Obamacare Promised $2500 Decrease in Cost for Families; Ends up as $3000 Increase
In the second debate with John McCain in 2008, Barack Obama promised, “We’re going to work with your employer to lower the cost of your premiums by up to $2,500 a year.” It wasn’t just there, though. He reiterated this numerous times on the campaign trail. Freedomworks has a great compilation to emphasize this: Well, to quote Freddie Mercury, “Another one bites the dust.” Yes, | Read More »
Is an election a gift for a job well done or a choice about the country’s future?
Throughout any given day I normally catch bits and pieces of three or four different talk radio shows during the day. From Rush to Boortz to Hannity to Michael Medved and an occasional Mark Levin peppered in. All are brilliant with their own styles, but sometimes they overlap. At some point last week most of them invited listeners to call in and explain why they | Read More »
Obamanomics 101 – The Stimulus Package Will Keep Unemployment Under 8%
During the presidential campaign, then candidate Obama made the downturn in the economy one of his cornerstone issues. Now, that he has been president for almost 2 ½ years, time for a “reality check” as Bill O’Reilly would say. So, welcome to Obamanomics 101 – where the math doesn’t work because the numbers don’t mean a thing. Obama’s main idea for re-invigorating the economy was | Read More »
Kudos Mr. President
Somehow the wrath of Al Qaeda, and other extremists was based on the United States, who “for no reason” invaded Afghanistan and Iraq, and was actively grabbing innocent Muslims, and throwing them in a U.S. operated “torture” facility in Cuba. I guess 9/11 must be just a forgotten crisis that was “wasted” to Obama and the left. (Mr. Obama, Rahm Emanual would not be happy with you disregarding his advice on how to use a crisis. Shame, shame, you should have known better. . .)

‘Liar, Liar..Pants on Fire….’
A Nation of Fools by Peary Perry (sign up for new columns at www.pearyperry.com) “LIAR, LIAR…PANTS ON FIRE…” So much to write about, so little time. One thing you have to say about old George W. Bush was the fact that he only gave us one or two things to discuss every couple of weeks. Not so with the current Obamathon, the hits just keep | Read More »
What will it take to Win in November?
The American people put the smack down Tuesday on Washington’s flagrant disregard for the average Joe. So what will it take to win the mid-terms this November? Unfortunately for the Republicans it will take more than just being Republican. American is looking for true leaders at this point. We’ve heard all the promises and seen the outcome of voting to impress the historians. Now | Read More »
Why Trust New Promises from Those Who Broke Old Promises???
From The Foundry: Congress wants America to believe its new promises to control spending even as it reneges on its old promises and spends more than ever. The “new” promise within health care reform bills is to reduce Medicare spending by hundreds of billions of dollars. Yet simultaneously, Congress is reversing 1997 legislation that claimed it would reduce Medicare spending. The latest example of hypocrisy | Read More »

AG Holder: no more raids on medical marijuana clubs.
I have two thoughts on this story (sort of H/T Instapundit*) Holder Hints at Ending DEA Raids on Medical Marijuana Attorney General Holder was speaking at a press conference Wednesday about Operation XCellerator, a crackdown on Mexican drug cartels, when a reporter asked him about the DEA’s stance on the raids. The reporter mentioned some raids that occurred right after the inauguration but before Holder’s | Read More »
What happened to my country?
This country was founded by those who worked their butts off to survive and then succeed. From the aboriginals to the European settlers and beyond. At first, you worked hard or you died. Do we really believe that the aboriginals would have given the “Pilgrims” any help had they viewed them as lazy and seeking only a handout? Achievement has been the fuel and fire | Read More »
McCain vs Obama: Part III – Leadership Experience
Much has been said in the media lately about leadership experience. Most of the comments have been directed at Sarah Palin, who is running as the GOP Vice President, not the President. And even though she served as a two-term Mayor of her home town and a one-term Governor of Alaska, the media seems to think she doesn’t have the leadership experience to hypothetically assume | Read More »

Too Many Promises
Who does Senator Obama think he is? Apologizing for America in Germany should have been political suicide for th young senator. The transfer of the last night of the convention to a bigger facility for his inflated opinion of himself was one thing. The lights and the fireworks and the dramatic music for his acceptance speech was another. But the shopping list of promises he | Read More »
O’Bama is Just Another “Bait & Switch” Politician
Cannot believe…, as the Democratic campaign goes on…; the true nature of Barrack O’Bama keeps manifiesting itself!!! First Barrack promised Hillary that she would be considered (even if not selected) for the VP position…. He did not keep his promise! He promised all his followers, supporters and workers…, they would be the first to know who the VP “candidate select” would be…; before anyone else | Read More »
Another Pelosi/Ried Promise Broken
When opening the new Senate session on January 4, 2007, the new Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid leader boldly proclaimed that “We are going to work longer hours, we are going to work full weeks, we are going to have votes on Mondays and Fridays.” In the people’s house, Nancy Pelosi made similar promises about the way business would be done under Democratic leadership. He | Read More »
