Chris Christie Enshrined In The G.O.P. Hall of Shame
As Republicans wrestled with finding a candidate to run for President in 2012, many in the party, including avowed Conservatives such as Ann Coulter and Bill Kristol, thought that the Governor of New Jersey was the man who could beat Barack Obama. He decided not to run, but his ability to win the nomination was in doubt anyway due to his positions on several issues | Read More »
The Only Thing “Phony” is the Investigation
The Obama Administration is hunkered down. The spin machine is in full force. The mantra is the same: the IRS targeting conservatives is a “phony” scandal, just like all the rest.
The only thing phony here is the investigation.
For example, the Secretary of the Treasury, Jack Lew, on Fox News this weekend refused to answer the simple question if he or anyone at Treasury, which supposedly oversees the IRS, has asked IRS Chief Counsel William Wilkins if he had any involvement in the targeting of the Tea Party.

Now the IRS Isn’t Cooperating with the Investigation
President Obama promised that the IRS would fully cooperate with Congress in its investigation into the IRS targeting of conservatives.
Now, in a bipartisan letter the Chairman and Ranking Member of the House Ways and Means Committee are complaining that the IRS is dragging it heals with Congress.

Stupid Liberal Quote of the Day- July 21st Edition
I am torn between three quotes the first of which is Obama’s musings on the Trayvon Martin shooting and Zimmerman verdict, but that one is too easy a target. About the only thing Martin and Obama had in common 35 years ago was their pot smoking. If he is suggesting that Zimmerman shot a potential future president, then he certainly is a terrible judge of | Read More »
Obamacare and the civil rights of minorities: Two peas in a pod
At least that’s what HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius claimed in her speech at the NAACP convention this week. In an amazing coincidence of timing—her statement came just a few days following the not-guilty verdict in the Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman case—Sebelius told the audience that opposition to Obamacare was equal to those who opposed the Civil Rights laws passed in the 1960s. “The Affordable Care Act | Read More »

IRS Chief Counsel Involved in Targeting Conservative Groups
Everything we have heard from the IRS and the Obama Administration about the targeting of the Tea Party seems to end up being proven false. The latest bombshell revelation comes from congressional testimony of senior IRS attorneys directly involved in the targeting of the Tea Party that IRS Chief Counsel’s office was directly involved in targeting conservative groups, delaying their applications, and developing the unconstitutional and intrusive inquire process.
This revelation the same day as Tea Party groups reject the Obama Administration’s false choice hidden in its expedited review “offer”.

Rulers are considered knowledgeable according to how much they have seen, and are considered capable according to how much they have heard. Everyone knows the saying that an intelligent ruler is constant through the day and night, discharging the affairs of office by day and attending to personal matters at night. Yet there may be grievances that do not get a hearing, and there may | Read More »
Union Awakening: Admit ObamaCare Will “Destroy . . . Backbone” of Middle Class
ObamaCare’s biggest supporters, unions, now call ObamaCare a “nightmare” that will “destroy … the backbone of the American middle class.” A majority of Americans agree. This pro-abortion law is bad policy, bad medicine, bad law.

US and Marxist Brazil: What Not to Do with an Economy
We just had another couple of installments in the long, inglorious anti-free market saga that is the United States Farm Bill. First there was: (Democrat) Senate Passes Farm Bill A huge cacophony of Food Stamp welfare spending: Farm Bill Follies: 80% of $955B for Funding of Food Stamps And farm market protectionism: US Farm Bill Gives Generous Subsidies to Agribusiness The Republican House then took | Read More »

Election 2014: Are Democrats Bailing On Obamacare?
The 2012 Supreme Court decision declaring Obamacare, aka the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, constitutional should have put the issue to rest. Only, it isn’t. Only, Republicans in Congress are still bristling at Chief Justice John Roberts’ unexpected deciding vote in favor of the president’s signature legislative accomplishment. Only, after more than 30 votes in the US House to repeal the federal takeover of America’s healthcare | Read More »
Charles Murray Had A Point: America Coming Apart
Ah, The Bubblelands. Those who live in places that Charles Murray described as Superzips in his analytical masterpiece Coming Apart. We have such a wonderful cognitive elite in America. How they enjoy their sojourns to Davos or a jolly old talk at one this year’s TED Conferences. Life is easy in these blessed enclaves. It’s harder when you cross the tracks and step into a world far different from what our current leadership views as America.
Outside the high walls and far from the gilded mansions another America lies stricken with cancer. Their culture dissolves, their cities are so violent that their own elected representatives call in The National Guard. The ambulances no longer make it in time to save you from “The Big One.” In Detroit, as municipal bankruptcy ensues, people laugh at the idea of being saved by an ambulance.

100,000 More American Citizens Targeted by Reckless IRS
The IRS is still out of control. The new IRS is no better than the old one. A new report last week from a nonprofit watchdog reveals that the IRS has inappropriately disclosed the Social Security numbers of 100,000 Americans.
The gross, wanton, reckless behavior of the IRS cannot be overstated, and its misfeasance aimed at politically minded Americans is reaching Orwellian proportions.

What if making Obamacare work never was the real plan?
Day before yesterday I had this thought: What if Obama never intended Obamacare to actually happen? Or maybe, didn’t care? He had something else in mind… Then came the 4th of July, and came across a few bits of Alternate History. First I read Paul Pirie’s “The American Revolution was a flop” in the Washington Post, where the author (“former historian” and “freelance writer” living in | Read More »
Stupid Liberal Quote of the Day- July 3rd edition
Today’s stupid liberal quote of the day comes from none other than our environmental commander-in-chief, the one…the only Barack Hussein Obama. Speaking on his vacation in Africa- a costly endeavour in these tough days of sequestration- he had this to say: “…if everyone is raising living standards to the point where everybody has got a car, and everybody has got air conditioning, and everybody has | Read More »
ObamaCare “Train Wreck” Delays Employer Mandate, Enforces Individual and Abortion-Pill Mandates
You know how you know it’s bad? Because this delay announcement didn’t come from President Obama or any senior White House official but was made by the Assistant Secretary for Tax Policy at the U.S. Department of the Treasury . . . on a blog. Typically anything that could effect upwards of 160 million Americans doesn’t come from an “assistant” anything.
