Steve Schmidt’s War On Palin Is No Surprise
The chattering class in Washington is buzzing about former McCain campaign honcho Steve Schmidt attacking Sarah Palin on “60 Minutes.” Schmidt addressed some of the behind-the-scenes “revelations” in the newly released book Game Change about the 2008 election. It’s the same book that brought us the Harry Reid “negro dialect” remark. As Politico points out, it’s unprecedented for a former campaign strategist to so publicly tear down the | Read More »
Operation Leper 1, Nicolle Wallace 0
Chalk up a point for RedState.com’s Operation Leper. If the NY Post gossip column Page Six has its facts straight, she’s political toast: SARAH Palin’s campaign adviser Nicolle Wallace — who was blamed for the GOP veep hopeful’s notorious $150,000 clothes-shopping orgy — is through with politics. “My professional life will never involve working on a campaign again,” she tells next month’s Marie Claire. According | Read More »
The gang that couldn’t shoot straight
No, I’m not talking about the bunch of Corruptocrats in Chicago (this time, at least), but the bunch of mostly Republicans who mismanaged the McCain campain. According to reports here and here from Fox5 in Washington, DC, the station purchased two Blackberry units from the McCain campaign. The organization had announced in an e-mail to staffers that it was selling off computers, office equipment and | Read More »
Steve Schmidt: The towel story is untrue
From Greta: I just got a call from Steve Schmidt, of the Senator McCain campaign. He has never originated a call to me before. He said the report (and it has gone viral on the internet and other MSM) that Governor Palin came to the door in a towel is a UNTRUE. He said: “NEVER HAPPENED.” He said he only saw her in business suits | Read More »
“Repbulicans” should stop spreading lies about Palin
I am angry that some McCain staff are telling lies about Palin. Palin is very intelligent and to imply that she is some moron reflects an immature bitterness from someone who clearly can’t handle their emotions well. We lost and we all can share some of the blame but making up stories is very damaging to our party and our future political star, Sarah Palin.
What will happen with an Obama Presidency
(1) Our family is barely getting by each month as it is now and our taxes are going to go up.(2) Our retirement plans are down at least 30% (by the way, why hasn’t the McCain Campaign gone after Obama on this: the reason the stock market is “tanking” is because it is anticipating an Obama Presidency!)(3) Our health insurance costs have triple in the | Read More »
I Feel Palin’s Pain
I have been there before and I am sure many of you reading this probably have been there before too. Even as a young professional, having been in the professional work force only about eight years now, I have run into the problems it seems Palin is running into now.
The McCain Camp Is Too Quiet; Something Is Up
No public appearances for McCain or Palin today. Something is up. I was surprised they did not exploit Palin’s debate performance with a series of events. Instead, Sarah did a long interview with Carl Cameron that received a lot of media coverage. I must say, she looked terrific. No new campaign ads either. When they are focused on a theme, they tend to release ads | Read More »
Dutch journo/Obama donor claims McCain made her write lies to newspapers
A Dutch donor to Barack Obama writes in a Dutch paper, NRC Handelsblad, that she worked for the McCain campaign writing bogus letters to American newspapers. Romanesko reads to us from that Salon online teen magazine: “We are allowed to make up whatever we want — as long as it adds to the campaign,” writes Margriet Oostveen, who did time as a McCain volunteer and | Read More »
Are the Republicans too soft to win?
You know, in the bad-old days of Karl Rove; bad because we were winning easily, even with an incompetant campaigner like George Bush the elder, we would have crushed Sen Obama for his ties to Fannae and Freddy. We would have crushed him for his ties to oil policies 7 of 10 Americans disagree with. We would have had “Inflate your tires” as his energy | Read More »
Focus, Republicans, Focus on the Economy Claims by Big Brobama!
Focus on countering the claims Big Brobama is and will be making about the crashes on Wall Street! Big Brobama is already putting out a 2-minute ad full of the usual stereotypes: class warfare agitprop of the most typical kind, blaming W. and the Republicans and greedy businessmen for everything. History lessons about how the mess can be traced back in part to Clinton’s Jamie | Read More »
McCain/Palin Troops beware
Crossposted at OpinionTimes.com The recently converted McCain supporters (once disaffected members of the Republican base) should be excited about the current McCain bump. But it will be all for naught if the McCain campaign doesn’t focus that energy on a strong effort to get like-minded voters to the polls. Just kiss it all goodbye without a grassroots effort which eclipses 2004. And Karl Rove (love | Read More »
Free Sarah Palin
I am a huge fan of Sara Palin, but the McCain folks need to let her start talking about some new stuff. It has been over 2 weeks, and enough about the jet sold on ebay and the bridge to nowhere! She has got to get some new material out…NEW MATERIAL! Got it? NEW MATERIAL There is plenty to talk about, so let’s somehow get | Read More »
