Chicago, Chicago.. Its “Their” Kinda Town…

Drudge has a slew of reports about the situation in Chicago. The hysteria in the media is almost as bad as the perfect storm of (bad) information during the Hurricane Katrina debacle. Rush pointed out just moments ago – rightfully so – that the democrats are the law in this town and these are the very people who are record as saying that they would | Read More »

Obama Surrogates Refuse to Answer Threshold Question “Are We Better Off than Four Years Ago?”

As is the case most weeks, Sunday’s political news programs had a clear recurring theme – ducking the threshold question of this and every presidential election since Ronald Reagan so brilliantly raised it – “Are the American People better off today than they were four years ago?” With Democrats gathering for their national convention in Charlotte, the talking head circuit was riddled with Obama surrogates and | Read More »

Draining The Swamp In Our Glorious People’s Democracy

Way back in Once-Upon-a-Time Time, Early November 2006 to be more explicit, Nancy Pelosi, Rahm Emanuel and Steny Hoyer promised us all a New Direction. They all promised to seriously reform the House of Representatives, if the voters trusted them with control of that venerable institution. Pelosi declared with Oscar-Winning grandiloquence that yea, verily, they would drain the swamp. Who knew they would discover DDT | Read More »

    Obama Administration Blackmails Israel

Obama Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel stated on Sunday that “thwarting Iran’s nuclear program is conditional on progress in peace negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians.” Iran just gained a powerful accomplice in it’s efforts to eliminate Israel. Similarly, Hammas gained a significant advantage in it’s alternating negotiations and jihad over disputed territories in Israel.  Hammas can simply make demands and wait for Israel’s acquiescence as the nuclear | Read More »

As Transparent as a Cinder Block

President Obama spent his two years on the campaign trail (and the last two months, still on the campaign trail) talking about many ideas to bring “Change” around. One of his biggest pet ideas is to bring about transparency throughout the government. You can read about just one instance as such here. Throughout all of this talk of transparency, one place where I am extremely puzzled | Read More »

Real estate shenanigans and the Democratic Party.

Reading Brian Faughnan’s piece about Rep Alan Mollohan’s (D, WV-01) steering earmarks to his landlord while receiving free rent reminded me, of course, of Obama Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel’s (D, formerly IL-05) steering lucrative polling contracts to his landlord while receiving free rent. And now I’ve been reminded by fellow RS Contributor Mark I that Senator Bob Menendez (D, NJ) notoriously steered earmarks the | Read More »

    Don’t Pick a Fight with a Pit Bull…

If I were Obama, I’d rethink taking on Rush and Cramer. Nothing in their personalities would indicate a willingness to cower even under intense fire. In the time His Hipness can say “Look, uh..” both have registered two or three verbal jabs, and are working on a fourth. The arrogance to think that one will not get bloodied when mixing it up with a pit | Read More »

    Hope and Change

Interesting how few in the media want to admit what is really going on….I have heard reports that President Elect Obama’s (I am still wincing at the sound of that)pick for Chief of Staff will do wonders for our relations with Isreal. In fact, the Emanuel choice is just another example of Chicago politics…..I am linking John Kass’ column to give some insight into this…The | Read More »

    Let Them Eat Cake

Just read the post that contends Rahm Emaneul does not pay real estate taxes on his residence because the property is used for a charitable trust. Even if the property does qualify, shouldn’t Rahm be asked why he feels he shouldn’t pay taxes. I’ll bet his explanaiton is akin to “Let Them Eat Cake” Afterall, its patriotic. Would love to see further information on this.I | Read More »

    The Chicago mafia descends

The new White House Chief of Staff is Chicago congressman Rahm Emanuel.President-elect Barack Obama has it all figured out already. Axelrod’s angling for a White House job, and there will be plenty of other Chicago friends coming along. There’s just the minor formality of an election now, which they’re doing their best to buy or steal…We can still stop them, folks.
