Congresswoman Giffords, of course, was gravely wounded in 2011 in a murderous attack by a madman that left six dead and thirteen injured. Since then, Giffords has made a remarkable recovery; unfortunately, it apparently has not been enough of a recovery, so she’s resigning in order to concentrate on her health. The video below of the announcement both shows the extent of her injuries, and | Read More »

Son of Sam and Keith Olbermann see a link – perhaps even Loughner sees a link – but consider the source. The truth is people like | Read More »
The Media & The Shooter
By: Erick Erickson (Diary) | January 9th at 06:00 AM |
“The tea party movement won in November. Winners don’t go on shooting sprees.” This morning we pray for Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, her family, and the other victims of the heinous violence in Arizona. Giffords’ district – one with a significant Republican lean – is currently rated as vulnerable by respected analyst Charlie Cook. For a Democrat in a conservative state, representing a Republican-leaning seat, it is important to stake out moderate stances on controversial issues. That’s particularly true on a hot-button issue such as immigration, which is obviously very important to Arizona voters this year. That’s probably the | Read More »
Jesse Kelly (R CAND, AZ-08) ahead in primary two ways.
By: Moe Lane (Diary) | August 9th at 08:30 AM |
How do we know this? First, because there’s a new local poll out that shows Jesse Kelly leading the primary with 35% of the vote. Second, and more importantly, because one of his opponents put together a hit site. Link’s via Instapundit – I’m not going to give said site traffic – and it’s quite the little collection of innuendos and assertions-stated-as-fact, in its way. | Read More »
