A Tale of Two Palins
Before I get to the main point of this diary, let me say what it is not. This is not intended to be a discussion of Sarah Palin’s qualifications for the presidency, experiential or otherwise. I will leave this to future diarists to discuss. JSobieski has promised to post to this effect in a comment to JadedByPolitics’ recent Palin missive (now at 350+ comments and | Read More »
California has a budget deficit of over twenty billion dollars. We lay off police and firefighters instead of the useless politicians, bureaucrats and administrative types that have created, and now work hard to perpetuate, disaster. It’s Bell, California on a statewide and national scale. Angry residents of Bell, California I cannot adequately describe the utter contempt with which I hold the people who were responsible | Read More »
Will Rudy Run (Again)?
2008 is full of teachable moments. One of the under studied lessons of that year is Rudolph Giuliani’s campaign. The problem was that it was also the lesson of 2007 and most of 2006. Rudy suffered extreme overexposure and his campaign rapidly burnt out when the field naturally broadened during the primary process. It’s a lesson he seems to have taken to heart. Giuliani has | Read More »
McCain appalled Joe the Plumber
Who cares, Joe. Enjoy your 15 minutes of fame and move on.
I’m not criticizing Joe because he is speaking ill of McCain. I’m sure he is telling the truth.
My only point is,who cares what he thinks. I mean to listen to him about his “education on politics” as he says in his interview is like taking business advice from someone who one a $million on a scratch off.
Like I said, enjoy your fame, save the newspaper clippings and move on.

Toon Poll: Why Did You Vote For Obama?

Is Huckabee grinding his ax or just being brutally honest about the GOP?
In his book, which was released this week, chronicles the events of the campaign as well as his thoughts, feelings and opinions on it and the candidates. In fact, his opinions are a little too forthcoming to some and many are saying he is settling old scores, or is attempting an early campaign against possible challengers. He flatly states that many of those that ran | Read More »
The fault in these public opinion polls
I do not post very often (to say the least) but I do read these boards all the time. Much of the discussions that I focus on deal with these polls. I would like to address some of these arguments of how these polls could be wrong. I will try to speak in real language, because unfortunately polling has morphed into a business that is | Read More »
I’m ready to VOTE
Up until this morning, I wasn’t even going to bother to vote. Why? Because I’ve learned that you can’t trust the majority of politicians — I live in Rhode Island. RI Government is crooked. My vote never seemed to matter. That’s how I felt about this Presidential election — my vote wouldn’t matter. Then, just this morning, I watched a Biography episode about John McCain. | Read More »

The polls this year are just plain messed up
I went through the polls from 2004. I looked at the RCP averages (and if they didn’t have one up, I averaged the polls from about 10/15 on to get an average). I then compared those averages to the actual results. Here is what I found… The averages will be listed first then the actual results: Florida: Bush by .6% > Bush by 5% Ohio: | Read More »
America In The World Today
With the election going on it’s no surprise the whole world is watching. Some have expressed enthusiasm for Senator Obama, calling him a leader and a symbol of what America is and how he can change the world for the better. Many in the world feel hopeful that America will rise again as the lone superpower to lead in a world with growing powers such | Read More »
John McCain is the Solution – Obama & Gang the Problem
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to choose the right man for President of our United States – he must be courageous, qualified to lead and committed to his country and people. He must have previous leadership experience and be able to pass a stringent background check, because a man’s true “character” should be the deciding factor for this race. America must have a man | Read More »
I am not Joe…
but my Dad is. Dad is a small town electrician who also does some heating and cooling work and who is self-employed in a small business. He literally has a mom and pop operation. Mom is his secretary. They live and work in a little Midwest farming community. Dad only attended a tech school, worked for others for a while, and eventually bought the business | Read More »
ARRRRGH! Stop this Madness, your Preachin to the Choir!!!
I am so tired of hearing all this crap about Ayers, Annenberg money, ACORN, association with known terrorist, and all the other Obama character flaws only here on conservative web sites and blogs. People we are missing the point! Conservative, Republicans, people with common sense, and everyone else in this country that has not been spoon-fed Kool-aid and Obama propaganda already knows the truth about | Read More »

Open letter to Senator McCain
Dear Senator McCain, I’m going to be honest. You were my third choice in the GOP primaries, behind the great Rudy Giuliani and the brilliant Mitt Romney. However, this presidential election is a choice between two men, two competing visions, and I have every intention of voting for you on November 4th. Although this sounds like a cliche, this election is the most important, at | Read More »
