I reject Donald Trump and would never vote for him. Here’s why.
I know it’s flabbergasting that a RedState contributor would oppose Donald Trump, and instead support candidates that RedState has supported and loved for years: Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio. But I have reasons that I will never support Donald Trump in an election (primary or general), and he can never even get my vote. Here’s why.
The fascism of the homosexual marriage advocates
As the primary season gets underway, CNN is an early leader out of the gate in manufacturing quotes for GOP contenders. (Via RCP transcript). At the Iowa Faith and Freedom Summit, Sen. Ted Cruz said Democrats seeking to impose gay marriage laws by judicial fiat are “fascists.” The problem is that the quote is neither a quote nor is it in context. SEN. TED CRUZ: | Read More »
First They Shut You Up, Then You Will Be Made to Care
I have to quibble, slightly, with the Washington Free Beacon’s Sonny Bunch. In a piece last week Sonny wrote that he did not think I was quite right with my phrase “you will be made to care.” Instead, he thought it should be “you will be made to shut up.” I would suggest that he stops too soon. Yes, along the way to making people | Read More »
Hungary limps toward fascism
In a speech to his party’s faithful, Hungarian prime minister Viktor Orbán seemed to signal a course that would not only make Hungary’s continued membership in the EU problematic but would result in a government that looked to Moscow for leadership rather than Brussels and one that would be ruled more in the model of fascism that Vladimir Putin has installed in Russia than as a | Read More »
Economic patriotism = fascism
Companies must hire more people, pay their taxes, participate in Obamacare, and support the Government at all costs. That’s the strong message that President Obama has been spouting for years, and the answer-men and women with whom he’s surrounded himself are simply his bullhorns.

Christian baker sentenced to re-education for opposing homosexual marriage
An Administrative Law judge in Colorado named Robert Spencer has issued an extraordinary rule in the case of Masterpiece Cake Shop which refused to help two homosexuals make a mockery of marriage. A Colorado baker found guilty of discrimination for refusing to bake a wedding cake for a same-sex couple must go through sensitivity training as part of his penance and rehabilitation. In December of | Read More »
Barack Obama, 2016 and the Burning of the Reichstag
Let’s face it, most Americans expect our politicians to lie. At least about the little things. Typically politicians try to keep things opaque so that they can easily massage the historical record once things don’t work out or the winds change. “I’ll put America back to work”. “I’ll bring home jobs.” “I support a fair tax system.” “I support education & women’s rights.” The less | Read More »
Sad — on the 40th anniversary of his milestone record, Hank Aaron displays ignorance, bitterness, and no class
Say it ain’t so…. Please tell me that legendary slugger Hank Aaron, who approached history courageously, displaying class in his quest…. The Hammer…. The Ruth-slayer…. Mr. 715—PLEASE tell me that, forty years after the Shot Heard ‘Round the World, he isn’t a bitter, crazy old man. PLEASE tell me that his interview to mark the Ku Klux Klan’s—What? Not the Ku Klux Klan? It was | Read More »
The firing of Mozilla CEO Brendan Eich — a fascist purge in a country I increasingly do not recognize
You know what’s scary—I thought twice about writing this. Really, in America, the Land of the Free…. cough…. and Home of the Brave, it ran through my mind that if I write and publish my take on the Eich controversy, I could be the next target of a movement which ruthlessly crushes dissent. The most frightening thought – among many – that I’ve ever had | Read More »
AWESOME — American educators are finally taking steps to jail students who use car-trunks to store dangerous pocket-knives on school grounds
THIRTEEN. That’s the number of days 18 year-old Jordon Wiser, of Jefferson, Ohio, spent behind bars because officials at Ashtabula City Technical School, alerted to an on-line message, searched his car, found a knife in the trunk, and called in men who train all their lives to rush into danger. Wiser had cleverly placed the blade in an E.M.T. jacket (part of a “Responder Kit”) and | Read More »
You Should Ask Whose Property Is It
Even for someone who learned at their grandmother’s knee that what’s mine is mine and what’s yours is negotiable the knowledge that some things are mine and some things aren’t came early. The whole idea of freedom rests upon the idea that within the wider world which is society there is a smaller circle that outlines what is personal and what is communal. Even in | Read More »

Big Government once again turns on its Little Partners
I’m going to use a loaded word in this post, so I want to get it out of the way right up front. That word is fascism. We all know it’s bad – just about the worst thing a government can become, although I can think of a few million victims of communism who might argue the point, if we could use a Ouija board to | Read More »
Comprehensive Amnesty Reform Could Lead To Fascism.
When Islamist fanatics Michael Adebolajo, 28, and Michael Adebowale, 22, allegedly murdered British soldier, Lee Rigby in Woolwich last Wednesday, it looked as if Enoch Powell was truly The Cassandra of Post-modern Great Britain. Could there be riots on the streets of England reminiscent of what has befallen Stockholm, Sweden in the last few days? Not if Dame Stella Rimington has her way. Here’s what British society would devolve into if we heeded her warning.
The 78-year-old, who was MI5’s first female Director General, said: ‘The community has the responsibility to act as the eyes and ears, as they did during the war where there were all these posters up saying the walls have ears and the enemy is everywhere. ‘There have often been indications in the community, whether it’s Muslim or anywhere else, that people are becoming extremists and spouting hate phrases.’

Subjects, Citizens, Guns and The Sequester
OK Americans, you; and I mean you personally, have a serious ego problem. You are not grateful enough. President Obama works so hard for you, and you don’t show him adequate love. He’s had it. He won’t be putting up with any more of your shenanigans. Therefore, you are going to get both gun control and sequestration – good and hard!
You see, some people are actually bringing up the point that sequestration was a proposal put forth by The Executive Branch. The audacity of these peons! They think they are citizens when in fact they are subjects. Morale Conditioner, Chuck Todd lectures us on how to think properly harmonious social thoughts.

CHUCK TODD: Of all the dumb things Washington does, this “who started it” argument has proven to be one of the dumber ones, especially since we’re so close to the actual cuts going into place.
The Moral High Ground
Tyrannical Governments: The British Empire, Nazis, Communists, Fascist Italy. Our founders knew that America’s citizens would need to protect themselves from out of control government…
