll on the public reaction to the Obama’s administration’s attack on freedom of conscience is skewed toward the liberal position in at least two ways.  First, it polls adults, which traditionally skews things a couple points towards the Democrats; second, it took place after the administration/mainstream media blitz touting Obama’s compromise.  | Read More »

    The Jacksonville Brawl

By: Erick Erickson (Diary)  |  January 27th at 04:47 AM  |

I’m biased, but I think the real winner last night was CNN and I feel confident I’d say that even if they didn’t send me a paycheck. After that disastrous and embarrassing NBC debate, Wolf Blitzer held his own, did not get devoured by Newt Gingrich, and engaged in a lot of substance without a lot of random questions like . . . oh . | Read More »

    Huge Romney bounce in Florida

By: Neil Stevens (Diary)  |  January 26th at 11:00 AM  |

We were spoiled by the New Hampshire and South Carolina polling. Those states weren’t stagnant in voter opinion, but they at least moved at reasonable speeds, and allowed for a clear understanding of what was going on. Florida is different. After swinging 20 points to Newt Gingrich, has now gone 10-15 points right back to Mitt Romney.

Roland Martin and I are going to be covering the South Carolina primary from rainy Columbia, SC tonight. We’ll be at Liberty Tap Room located at 828 Gervais Street, Columbia, SC 29201 if you want to stop by. Consider this an open thread.

One pollster gives Gingrich South Carolina surge, others disagree

By: Neil Stevens (Diary)  |  January 19th at 07:00 AM  |

InsiderAdvantage polled South Carolina just a few days ago on the 15th, and Mitt Romney had a 32-21 lead on Newt Gingrich. NewsMax had them poll again on the 18th, and the results were different. Gingrich takes his first SC poll lead in a month.

    The Early Entrance Polls

By: Erick Erickson (Diary)  |  January 3rd at 08:18 PM  |

The early entrance polls are trickling out. CNN says Paul, Romney, and Santorum are in the top tier. The Washington Post’s Fix tweets that the 2012 evangelical crowd is about the same as 2008. Anecdotally from several caucuses, and anecdotally only, I’m hearing the Occupiers showed up for Ron Paul. We’ll see. The next round of entrance polls comes soon.
