Jason Altmire (D, PA-04): pro-life? Pro-choice? Try ‘pro-keeping his seat.’
By: Moe Lane (Diary) | April 9th at 04:00 PM |
You have to wonder whether the Online Left finds equivocators like Rep. Jason Altmire (D, PA-04) as insulting as we do (not that progressives have the courage to call their own hypocrites out, of course). Let me set the background: in 2010 Altmire did his level best to look like a mighty pro-life champion, largely because he was running for re-election in a R+6 district | Read More »
Analyzing the new Pennsylvania district map.
By: Moe Lane (Diary) | December 14th at 03:00 PM |
The new redrawn Pennsylvania Congressional map is out, and it’s… well. If you ever wondered whether elections have consequences, then wonder no more. Executive summary: two of the least powerful PA Democratic Congressmen have been thrown into Thunderdome and told to fight each other; the other five PA Democrats have been, ah, reassured that their seats are safe; and the nine PA Republicans have had | Read More »
PA-12 special election today.
By: Moe Lane (Diary) | May 18th at 07:55 AM |
Also the Pennsylvania, [Arkansas,] and Kentucky primaries, but hold that thought for a moment. There is a special election today between Tim Burns and Mark Critz. The Republican candidate is fighting a two-to-one registration advantage, a contested primary on the other side scheduled to boost the other side’s turnout, and a media environment that will grudgingly score a Republican win while eagerly waiting to score | Read More »

Two days out on PA-12.
By: Moe Lane (Diary) | May 16th at 10:36 PM |
Finally got notified of the PPP poll for PA-12: 48/47 Burns/Critz. There’s been very little movement in the race since PPP polled it a month ago. The main difference is that negative campaigning has driven up both candidates’ negatives by 10-11 points. Where Burns’ favorability was a net +19 in April it’s now just +8. And where Critz was previously at a net +7 it’s | Read More »

DCCC Ad Pulled For Lies About Tim Burns
By: Caleb Howe (Diary) | May 14th at 03:10 PM |
As first reported by Moe Lane, Sinclair Broadcasting’s Pittsburgh affiliate WPGH-TV has pulled a recent DCCC ad for making false claims about Republican Candidate Tim Burns, according to a statement from the campaign. The ad falsely stated that Burn supports a 23% national sales tax and that he wants to ship jobs overseas. Burns Campaign Spokesperson Kent Gates notes that Critz has already been called | Read More »
Simply Put: PA-12′s Tim Burns Spells Out the Special Election
By: SA (Diary) | May 13th at 04:52 PM |
Republican Tim Burns can’t say it any better with his new “Simply Put” campaign ad. Burns differentiates the two parties succinctly and without slamming his opponent, either. The PA-12 special election to fill the people’s seat that the late Jack Murtha held for so many corrupt years is another opportunity to ring liberty’s bell throughout the halls of the Capitol. Voters in PA-12 take notice and | Read More »

We’re less than a week away from primary election day in Pennsylvania, so let’s take a look at the latest polling news from the House Special election to replace Jack Murtha, the Senate primary for Arlen Specter’s seat, and a surprisingly interesting House race.

PA-12: Wanna make union bosses mad?…
By: LaborUnionReport (Diary) | May 12th at 02:16 PM |
…then help Tim Burns retire Jack Murtha’s legacy by flooding the airwaves in PA-12 with this ad. Tim Burn’s money bomb has two days left. __________________ “I bring reason to your ears, and, in language as plain as ABC, hold up truth to your eyes.”Thomas Paine, December 23, 1776 Follow LaborUnionReport on Twitter.
Two Steps Closer to Retiring Nancy Pelosi
By: Rep. Pete Sessions (R-TX), NRCC Chairman (Diary) | May 11th at 05:25 PM |
Since becoming Chairman of the NRCC, I have had one goal – a goal I share with you: to retire Nancy Pelosi. In the next 11 days, we have an opportunity to take two crucial steps, in overwhelmingly Democrat-leaning districts, towards achieving our shared goal. But we cannot sit back and expect victory; we have to go and take it. On May 18 in Pennsylvania, | Read More »
Attack of the 50 ft. Pelosi!!
By: Caleb Howe (Diary) | May 11th at 12:18 PM |
Be. Afraid. . Easily the most photo-realistic graphics since Avatar. Also, if Tim Burns buttons really shoot lasers that is AWESOME. PA-12 is a race of gigantic import. It’s giant. Huge! Tall! Ok it’s not tall, but you get the picture. The special election next week in Pennsylvania is significant. Tim Burns can win. And you can help. Click here to contribute to the Tim | Read More »
Next Tuesday’s “other race” in Pennsylvania
By: LaborUnionReport (Diary) | May 11th at 10:35 AM |
[from the diaries by haystack] Union bosses are nervous about Pennsylvania. They should be. Next Tuesday is a BIG deal in Pennsylvania, as it is one of the six union “firewall” states that union bosses want to keep in union Democrat control. So far, things aren’t looking so good for them. After the desperate party-switching Arlen Specter got the endorsements of Barack Obama, the SEIU, | Read More »
Eight days and counting on PA-12.
By: Moe Lane (Diary) | May 10th at 09:49 PM |
Mike Pence went to PA-12 today to help Tim Burns. Can you help Tim, too? Remember: this is a district that the Democrats cannot afford to lose. And they know it. And they will hate losing it on the 18th. But only if we keep up the pressure.
Tim Burns consolidates his lead
By: Neil Stevens (Diary) | May 3rd at 11:28 PM |
It’s late in the day but I know this race is drawing plenty of interest, so here goes. Daily Kos and Research 2000 hit the PA-12 Special Election. This makes two consecutive polls from sources that lean toward the Democrats. But do Republicans have reason to complain?
