Two Semi-Conspiratorial Thoughts
Thought #1: The Democratic convention hall is set up with the Illinois and Delaware delegations front and center. Which – especially if they go ahead with a full roll call of the states – would be rather embarrassing if Biden’s own delegation was voting for Hillary. Fortunately for Biden, Obama won Delaware; I wonder, though, if the fear of a similar scene was a motivating | Read More »
Joe Biden’s Record On Trade
Aptly summed up by Dan Griswold: “For a senator who prides himself on his foreign policy experience, Biden’s record shows great ambivalence about American participation in the global economy.” That’s just not good enough anymore. We deserve, as a country, to be more prosperous than people like Joe Biden would have us be.
Dear Dems – Thank you for picking Biden – Love, Repubs
To : the Democratic Party, the Obama Campaign team CC : the Treason Media, Hollywood elites, Western Europeans, Al Queda, Al Jazeera, the nutroots, Hugo Chavez, Kim Jong Il, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and a special shout out to Vlad ‘when I look in his eyes I see KGB’ Putin To all :
Biden in Plain Sight
Two sets of thoughts on Obama’s selection of Joe Biden as his running mate – more on this to follow: 1. Gaffe-Tastic! The initial gut reaction of essentially every Republican I know was giddiness. Biden’s the most gaffe-prone politician I have ever seen, and if you think about the competition that is a truly impressive accolade. Others have spent more time cataloguing Biden’s taste for | Read More »
Recapping a busy weekend at RedState
If you actually took the weekend off, we haven’t. Here is what you missed in our coverage of Joe Biden, then entire coverage of which you can find by going here. Likewise, you can have your coverage of Joe Biden included by using the tag “Joe Biden” including the quotation marks. Leverkuhn is excited by the Biden pick. Team Obama planning to “milk” Beau Biden’s deployment “for all it’s worth”
An Obama adviser has announced to the world that he will use Biden’s son to score political points, stating: “Biden is very well aware that his son’s deployment is going to be a big part of what we do in October. It’s part of our narrative and we’re going to milk it for all it’s worth,” says one of the Obama advisers. “Republicans would do | Read More »
MI Morning Update: DNC kicks off in Denver, Biden on Obama’s inexperience
71 Days Until Election Day August 25, 2008 MORNING UPDATE: DEMOCRAT’S CONVENTION…apparently the Democrats have suddenly developed a keen sense of morality… John Edwards has been banned from making a speech at the Democratic Convention for having an affair and lying about it…in his place, Bill Clinton will be speaking! BIDEN ON BARACK OBAMA…in his own words, Joe Biden makes the case against Barack Obama. | Read More »
A dissenting view on the Biden selection
I’ve been encountering much glee at Redstate over the choice of Joe Biden as Obama’s running mate, but I cannot join in that glee. While not a spectacular pick (if indeed Obama has such a pick available), Biden is a solid defensive pick. And given the overall Democratic tide this year, defense is a rational tactic at this time.
Pay no attention to Joe Biden’s son, Hunter. It’s totally not fair game. He’s only making money off his dad’s connections, that’s all.
Here is a story most of the MSM is going to run away from as fast as possible. The son of Barack Obama’s vice presidential pick, Sen. Joe Biden, is a top partner at a Washington law firm that has lobbied his father’s office, a family tie that could prove embarrassing for a campaign that has positioned itself as fighting lobbyists and special interests in | Read More »
Biden- Not a Bad Pick, BUT
Let’s go down memory lane a bit, as this will help to put Obama’s selection of Joe Biden in proper perspective. JFK- picked his convention opponent and Senate powerhouse, Lyndon Johnson., to the consternation of his supporters. JFK acted in the overriding interest of electoral victory. Reagan-the magnanimous Gipper chose his primary opponent, a selection reflecting great self-confidence. And a practical one, too, building a | Read More »
Biden – Plagiarism And Prevarication You Can Believe In
I’ve never had much use for Joe Biden. I simply can’t get past Biden’s plagiarism and Biden’s portrayal of his academic record which you can see in the following video: Four of the boasts Biden made about his academic record are false: Full Academic Scholarship – Biden actually received a partial scholarship from the university based on financial need. Top Half of His Class – | Read More »
MI Morning Update: GOP Statewide candidates announced, Obama-Biden bad for MI & for US
72 Days until Election Day August 24, 2008 QUOTE OF THE DAY: "I think he can be ready but right now, I don’t believe he is. The presidency is not something that lends itself to on-the-job training." "I would be honored to run with or against John McCain, because I think the country would be better off." Delaware Senator Joe Biden, Obama’s Vice Presidential nominee | Read More »
So . . . Biden
I admit it. I signed up for the text message and the e-mail. I got the e-mail at 3:50 am on Saturday morning and did not read it–as I was asleep. I never got the text message. It would appear that there were problems with the transmission of the text message. Not exactly the best way to show the campaign organization’s competence in the prelude | Read More »
Geography enthusiasts who watched the big Obama-Biden rally in Springfield, Illinois, yesterday were probably a bit curious to hear the town of Scranton, Pennsylvania, mentioned so often in relation to a man from Delaware. Together, Sen. Obama and Sen. Biden mentioned the town five times. Joe Biden has roots in Scranton. He was born there in 1942. But Joe Biden hasn’t lived in Scranton since | Read More »
Someone Explain This To Me? Please?
I have been racking my brain trying to figure why in the World Barack Obama would pick Joe Biden? I know a lot of people are asking the same question and the criticism of it is running rampant but really, why would he make such a critical election costing mistake? I mean this is game over for him and you have to wonder how he | Read More »
