Al Franken’s Completely Radioactive

The latest polling from Minnesota shows Al Franken falling far behind in his bid to upset Norm Coleman. It seems that his salacious writings, his record of lawbreaking and hypocrisy, and his negative tone is taking its toll. With that in mind, Franken has gotten his wife — whose struggle with alcohol make her a deeply sympathetic figure — to reintroduce him and testify to | Read More »

    Edwards Coverage versus Palin Coverage

As I was watching Governor Palin’s family parade onto the stage after her speech at the convention, it came to mind that the coverage of Palin and her daughter seem to be completely different than that of the coverage of Edwards.

John Edwards comes out of hiding…

Where’s the outrage!? Let’s put a stop to this. Email the Chancellor Richard H Herman rhh at University spokeswoman Robin Kaler today said a student group at Illinois had booked Edwards to speak on campus Oct. 14 on “The American Dream,” the Associated Press reports. Tickets are free; the student group is paying Edwards $65,000.

What to look forward to this week in Michigan politics

Cross-posted on Right Michigan at Happy Monday, pals!  Great weekend, wasn’t it?  Hopefully you had a chance to catch up on some sleep, catch up with some friends, catch a football game or two on Sirius (minor set-back for the Broncos but I’m still anticipating a Superbowl Championship this year) and avoided catching up on any work. And yeah, I know, not all of | Read More »

    We Knew It All Along

In the August 10th New York Post, liberal columnist Kirsten Powers has a piece about John Edwards titled “He Was Always A Fake“. Here is a quote that summarizes the theme of her article: But something about Edwards always seemed uniquely phony, even by the standards of politics. Actually, nothing about him seemed authentic. Who was he? Apparently, whatever he thought people wanted him to | Read More »

    Edwards Redefines the Term “Hyprocisy”

“I think this president has shown a remarkable disrespect for his office, for the moral dimensions of leadership, for his friends, for his wife, for his precious daughter. It is breathtaking to me the level to which that disrespect has risen.” John Edwards in 1999 on Bill Clinton

The rise of an unknown and the lesson for the Presidential campaign

The biggest lesson of the John Edwards its only sex story comes from Edwards own mouth “I went from being a senator, a young senator, to being considered for vice president, running for president, being a vice presidential candidate and becoming a national public figure,” he told ABC’s “Nightline” on Friday. “All of which fed a self-focus, egotism, a narcissism that leads you to believe | Read More »

What John Edwards did wasn’t so bad

Let’s put things in perspective: Were John Edwards’ actions really so bad? First, the woman never accused him of sexual harrassment or unwanted advances. He was not old enough to be her father, and he was not in any supervisory capacity over her. The affair didn’t occur until after his wife’s cancer had gone into remission, and furthermore, he’s probably not even the father of | Read More »

That is what Josh Marshall, the head dope at is spewing forth.. in fact here is what the idiot who runs the | Read More »

    Obama’s VP: Chet Edwards?

Texas Rep. Chet Edwards, endorsed for the Democratic vice presidential nod by Speaker Nancy Pelosi and veep-vetter cousin Patrick J. Kennedy, won’t say whether he has had talks with Barack Obama’s camp about the job. “I wish I could say more,” he said after referring questions about the vice presidency to the Obama campaign in a manner similar to the demurral offered by Kansas Gov. | Read More »
