Obama moves deadline for Iran nuke deal past midterm elections
We wrote last week about how the Iran nuclear negotiations seemed at an impasse despite (or because of) airdropping secretary of State John Kerry into the negotiations. Iran has successfully split the nominal alliance seeking to thwart its nuclear ambitions, peeling off both Russia and China. Iran and Russia are allied militarily in Syria and Iraq making it very unlikely that the Russians are going | Read More »
Iranian nuclear negotiations on the verge of failure
On July 20, Iran and the United States reach a self-imposed deadline for reining in Iran’s nuclear weapons program. With the Vienna negotiations over Iran’s nuclear activities making halting progress at best and a deadline looming, the Obama administration announced Thursday that Secretary of State John Kerry would fly here this weekend to assess whether a deal is possible — and perhaps to begin negotiating an extension in | Read More »
John Kerry ignored by everyone as Iraq dissolves
Three things have happened in the past weeks that are making it obvious that the nation that has been Iraq since 1919 will soon cease to exist. First, the Turks have spoken in an approving way of the idea of an independent Kurdistan inside of what is now Iraq and has moved to address the issues that have fueled a long running Kurdish insurgency in | Read More »
Obama decides Iraqi Prime Minister Maliki has to go
As Iraq looks to be on the cusp of dissolution, the administration has decided that the man most responsible after Barack Obama, Iraqi Prime Minister Maliki needs to spend more time with his family. From the Wall Street Journal article U.S. Signals Iraq’s Maliki Should Go: The Obama administration is signaling that it wants a new government in Iraq without Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, convinced | Read More »
So much for debunking history: Donetsk votes for Russia
A word to the wise about history and debunked historical theories: the Domino Effect was real. It is still real. The Latvians, Estonians, Ukrainians, Poles, Czechs, Romanians, Germans and others who were buttoned up behind the Iron Curtain for 50 years know it’s real. Our indifference and idleness in the face of Putin’s reanimated Russian Bear provokes fears of another 70 years of an Iron Curtain, replaced by a Steel Ring, run from Moscow by a man unfettered by western morals, but skilled in crafting his own image at home, and abroad.

Global warming is a laughable farce… and John Kerry is a degenerate liar
In 2005, the United Nations Eco-alarmist Division predicted that by 2010 global warming would “displace 50 million coastal inhabitants around the world.” Rising sea levels, diminishing water-tables, and – New Word Alert! – “desertification” would make homeless the equivalent of eight New York Cities…. Folks, it was going to be BAD…. Millions dead. MASS starvation. There was even a rumor that Al Gore would have | Read More »
Kerry’s Pollyanna Mideast Peace Obsession
Last July, Kerry had delusions of a peace plan that could be accepted by Israel and the Palestinians. While he wasn’t promoting climate change, or chasing Russian FM Lavrov around like a puppy, he’s been holding court in Jerusalem, counting unicorns and rainbows.
The truth is that with Obama in the White House, and time spent on a mideast peace arrangement is wasted. It’s not going to happen. Neither side trusts Obama to keep his word, and the shared contempt between Obama and Netanyahu is no secret.

The Koch Brothers Ate My Homework
http://www.mlgoodell.webs.com In a stunning development, the Associated Press announced on April 1 that “President Barack Obama’s health care overhaul was on track to sign up more than seven million Americans for health insurance on deadline day Monday.” You may recall that the Congressional Budget Office determined that seven million people would need to sign up for health insurance on the government run exchanges for Affordable | Read More »
John Kerry talks a lot, says very little about #Ukraine.
Oh, brother. Bob Schieffer: The President spoke to Vladimir Putin we are told for 90 minutes yesterday. The White House is describing it as the toughest phone call of his presidency. DO you think it had any impact? What John Kerry said:
Relatively Speaking by Michael Goodell http://www.mlgoodell.webs.com From the front page of today’s Wall Street Journal: U.S. officials believe members of Hezbollah, the militant group backed by Iran, are smuggling advanced, guided-missile systems into Lebanon from Syria piece by piece to evade a secretive Israeli air campaign designed to stop them. The moves illustrate how both Hezbollah and Israel are using Syria’s civil war as cover | Read More »
Top Liberal Spews of 2013- Part 5
At number 12 in the countdown is that lovable butler from the old Addams Family sit-com, Lurch- also known as Secretary of State John Kerry. This is a man who on at least three occasions in 2013 said that global warming was the number one threat to our national security. So if I get this right, Syria’s chemical arsenal, a nuclear Iran and North Korea, | Read More »
When Moderates Attack
http://www.mlgoodell.webs.com The world continues to reel in the wake of the shocking execution of a top ranking North Korean official. The Korean Central News Agency confirmed Jang Song Thaek’s death, due to his attempt “to overthrow the state.” Jang, DPRK Leader Kim Jong Un’s uncle, having helped his potentially moderate nephew consolidate power, was widely regarded as the second most powerful man in the Hermit | Read More »
Obama: If Iran likes their nuke policy, they can keep it. Period.
But I’ll bet the Appeaser-in-Chief keeps this “you-can-keep-your-policy” promise unlike the one made to Americans under the domestic equivalent of the bomb, known as Obamacare. President Barack Obama is a serial liar but, like a stopped clock, occasionally also tells the truth. For instance, he promised skyrocketing energy prices. They set a record high in October. He promised to bankrupt the coal industry with new | Read More »
I Don’t Think. We’re Stupid
http://www.mlgoodell.webs.com Last weekend American diplomacy was dealt a setback in its latest bid to appease Iran, This was due to what the Wall Street Journal called “unforeseen developments” such as Israel’s opposition to what the French Foreign Minister called “a sucker’s deal.” American Secretary of State John Kerry reacted to the development by stating, “We are not blind, and I don’t think we’re stupid.” What | Read More »
Play Me Again, Imam
http://www.mlgoodell.webs.com So basically what happened is this. Iran’s new president, the supposedly moderate Hasan Rouhani, watched Russia and Syria play our President, his Secretary of State and the entire American National Security apparatus for the spineless, egotistical fools that they are, and he said, “Hey, I got to get me some of that.” And so the slow dance of ignominy began. First, friendly words, in | Read More »
