Pimps For Harry Reid
By: Dave Poff (haystack) (Diary) | August 18th at 12:30 PM |
Back in March of 2010, “Harry: Money, Mob & Influence In Harry Reid’s Nevada” (written by Daxton Brown) was published, and contains some pretty damaging stuff about our US Senate Majority Leader. Brown, highlighting some of the darker sides of Reid over at Free Republic, suggests that Reid simply can not plausibly separate himself from “a substrata of money, mob and influence in Nevada going | Read More »
Reid’s new Angle on 9/11 mosque.
By: Moe Lane (Diary) | August 16th at 05:00 PM |
Sharron Angle went off on Harry Reid on the subject of the Ground Zero Mosque this morning – she takes the position that while people have the right to build a mosque there, they should show some delicacy of their own and build it somewhere else – and Greg Sargent was practically licking his chops in response. He was of the opinion that making opposition | Read More »
Harry Reid is a hypocrite on birthright citizenship.
By: Moe Lane (Diary) | August 13th at 09:57 AM |
Red Dog Report, Weasel Zippers, and the Washington Times all – gleefully, as well they should – report that Harry Reid introduced legislation that would have ended birthright citizenship in 1993. This makes Reid’s recent declaration that he couldn’t understand why any Hispanic could destroy his son in the polls be a Republican seem a bit… what’s the word? Nuanced? Contradictory? I’ve got it: “hypocritical.” | Read More »
What? What? I thought Sharron Angle was imploding.
By: Erick Erickson (Diary) | August 12th at 01:43 PM |
I also thought she was out there on social security. That’s what the Democrats have been telling us. Heck, that’s what some Republicans have been telling us. And then she went and produced this bit of brilliance. An imploding campaign does not produce stuff like this. I like it. Sharron Angle can win. We must help.
Marco Rubio takes Harry Reid to task for Reid’s latest racist slur
By: Dan Spencer (Diary) | August 11th at 05:03 PM |
Harry Reid once again demonstrates that it is OK to be a racial bigot, so long as you are a leftwing racial bigot. “I don’t know how anyone of Hispanic heritage could be a Republican, OK? Do I need to say more?” — Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV), August 10, 2010 Earlier this year we learned that, in 2008, Reid suggested that Obama’s success | Read More »
Reid: Back to the Drawing Board for Energy Bill
By: Steve Maley (Diary) | August 3rd at 06:44 PM |
As reported by Politico, Harry Reid has decided not to advance the Democrats’ Senate energy bill prior to the body’s scheduled August recess. The matter will be reconsidered when the Senate returns after Labor Day. Senate Democrats punt on spill bill “It’s a sad day when you can’t find a handful of Republicans to support a bill … that would hold BP accountable for the worst | Read More »
I told you Sharron Angle is Okay
By: Erick Erickson (Diary) | July 30th at 09:41 AM |
I told you yesterday that the internal numbers in the Rasmussen poll along with the other polling trends are good for Sharron Angle in Nevada. Well, Mason-Dixon is out now and also happens to be my favorite nonpartisan polling company in America with a high rate of accuracy. According to Mason-Dixon, Reid is losing ground and Angle is making up ground. The new survey by | Read More »
Sharron Angle is in a Good Position Against Harry Reid
By: Erick Erickson (Diary) | July 29th at 05:00 AM |
Here is a not so secret dirty little secret. For the past month a lot of conservatives have been nervous over Sharron Angle’s Senate bid in Nevada. Her campaign seemed uncoordinated and unprofessional — amateurishly caught off guard by the hell unleashed on her. Behind the scenes, Sharron Angle recognized she needed to regroup and reassess. For the past couple of weeks there has been | Read More »
Reid to Nutroots: ‘We’re Going To Have a Public Option’
By: Brian Simpson (Diary) | July 25th at 11:00 PM |
It’s the bad idea that just won’t die: the public option. Progressives have been pushing a government run “option” to private health insurance as some sort of panacea over the last few years. Their vision is that a government that has shown itself to be second to none in cost over-runs and bloat will somehow magically be able to operate more effectively and efficiently than | Read More »
Senator Lisa Murkowski Sells Out Conservatives — Again
By: RedState Insider (Diary) | July 17th at 09:00 AM |
Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) has done it again. Earlier this week we learned that Lisa Murkowski opposes the repeal of ObamaCare. RS Insider has been informed that there is a strong push by Senate Appropriations Chairman Daniel Inouye (D-Hawaii) to pass S. 1011, the Native Hawaiian Government Reorganization Act, also known as the “Akaka Bill,” this year with the active support of Senator Murkowski. The | Read More »
Reid leads, or Mason Dixon understating Angle again?
By: Neil Stevens (Diary) | July 16th at 11:00 AM |
In the runup to the Nevada GOP primary, Mason-Dixon and the Las Vegas Review-Journal understated Sharron Angle’s support by 8 points, and cut her 14 point win almost in half to 8. Now the pair releases their first post-primary poll. Are they gauging Angle’s support accurately this time?
Harry Reid loses key Dem demographic.
By: Moe Lane (Diary) | July 14th at 01:00 PM |
Not even the dead want him re-elected at this point: Chances are good you never met Charlotte McCourt during her 84 years, but I’m willing to bet you’ll be hearing about her in the coming days now that her obituary has taken Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to task. [snip] Her obituary, printed in Tuesday’s Review-Journal, reads in part, “We believe that Mom would say | Read More »
Illegal immigrants invent invisibility!
By: Moe Lane (Diary) | July 14th at 09:30 AM |
…at least, that’s probably going to be Harry Reid’s excuse today for his rather bizarre claim that illegal immigrants aren’t part of the Nevada construction industry. When a local reporter pointed out that American citizens were out of work because it’s currently easier in many ways to hire illegal immigrants, Reid replied: “I think that any information you have in that regard is absolutely without | Read More »
NRA Openly Floats A Harry Reid Endorsement
By: Erick Erickson (Diary) | July 13th at 12:47 PM |
The NRA is now openly floating, or at least allowing to be floated, its endorsement of Harry Reid, a man who voted for the Brady Gun Bill. In a New York Times puff piece on the NRA that largely gives the NRA credit for things it tried to undermine (more on that later), there is this: A point of contention on both the left and | Read More »
Did Harry Reid Know The Surge Was A Military Strategy?
By: Erick Erickson (Diary) | July 13th at 09:00 AM |
Over at Real Clear Politics, Tom Bevan notes something very peculiar about Harry Reid. Back in 2007, Harry Reid declared Iraq “lost”. On Friday, in a Las Vegas Sun interview, reporter Jon Ralston asked Harry Reid about that comment. Reid’s response? Reid said his comments were “blown way out of proportion,” pointing out Petraeus said the war in Iraq could not be won militarily. Then | Read More »
