Media Matters Continues Debunked Claim that Kagan is Not Hostile to 2nd Amendment
By: Brian Darling (Diary) | July 3rd at 07:00 AM |
Media Matters for America is pulling out all the stops to support the nomination of Elena Kagan to the Supreme Court. I dared to write a blog post criticizing Elena Kagan’s lifetime of anti-gun activism as evidence of the way Kagan would act and vote as Supreme Court justice. Media Matters targeted a few of my claims to criticize, yet they ignored the meat of my blog post. Media Matters wants Americans to | Read More »
“Kagan’s Lying Her Pearls Off”
By: Caleb Howe (Diary) | July 1st at 10:15 AM |
Ben Shapiro has the top story today at Human Events: I truly like Elena Kagan, but she is doing a terrible job of telling the truth during these hearings. At yesterdays proceedings, she lied in no less than five areas of the law, none of them boding well for the future of the Constitution. Abortion Kagan was asked by Senator Jeff Sessions about a memo | Read More »
Today in Washington – July 1, 2010
By: Brian Darling (Diary) | July 1st at 06:00 AM |
Republicans have thrown the towel in on the nomination of Elena Kagan to be Supreme Court justice. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) referred to her as “soon-to-be-justice Kagan.” Kagan’s answers to questions were vague and non-responsive, yet many Republicans have given up. Sadly, Senators seem to be prepared to add a justice to the Court who will fight for the next 40 years for progressive/liberal judicial activism. | Read More »
Fact: Kagan is Anti-Second Amendment
By: Brian Darling (Diary) | July 1st at 02:00 AM |
President Obama’s nominee to the U.S. Supreme Court is hostile to the 2nd Amendment. That is a fact. Clear and convincing evidence in the public domain proves that fact. If you hear the left argue that Elena Kagan is not hostile to the 2nd Amendment, know that those claims are proven incorrect by Kagan’s testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee and her lifetime of anti-gun activism. Today in Washington – June 30, 2010
By: Brian Darling (Diary) | June 30th at 11:00 AM |
Clearly, President Obama’s nominee to the Supreme Court Elena Kagan does not believe in a limited federal government. Senator Tom Coburn (R-OK) asked her whether the federal government has the power to tell Americans that they have to eat “three vegetables and three fruits every day.” Kagan declined to use that question as an opportunity to state that the federal government has limited powers and used the question as | Read More »
Today in Washington – June 29, 2010
By: Brian Darling (Diary) | June 29th at 11:00 AM |
Yesterday, the Supreme Court decided one of the most important 2nd Amendment cases in U.S. history. In McDonald v. Chicago, the Supreme Court held that a state or local government can’t violate your individual right to “keep and bear Arms.” Ironically, Solicitor General Elena Kagan was introduced to the Senate Judiciary Committee as the President’s nominee to serve on the Supreme Court as that decision was | Read More »

NRA Issues Gag Order to Its Board Members on Elena Kagan
By: Erick Erickson (Diary) | June 27th at 12:45 PM |
Internal Senate emails confirmed by NRA Board Members are highlighting just how far the National Rifle Association has fallen. The organization recently collaborated with the left to obtain a carve out of the DISCLOSE Act, legislation designed to silence bloggers and outside interest groups like tea party activists. This was a first amendment issue and the NRA gladly took a position and campaigned for its | Read More »

The House and the Senate will be working frantically to get work done by the end of the week on some defense measures and a tax extenders bill before the pending Memorial Day recess. “Train wreck” — That is what Senator Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.) said is on the horizon for the confirmation of Elena Kagan. Last week was America’s introduction to liberal Elena Kagan. The vetting of President Obama’s nominee to the U.S. Supreme Court, Solicitor General Elena Kagan, will continue this week and we shall see how the least experienced nominee in our collective lifetimes fares in her second week of consideration by the American people. Jon Kyl Announces Pre-Emptive Surrender
By: Erick Erickson (Diary) | May 17th at 09:01 AM |
Before hearings even start on Elena Kagan, Jon Kyl is declaring surrender. The number two Republican in the Senate says the GOP will not filibuster Kagan. Why give up the card early? Why signal to the base that there will be no fight? The Senate GOP can say there will be a fight, but if they are giving up their ultimate weapon early, a lot | Read More »

The Elena Kagan nomination to the U.S. Supreme Court is still in the early stages, but problems are emerging. Meet and greets for Kagan completed Day 2 and more one-on-one meetings are expected in the days ahead. Senators Susan Collins (R-ME) and Scott Brown (R-MA) sounded like supporters of Kagan after one-on-one meetings and had nice things to say about the nominee. Maybe they don’t even know that Kagan | Read More »

BREAKING: We Have Elena Kagan’s College Thesis
By: Erick Erickson (Diary) | May 13th at 07:50 PM |
This proves Elena Kagan is an open and avowed socialist. The woman declares that socialists must stick together instead of fracture in order to advance a socialist agenda, which Kagan advocates. 1 You can see for yourself right here (PDF). Kagan “Not Sympathetic” Towards Rights of the People
By: Aaron Gardner (Diary) | May 13th at 03:32 PM |
Today over at the Heritage Foundation Blog, The Foundry, Brian Darling begins exploring SCOTUS Nominee Elena Kagan’s rather poor record on 2nd Amendment rights. The issues arise from statements made by Kagan while she was a law clerk for Thurgood Marshall … Kagan, whom President Barack Obama nominated to the high court this week, made the comment to Justice Thurgood Marshall, urging him in a | Read More »
