The Current Electoral College State of Play

Two weeks before Election Day, all signs point to this being a very tight election.  Romney clearly seized the momentum with his debate win two weeks ago – one which Obama failed to stop with his stronger performance last week.  Most national polls show Romney with a 2-3 point lead; however, the state polls show an even tighter race. One thing has not changed in | Read More »

    RedState Roundtable: The First Debate

By: Jake (Diary)  |  October 8th at 11:00 AM  |

Longtime RedStaters might remember the old Roundtables we used to do (although in fairness, that was long before my time on the Front Page). For a while now, we’ve been trying to restart them. This election gives us a perfect opportunity, so we decided to do a Roundtable on the first debate and where we go from here. This covers our discussions before, during, and | Read More »

Mailers from the Martinez Campaign claim the candidate “worked to decrease uninsured rates and recruit employers to provide healthcare to workers in six counties.” According to reports available at the Division of Insurance, however, CarePoint covers just 116 residents in the San Luis Valley area — a mere 2.4 percent of coverage that was promised when the government program that funds CarePoint was first expanded.
