Is Gov. Steve Beshear (D, KY) extorting campaign contributions?
By: Moe Lane (Diary) | August 1st at 07:00 PM |
(Via Instapundit) That’s the rather bombshell allegation being made today; the gist is that Rodney Young (a retiring psychologist for the Department of Juvenile Justice has reported that his colleagues were the target of an attempt to extort $500 contributions to Steve Beshear’s re-election campaign, with the threat that they could lose their jobs if they did not so contribute. The major argument against this | Read More »

By: Moe Lane (Diary) | May 26th at 04:00 PM |
Todd P’Pool is the Republican nominee for Kentucky Attorney General, and he’s looking to topple incumbent Jack “Aqua Buddha” Conway this November. We talked about that, the need for Kentucky to join the fight against Obamacare (and the job-killing EPA), and a variety of other things, starting with his name: Todd’s site is here. Chris Matthews brings DOOM unto Jack Conway.
By: Moe Lane (Diary) | October 18th at 09:00 PM |
Yes. That Chris Matthews. Matthews apparently did not personally approve of the way that Jack Conway smeared Rand Paul with a recent scurrilous ad, and so took the opportunity to smack Conway around for over seven minutes of pretty much relentless, aggressive interviewing. Yes, again: that Chris Matthews. As I remarked just now on Twitter, watching this was like watching Jack Conway get mauled by | Read More »
‘I will not be shaking his hand tonight…’
By: Moe Lane (Diary) | October 18th at 11:30 AM |
That will probably be the most quoted line from the Rand Paul / Jack Conway debate last night, and for good reason: it represents a rather drastic line in the sand drawn against the scurrilous and vituperative wave of attacks made by progressive Democrats desperate to keep their tottering Congressional majorities. The video: What Dr. Paul is referring to is this exceptionally offensive and cynical | Read More »
Democrats Think Jack Conway’s Desperation Has Grown “Very Dangerous”
By: Erick Erickson (Diary) | October 18th at 10:42 AM |
Things must be really bad for Jack Conway. He’s gone on offense against Rand Paul with attacks that (a) reach back to college days and (b) are filled with lies. When asked about it over the weekend, Democratic Senator Claire McCaskill called Conway’s tactics “very dangerous.” Conway is directly attacking Rand Paul’s faith. It’s not only very dangerous, it is also disgusting. As Senator McCaskill | Read More »
Is Jack Conway surging in Kentucky?
By: Neil Stevens (Diary) | September 27th at 12:30 PM |
The last SurveyUSA poll of the Kentucky Senate race showed Republican Randal Paul running away with it from Democrat Jack Conway. However the new one tells a completely different story in its top line. When two polls by the same firm of the same race differ by that much, there has to be a story behind the story. Fortunately SurveyUSA’s detailed public reports make it | Read More »
No progress for Jack Conway
By: Neil Stevens (Diary) | September 15th at 10:30 AM |
The last time Public Policy Polling hit the Kentucky Senate race, Republican Randal Paul had squandered a huge lead. Democrat Jack Conway had pulled within 7 in the Rasmussen poll back at the end of June, and he was even tied in the PPP poll of Registered Voters. PPP (this time for Daily Kos) is polling Likely Voters now, and it’s not good news for | Read More »
Jack Conway Using His Position in Kentucky to Kill Small Businesses
By: Erick Erickson (Diary) | September 14th at 09:20 PM |
Jack Conway is the Democrats’ Senate nominee in Kentucky. He is also Kentucky’s Attorney General. And Conway is on a one man mission to kill a large number of small businesses in Kentucky. He’s also abusing his position to help a major Kentucky business in the process. Here’s the deal. When you pass a FedEx truck on the road, you are passing a small businessman. | Read More »
SurveyUSA: Paul well ahead in Kentucky
By: Neil Stevens (Diary) | September 5th at 03:01 PM |
SurveyUSA is no fly-by-night operation in polling. They’ve been around a while, they have a reputation, and a great many newspapers seem use them to poll local House races. So we can’t dismiss their continuing series of polls which look very good for Republicans, including this new Kentucky Senate poll for the Louisville Courier-Journal with Republican Randal Paul seeming to overwhelm Democrat Jack Conway.
Democrat Jack Conway Uses Racist Tyler Clay Collins to Smear Rand Paul
By: Erick Erickson (Diary) | August 10th at 07:00 AM |
Democrat and Jack Conway supporter Tyler Clay Collins went to the Kentucky Fancy Farm Picnic this past weekend (a big deal in Kentucky) and began mouthing off some vile and offensive racist sentiments. Tyler Clay Collins also held up a sign disparaging immigrants to the country. Tyler Clay Collins wanted everyone to know how much he hates non-white immigrants to the United States. Tyler Clay | Read More »
Democrats Go to Canada. It’s a Fundraising Excursion
By: Erick Erickson (Diary) | July 13th at 10:59 AM |
Rand Paul’s opponent, Jack Conway, has ventured outside the United States to raise cash from trial lawyers. Conway headed north, to Canada, for a meeting of trial lawyers from whom he wanted cash. The trial lawyers ponied up. Conway’s campaign said it welcomes support from across the country, which Canada is not. But it wasn’t just Conway. The mob banker from Illinois, Giannoulias, went too | Read More »

With the help of the Real Clear Politics, here are the last few polls of the Kentucky Senate race. PPP: Randal Paul +1. RR: Paul +25. SUSA: Paul +6. RR: Paul +8, Paul +7. And now we have PPP: Tie. Why is PPP running so much further toward Jack Conway than the other two pollsters?
