While tax time has come and gone for most, hundreds of thousands have reported they have fallen victim to the number one crime in America – Identity Theft. FTC Sues Florida Loan Modification Firm
The FTC recently issued the Mortgage Assistance Relief Services Rule, that prohibits mortgage foreclosure and loan modification services from collecting fees until homeowners have a written offer from their lender that they personally find acceptable.
