The Idiotic Sanctimony over Nazi Comparisons is Making a Second Holocaust More Likely
Apparently, former Massachusetts Governor (and current Libertarian Party VP contender) William Weld said last week that Donald Trump’s plan to deport 11 million immigrants in less than a year reminded him of Kristallnacht. That pronouncement, which I completely missed even though I follow the news pretty obsessively, was enough to provoke some personal injury lawyer in Pennsylvania to pen this hyperventilating column on CNN about | Read More »
Ben Carson Intelligently Argues Ad Hitelrum on Gun Control
Ok, so we all agree that it’s a party foul to argue Ad Hitlerum. People just see Hitler and tune out the rest of the argument. That’s a shame because not all Hitler-speak is hyperbolic idiocy. If you can look past the little man who became larger than life because of his evil, there is a lot to be learned from the intricate history of | Read More »

Ted Cruz and the Continuation War
I know that there are a number of smart conservatives who side with Rod Dreher in the flap over Ted Cruz’s short-lived speech to the In Defense of Christians summit dinner.
However as much as our feelings may get conflicted on these issues, I think Ted Cruz is right. We don’t always get to pick who are friends and opponents are in war, and sometimes the people we’d like to have on our side, aren’t. Some of the Lebanese and “Palestinian” Christians, are reminiscent of the Finns in World War II.

http://www.mlgoodell.webs.com My head tells me to leave it alone. Don’t write about it. Just leave it alone. The damage is already done. You can’t save a culture intent on suicide. So keep your mouth shut, don’t make waves. Don’t intentionally offend those whose taking of offense is beyond your ken. Then my heart tells me in Nazi Germany they called this attitude “internal exile.” That | Read More »
Obama’s Geheime Staatspolizei.
I know people who have escaped from totalitarian countries, coming to America seeking the freedom which we have taken so much for granted. In point of fact, we’ve all but squandered the greatest gift the Almighty ever granted any people. What remains to be seen is whether we have the sand to do the job. We’ve made a bare start with the Republican sweep of | Read More »
Global Military Dominance?
Who needs that? Surely not us. One connection that’s not talked about often enough is that between economic superiority and military superiority. They obviously go hand in hand. Your two most prominent examples being how we marshaled our resources in the 40’s to defeat the Socialist Nazis and how we did so again in the 80’s to defeat the Communist Soviets. One involved bloodshed and | Read More »
Ruth “Eugenia” Ginsburg
Politicians are notorious for obfuscating the truth, so Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s admission that her belief, “…that at the time Roe was decided, there was concern about population growth and particularly growth in populations that we don’t want to have too many of,” was stunning on many levels. The most glaring portion of her statement is contained in the revealing words, “…that we don’t want to | Read More »
Civilian National Security Force
Friends, I have to tell you tonight that this isn’t much of a surprise knowing Barack Obama, but it might be a surprise to anyone who has lived in this country for the past 100 years. Obama wants to create a Civilian National Security Force that is “…just as strong, just as powerful, just as well-funded…” as our military. For what purposes he would create | Read More »
