Politician Vs Republican: Florida’s 5th Congressional District Edition
If you haven’t heard yet, the people of Florida’s 5th Congressional District got screwed April 30th. Here’s the brief story: Eleven minutes after the noon April 30 candidate filing deadline for the 2010 election, Brown-Waite announced her intentions to forgo her candidacy and threw her support to Hernando Sheriff Richard Nugent, who had qualified earlier that morning by paying a $10,440 filing fee. The ploy | Read More »

Hello RedState! I would like you to meet someone I met. His name is Jason Sager and he is running for Florida’s 5th Congressional District. Instead of taking his word on his website, I personally met the man. This guy is the real deal. I first heard of Jason Sager when I went to see Glenn Beck and he announced his 100-Year Plan. This guy doesn’t even have a website up yet.
Ginny Brown-Waite: The Red Queen
This is just great. When criticized about how she announced her retirement, Ginny Brown-Waite responded with a statement that would be funny if she wasn’t so serious: U.S. Rep. Brown-Waite (R FL-05) And Nugent Shenanigans
I know this news broke Friday (April, 30th), but for some reason I am just now hearing about this: “As I have prepared for my campaign, I have been troubled by persistent health problems and have come to the disappointing and sad conclusion that I cannot run for reelection. There are simply too many unresolved issues around my health and my pancreas in particular. As | Read More »
Stand With Sager: The Man Of Hell No
“If Republicans are the Party of No, then I’m going to be The Man Of HELL NO!” -Jason Sager (CAN-R-FL-05) I laughed, “Can I quote you?” In fact, I love the quote so much, I choose it as the title of this article. This quote came at the end of our almost two hour talk, and so I will put it in context later. I | Read More »

BigGator5 (R FL-05) 2010!
Ok, not really. I want to go through a thought experiment in which I, BigGator5, was to run for Florida’s 5th Congressional District. Since I don’t want to step on anyone’s toes, we’ll say Ginny Brown-Waite has chosen to retire and return to private life at the end of her current term. I want to make it clear that she is not and I fully | Read More »
