Jan Brewer Shows She’s Got More Brass Than the SEIU & What’s-His-Name
By: LaborUnionReport (Diary) | September 23rd at 12:19 AM |
There are certain defining moments in some politicians’ careers that take them from the status of politician to a real leader. In Arizona, the fight over SB1070 is Governor Jan Brewer’s defining moment. In the fight over SB1070, Jan Brewer has stood up to Barack Obama, his Washington (and Chicago) entourage, as well as the “hand inside Barack Obama’s puppet,” the Service Employees International Union. | Read More »
Leadership and Loss
By: Erick Erickson (Diary) | July 13th at 06:00 AM |
“Leaders … just make a realistic assessment. And that assessment becomes very simple: John Oxendine must be destroyed either to get a chance to compete against Karen Handel or for the good of the party.” Down in Georgia, former Congressman Nathan Deal tried very hard to make immigration his issue. Trying his best to spin more than a decade in Washington as a plus in | Read More »
Arizona Needs Help. Obama’s Answer? Signs, Lawsuits and More Incompetence
By: Lori Ziganto (Diary) | June 28th at 01:00 AM |
Well, at least Obama can likely take credit for creating or saving one job: that of Arizona Governor Jan Brewer. Once floundering, she is now enjoying a 55% approval rating and is likely to be re-elected. Late Friday night as the Memorial Day weekend began, Arizona’s Republican Gov. Jan Brewer, in effect, suspended the state’s Democratic attorney general from defending the new law in upcoming legal challenges. | Read More »
Jan Brewer Reminds Obama Administration: Reading is Fun!
By: Lori Ziganto (Diary) | May 22nd at 11:54 AM |
Reading is fun! And fundamental to, you know, comprehending laws prior to demonizing them. Of course, the Obama Administration and other Democrats aren’t reading the law partially so as to give themselves that whole plausible deniability cover, together with their usual childish “La la la, I can’t hear you – and don’t care to anyway” behavior, but that doesn’t fly. Willful ignorance is not a | Read More »

By: Neil Stevens (Diary) | May 7th at 03:01 PM |
Daily Kos and Research 2000 looked back to Arizona. It’s a reasonably comprehensive poll, carpetbombing the general elections for Governor and Senate, as well as looking at the Republican primary for Senate. Let’s unpack it.
