The Only Thing “Phony” is the Investigation
The Obama Administration is hunkered down. The spin machine is in full force. The mantra is the same: the IRS targeting conservatives is a “phony” scandal, just like all the rest.
The only thing phony here is the investigation.
For example, the Secretary of the Treasury, Jack Lew, on Fox News this weekend refused to answer the simple question if he or anyone at Treasury, which supposedly oversees the IRS, has asked IRS Chief Counsel William Wilkins if he had any involvement in the targeting of the Tea Party.

From your Facebook passwords to Section 8 housing… why Barack Obama should be impeached for dismantling the very Constitution he swore to preserve, protect and defend.
We all know that Barack Obama was a Constitutional Law professor at the University of Chicago. He spent more than a decade lecturing on what is possibly the greatest document ever written by men. Later, when elected to the Senate and then the White House he swore to defend that same Constitution. Despite all of that, one has to wonder, does Barack Obama not actually | Read More »

Rep. David Camp is annoying the IRS employee union.
First off, yes, I know: “IRS employee union” are three words that should never, ever have been allowed to form a coherent phrase in English in the first place. So stipulated; but it happened. So at least be comforted by the thought that representatives of such an affront to good sense are unhappy at the threat of making the federal government use the same exchange | Read More »
Now the IRS Isn’t Cooperating with the Investigation
President Obama promised that the IRS would fully cooperate with Congress in its investigation into the IRS targeting of conservatives.
Now, in a bipartisan letter the Chairman and Ranking Member of the House Ways and Means Committee are complaining that the IRS is dragging it heals with Congress.

IRS rank-and-file STILL not getting it?
Oh, pity this poor, poor, put-upon Cincinnati office anonymous IRS lawyer. S/he wrote in to Robert Anderson’s Witnesseth blog after Anderson noted that campaign contributions among IRS lawyers skewed heavily towards Democrats (government lawyers in general do, really). After complaining a bit about that awful Republican party, and its hostility towards government lawyers, the government lawyer finished up: …if there is a lack of political | Read More »
IRS Chief Counsel Involved in Targeting Conservative Groups
Everything we have heard from the IRS and the Obama Administration about the targeting of the Tea Party seems to end up being proven false. The latest bombshell revelation comes from congressional testimony of senior IRS attorneys directly involved in the targeting of the Tea Party that IRS Chief Counsel’s office was directly involved in targeting conservative groups, delaying their applications, and developing the unconstitutional and intrusive inquire process.
This revelation the same day as Tea Party groups reject the Obama Administration’s false choice hidden in its expedited review “offer”.

US and Marxist Brazil: What Not to Do with an Economy
We just had another couple of installments in the long, inglorious anti-free market saga that is the United States Farm Bill. First there was: (Democrat) Senate Passes Farm Bill A huge cacophony of Food Stamp welfare spending: Farm Bill Follies: 80% of $955B for Funding of Food Stamps And farm market protectionism: US Farm Bill Gives Generous Subsidies to Agribusiness The Republican House then took | Read More »

WHAT DOES IT TAKE PEOPLE?
WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO WAKE YOU UP PEOPLE? Dr Jim Gschwind The Despondent Correspondent Talk about me, the “Despondent Correspondent”……oh I know everyone before the election got used to my tirades and rants (but based on fact….not emotion….That’s a liberals “tool”) and then I got even more despondent fighting my disability with the government and got sidetracked like many of us | Read More »

The quest for “clean” energy has involved a lot of expensive jousting runs at windmills, but that’s nothing compared to the even more ruinous quest for “clean” Big Government. The great and disastrous fantasy of the Twentieth Century was the dream of a wise central government, staffed by selfless and brilliant public servants, who could honorably employ coercive power to accomplish what individuals are too | Read More »
100,000 More American Citizens Targeted by Reckless IRS
The IRS is still out of control. The new IRS is no better than the old one. A new report last week from a nonprofit watchdog reveals that the IRS has inappropriately disclosed the Social Security numbers of 100,000 Americans.
The gross, wanton, reckless behavior of the IRS cannot be overstated, and its misfeasance aimed at politically minded Americans is reaching Orwellian proportions.

Still think Obama doesn’t love sister-enslaving-Sharia Islamists yet?
Still think President Obama was ignorant of Rev. Wright’s hate speech for 20 years, Muslim Brotherhood ties to al Qaeda, that the Stimulus would stimulate and that Obamacare would ensure you could keep private health insurance plans you liked before its passage into law? I didn’t think so, and all of the above was clearly discernible before his re-election eight months ago, much less over | Read More »

A Note from King George III’s IRS this Independence Day
America’s Declaration of Independence wasn’t referring to the IRS of the Obama era when it lamented that King George III had “sent hither swarms of officers to harrass our people.” But it could have been.

Kings George III, Obama: Choking Off Independent Economic Life
If only a gorget and a fort made of palmetto logs could stop the choking today as in 1776 Happy Independence Day! One of many reasons Americans can commemorate the approval of the Declaration of Independence by the Second Continental Congress in Philadelphia on the Fourth of July (the signing actually took place weeks later) occurred the week before in Charleston, South Carolina when American | Read More »
The FBI Hasn’t Contacted Any Of The IRS-Targeted Tea Party Groups
On May 14, the FBI claimed they launched an investigation into the IRS fiasco. FBI Director Robert Mueller was famously told Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio on June 13 that he didn’t know the name of the lead investigator at the Bureau spearheading the effort. That’s almost a month into the alleged investigation. This is a national story. It’s a major scandal – and you don’t know | Read More »
