Frank Rich column on Steele, Palin (or, Erick Erickson again in the Sunday NY Times)
Erick Everywhere strikes again! Last week, I pointed out that Erick Erickson was in Charles Blow’s Saturday New York Times opinion and in the Sunday New York Times Magazine story on the Florida GOP primary. I never read columnist Frank Rich, but the column’s headline “The Great Tea Party Rip-Off” caught my attention. Rich rips Michael Steele and Sarah Palin, and I actually somewhat agree with | Read More »
Memo to Michael Steele
I remember back in November when you hopped on a plane to congratulate Chris Christie for his victory in New Jersey. On Tuesday night, if Scott Brown should prevail, don’t you dare! It won’t be your party; and you can interpret that phrase everywhich way. We should all thank you Scott Brown for having the fortitude to persevere. He worked every day, 18 hours a | Read More »
What’s At Stake In Illinois
With less than a month left before the Illinois Primary on February 2nd, Patrick Hughes has released this TV ad: While most of the politicos and pundits are focused on other races across the United States, Illinois has one of the first opportunities to place a conservative Republican on the ballot for the General Election. With this ad, Hughes shows what is truly on the | Read More »
Does Michael Steele Have The Right Stuff?
I have to confess I’ve been conflicted over whether Michael Steele was a true Conservative, or just another product of the go-along get-along Republican National Party we’ve so come to despise. I’ve swung both ways on Mr Steele. Early on he made what I considered to be some major blunders, in particular when dealing with the phenomenon known as the ‘Tea Parties’ and us homespun | Read More »
Where the Hell is the Republican Party?
OK, I’ve been patient, quietly waiting for GOP leaders to find themselves in the wilderness and come forward with a plan, any plan. A plan that will run contradictory to what Obama and his band of merry spenders on Capital Hill are doing. Instead, what do I see? I see the Chairman of the Republican National Committee on Hannity last night hawking his new book. | Read More »
A Weak Man Of Steele
This is why Michael Steele is a tool and needs to be replaced as chairman of the Republican National Committee by someone — anyone — with a set of cojones. The neutered RNC chairman told Sean Hannity he doesn’t think the Republicans can win back control of the House of Representatives in November. RNC Chairman Michael Steele said Monday night that he doesn’t think Republicans | Read More »
On Michael Steele
I’m never shy about dinging Michael Steele when I disagree with him or when he puts his foot in his mouth, but I’ve tried to make equally as clear that I really do like the guy. He’s extremely personable and funny. You can’t help but like a guy who poses for pictures with the interns like this.
A Response to Michael Steele
Folks, there are some serious questions as to the accuracy of the ABC News report linked to in this post showing a Steele quote criical of Palin, Pawlenty, and me.As a result, I’m yanking the post and digging into it. I’ll see what I can do to sort it out.Sorry for the inconvenience. This is bothersome. The actual video on which the interview was based | Read More »

OfA, DNC ‘Call Out’ Steele in New Web Video
Organizing for America, the increasingly combative political operation of the White House, today unveiled a new web video targeting Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Michael Steele, charging the Republican Party chief with “siding with Washington elites and insurance companies and playing political games to kill reform.” The latest installment in OfA’s “call ‘em out” campaign—a call to arms of sorts for complacent allies of President | Read More »
Dede Scozzafava is Toast. But We Need $25,000.00 ASAP
Kudos to Michael Steele. The Politico is reporting what we said would happen some months ago. “Chairman Steele hasn’t put up a cent, not even the obligatory $5,000,” said a New York-based GOP operative. “There’s been no support from the RNC. Democrats are going all out for this race. Everyone’s in the same direction.” Here is what I have been able to confirm about NY-23 | Read More »

Ad: Barbara Boxer: condescending, disrespectful… or just mean?
Senator Barbara Boxer is at it again. Whenever she disagrees with someone, her first instinct is to show them disrespect. Whether Boxer’s dealing with former Secretary of State Condi Rice, Gen. Petraeus, BG Walsh, Harry Alford of the National Black Chamber of Commerce, or Michael Steele, Chairman of the Republican National Committee, you can be sure that her condescending manner will show through — or | Read More »
