Meet John Hickenlooper, now-endangered Democratic Governor of Colorado.
By: Moe Lane (Diary) | March 20th at 06:00 PM |
I’m calling Gov. Hickenlooper endangered for a reason: he just made a rather poor life choice. You see, the fellow bowed to pressure from East Coast liberals and signed into law today an effective firearms ban masquerading as a “high capacity magazine ban.” John Hickenlooper is apparently just self-aware enough to realize what problems this is going to cause him down the line: “[Hickenlooper] said | Read More »
Gov. John Hickenlooper (D, CO) to set up task force to stymie pot legalization.
By: Moe Lane (Diary) | November 28th at 02:00 PM |
I’m translating. Gov. John Hickenlooper will create a task force to deal with the fallout from the state’s legalization of marijuana use, possession and sales. ‘Fallout.’ See, right there you can determine the tone that the Denver Post was encountering from the office of the Governor. Later on… The task force is to include state officials, lawmakers, marijuana advocates and other “stakeholders” — likely a | Read More »
Public Records Reveal Web of Connections Between Local Green Groups
By: Aaron Gardner (Diary) | July 16th at 01:30 PM |
A search of publicly available records reveals a web of connections between environmental groups in and out of Colorado. National and out-of-state environmental organizations have poured money into the coffers of various green organizations within the state of Colorado, money which then can be traced to lobbyists, activist efforts, get-out-the-vote (GOTV) operations, and candidates running for local, state, and federal offices. Each election cycle environmental | Read More »

Dan Maes: Political Suicide Bomber
By: NightTwister (Diary) | October 12th at 06:00 AM |
Promoted to the front by Erick because Dan Maes must drop out for the good of the people of Colorado and of the party he purportedly would lead. Almost two weeks ago I wrote this. I truly believed it was in the best interests of Coloradans, especially in the long term, to continue to support Dan Maes in the Governor race. That all changed for | Read More »
Has Dan Maes been well and truly kneecapped?
By: Neil Stevens (Diary) | September 28th at 01:30 PM |
Any political party must work as a team to win. While the primary process will become at times a competitive and even divisive, any inability to set those feelings aside and back the nominee will give the party trouble. A few Republicans this cycle know what kind of trouble that is, but none has more than Dan Maes against Democrat John Hickenlooper for Colorado Governor. | Read More »
A tale of two polls: Colorado edition
By: Neil Stevens (Diary) | August 31st at 04:00 PM |
It seems like most of the third party and independent spoilers this year are harming Democrats, but the Constitution Party’s Tom Tancredo is clearly hurting Republican Dan Maes in the Colorado Governor’s race, currently throwing the lead to Democrat John Hickenlooper. But two new polls on that race, from Magellan Strategies via Real Clear Politics and Rasmussen Reports are so different that I think we | Read More »

From Unlikely Voter: Colorado voters have primaries to attend to today, but PPP has one last primary poll to give us something to look at before the real polls close.
