Time For A Death Penalty Conversation UPDATED
I suspect a great here at RedState will disagree, but I don’t care. All I want are for folks to listen to my points of argument. Like I said before, my libertarian journey took me a number of months to get (probably 8 or 9 to be exact). Though even after that there were issues of which I didn’t have much of a true opinion | Read More »
State Legislative Elections – 2014 pt 2 UPDATED
State Legislative Elections Here are the most competitive races this year: WV; Currently Democrats control the State House 53-47 and the State Senate 24-10. If one’s gonna switch that’s obviously the House since the margin is smaller. I’d think Democrats will hold control of Senate but only for one more cycle likely. Last election they gave 62% of the vote to Mitt Romney and won every | Read More »
The Left Demands the IRS “Redouble” Targeting Tea Party and Conservative Groups
Now that that the Obama Administration has determined, after a “thorough” investigation conducted by a partisan political donor, that targeting the Tea Party for their political beliefs isn’t criminal, Senator Chuck Schumer is back to his old antics.
Sen. Schumer is calling for the IRS to renew its targeting of the Tea Party and to “redouble those efforts immediately.”

The Bigotry of Abortion Exposes Itself
The pro-abortion governor of New York had the unmitigated gall to say exactly what pro-abortion extremists have been attempting to do all across America.
In an interview last Friday, Governor Cuomo stated that “conservatives who are right-to-life . . . have no place in the state of New York . . . .”
It is this type of anti-pro-life bigotry that we are facing in American today – from the White House on down to city halls and town councils. Pro-abortion zealots are pushing forward a radical agenda to silence the pro-life movement.

ObamaCare’s War on Young Entrepreneurs
By Paul Dietzel, Founder of Anedot, Inc. and Candidate for Congress (LA-6) Obamacare is rolling back the progress of the Internet—and that’s not a cheap jab at healthcare.gov. Entrepreneurship for young Americans in the last decade has flourished thanks primarily to the Internet. As the 27-year-old founder of fundraising software company Anedot, Inc., I have seen the advantages of apps, telecommuting and e-commerce. The Internet | Read More »
Red State Uprising Questions #2: Of Judge Roberts, S.391, The Fight, Republicans, and The Nation
First off, I’d like to thank everyone who participated in the last question post and followed the requested guidelines. A lot of good discussion and ideas were tossed about. Much food for thought was had, at least by me and I appreciate the Arena of Ideas being put to such good use. For this post, I am going to try throwing a few questions and | Read More »
Obama Donor Investigating Obama’s IRS Political Scandal is Scandal Unto Its Own
Imagine the outrage and media frenzy that would ensue if Governor Chris Christie were to appoint one of his major donors to investigate his own political retribution scandal. It would be unfathomable.
Yet, that is exactly what President Obama’s DOJ just did in the IRS targeting scandal.

Reading Erick’s Book: Red State Uprising and I have a question
I received an autographed copy or Erick’s book for Christmas from a friend (thanks for the inscription Erick). I am enjoying it very much and will post thoughts and questions as I read. From page 18, third paragraph about half way down I find this, “A Republican Congress isn’t worth having if it is not going to be a conservative one, filled with men and | Read More »
Imperial President – a “Dictator”
One week ago today, I received a handwritten letter from my primary care physician stating that due to the Obamacare law she could no long administer to many of her patients including myself. She apologized in the letter saying she was desperately hoping she could find a legal way to retain her patients. In all likelihood she and her husband (who is a physician also) | Read More »
Women Beware of HRC
Although Hillary Clinton is out trying to recoup the women’s votes she had in 2008, it might behoove her avid followers to review this woman’s sordid past. One can hide and run for a while but sooner or later the past does catch up with us. It’s not propaganda about the murders, suicides and accidental deaths of her business associates, bundlers and colleagues that plague | Read More »
ObamaCare’s Very, Very, Very Bad Year in Review
The year began with grandiose promises that if you like your health insurance plan you can keep it. We were told that, while we would be subject to a penalty if we didn’t buy insurance, employers would be forced to provide it for their employees or face penalties themselves. We were assured that by October 1st those without insurance would be able to purchase insurance, at a much lower cost than ever before, on a state-of-the-art website – a health care hub of the future. There were set deadlines for each step of the process to bring transparency and allow for health insurance companies, businesses, and individuals alike to have confidence in the system – to have a plan and prepare for this wonderful new healthcare solution for all of humanity.
Then reality set it.

The Norm Changed – Ask Phil
After listening to all of the scuttlebutt about Duck Dynasty’s patriarch Phil Robertson a few things come to mind that haven’t been mentioned by the news media. Those who are attempting to make a big deal out of Phil’s interview with GQ seem to be taking his remarks personally. Now why could that be when we live in a Country that allows freedom of speech? | Read More »
A Sociopath in Our White House
It’s time to speak up, speak out and clarify who Barack Obama really is and what he’s done in five years in an attempt to destroy our Nation. Let’s call a “Spade a Spade” now, to heck with what someone has conjured up as to what is and what isn’t politically correct. Don’t know about you but I tossed the “Damn” race card out in | Read More »
Sen. Ted Cruz’ Press Release and Repeal of the ACA
Time, Talent, and Treasure (what I have left of it) I will pledge to any and all who help Senator Ted Cruz successfully repeal the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare (see Ted Cruz’ Press Release HERE). This is your Come to Jesus moment. Whatever mistakes you’ve made in the past I will forgive if you do two things. First, you must publicly, and | Read More »
Conservatives Should Change Mind on Death Penalty
Typically, support for the death penalty comes among Republicans and conservatives, the groups known historically for being “tough on crime.” But a new coalition aims to give a voice to those conservatives who feel otherwise. Conservatives Concerned about the Death Penalty (CCATDP) debuted at CPAC in Maryland this year and has since gained considerable publicity. “It’s important to remember that we can be tough on | Read More »
