DNC Wrap-up: Day One a Waste
The first night of the Democratic National Convention is (mercifully) over, and even for a political junkie, this was difficult to watch. The after show reviews are coming in and a consensus appears to be building that this was a wasted night. CNN’s David Gergen was the first to remark on this around 9 PM Eastern.”We’re two hours into this and so far, nothing of | Read More »

Obama Rewards Big Donors
National Journal has the latest from Mr. Clean: A total of 552 individuals have bundled $50,000 or more for Obama, and 36 individuals and couples bundled $500,000 or more so far, according to the watchdog group Public Citizen. All the attention lavished on the high rollers raises questions among watchdogs about what donors might get in return for their fundraising efforts.

Boycott the DNC
We should fight the good fight and not watch the DNC. Come on, Republicans, independent conservatives, let’s drive the ratings down by not lending our support. We must collectively (eeewwww) band together and ignore this proceeding. We will hear enough of it as it is, we can’t escape it. You can read all about it spewed by the propaganda wing of the Democratic Party, the | Read More »

You too can buy the Obama Family T-Shirt
In honor of Senator Obama’s devotion to his extended family and the DNC’s efforts to remove the homeless from unsightliness if not from sight altogether, we’ve created this little item in commemoration:Get the t-shirt here
A Tale of Two Erics
Let me get this straight. Dan McLaughlin, in a story headlined here at RedState, has pointed out a hit-piece on the DNC website against potential McCain VP Eric Cantor that accuses him of being…Jewish? Is the DNC actually admitting in print an anti-Semitic bias? And has anyone asked for a comment on this from Democratic Independent Senator Joe Lieberman? More on this, and the new “marching orders” | Read More »
DNC on Eric Cantor: “Both Abramoff and Cantor are Jewish”
The Democratic National Committee has a website set up to attack potential McCain running mates as “The Next Cheney” (if only); if you want to see there are pages dedicated to Bobby Jindal, Mitt Romney, John Thune, Tom Ridge, Tim Pawlenty, Carly Fiorina, Charlie Crist, Fred Smith and Eric Cantor. Lest there be any doubt as to the origins of this site, there’s a disclaimer | Read More »
Bush Not Running? That’s OK, They Can Pretend That He Is!
I guess it shouldn’t surprise me that Barack Obama wants to use the DNC Convention to paint John McCain as a carbon copy of President Bush but that is the latest report. Since George Bush isn’t running for President, and I know that surprises a number of my liberal friends, the second best thing to do is pretend that he is.This has been a tactic | Read More »
A Dem Convention Par-tay schedule!

Hillary to get her roll call in Denver!
In Denver, the Democrats will place the name of Hillary Rodham Clinton in contention for the Dem nomination. The State delegations will vote for either her or for Obama. Obama is slated to win. What’s in this for Hillary? The same thing that was in it for Ronald Reagan in ’76. Reagan did the ballot thing in Kansas City, 1976, and he made himself the frontrunner | Read More »
Wow. I hadn’t realized that it stung the Democrats *that* badly.
First, let’s watch this:Come, I will hide nothing from you: I worried slightly that this would set our conservative base’s teeth on edge. So, I said to myself: “Moe, when you write up this post, you had better include some links of all those Democrats saying some nasty things about McCain lately to make the point that either they were lying then, or lying now.” | Read More »
And the Democrats accuse us of using scare tactics
Taking a page right out of what they call the Republican playbook, the DNC has launched this wonderful website to “scare us all straight”. This group paints each possible VP with their own Bush/Cheney brush. The funny thing is, they even have the nerve to bring up links to Abramoff as if their party hasn’t had it’s own issues with fundraising – Norman Hsu, Charlie | Read More »
