In Defense of Redstate…..
In today’s New York Times, columnist Nicholas Kristof wrote an op-ed about how Republicans are trying to “otherize” Barack Obama by playing up rumors of him being a secret Muslim or even the anti-Christ. In his column today, Kristof listed Redstate (along with Jerome Corsi) as one of the Republican institutions that was attempting to “otherize” Obama with the secret Muslim/anti-Christ rumors. Kristof even placed | Read More »
500 internal server errors are killing this site
It is almost gone, Noo ne can spend the time anymore fighting this thing.
Internal Server Error 500 Client Side Info
I just want to pass on this info in case it is of some help. My browser, firefox, is set up for web development and in the error console this is what is posted when I get that internal server error 500. [thumbstrips] [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80004005 (NSERRORFAILURE) [nsIScrollBoxObject.ensureElementIsVisible]” nsresult: “0×80004005 (NSERRORFAILURE)” location: “JS frame :: chrome://thumbstrips/content/scrolling.js :: thumbstrips_skipToCurrentHelper :: line 186″ data: | Read More »
The Unofficial RedState FAQ, Version 3.0
What is “NT”?Well, in some contexts, it stands for “New Testament,” but not here at RedState. “NT”, sometimes stated as or N/T or some other permutation, stands for “No Text”. Posters often use it to indicate that they are not posting any text in the body of their posting. When perusing the “Recent Comments” block in the middle of the page, one can then tell | Read More »
Culture11: Radically Taking on Culture
Okay so had to have noticed that liberals dominate entertainment, culture and most things that are deemed “cool” in society (aside from guns, motorcycles and other badass endeavors of the sort). And Barack Obama sure isn’t oh-so-close to becoming President because he’s a great leader or has good credentials. He’s where he is because *he reached into American culture and – he got to them.*Republicans | Read More »
Bart’s Clever Use of Redstate
Sorry Directors, if only I had as good a reason. I will endeavor to improve upon my duplicative posting.
Someone needs to say it… Hey Neil! Nice job!
Thanks for all the hard work the last week or two making Redstate 3.0 useable. I’m seeing conversations starting back up, the recommended list seems to be more normal now, and we don’t appear to be clogging up the server. Job nicely done, although I know you’re still going to be working on things. Commenting rules on this blog are: 1 – This is NOT | Read More »
New additions to the RedState Store
We’ve added to the RedState store. You can pick up a host of items including these two new designs:
Please help (or… I miss the old RedState)
All my diary entries are gone. Nor can I access them on the archived site. This server is V E R Y S L O W . . . The main page is not showing correctly. Everything is in one column. It seems harder to navigate. Maybe that’s just the learning curve. Has such a thread already been written? I don’t know but if there | Read More »
The Audacity of Jokes and Requests (again?)! Dreams about my RS: I sued the RedState.
What’s happening to RedState and the rest of the Conservative Bloggers? It seems to me that all us have also become “unwilling accomplices” of the Obamedia. We have become reactionists: our eyes are fixed to Obama in his on-going pleasure trips abroad. We have become “defensive” in our strategy to promote our Republican/Conservative Candidate, Senator John McCain. We have been wasting our energies to find | Read More »
What I like about RS 3.0
And no, this is not a total suckup diary! Of course, there are things that I don’t like so much. But these have received a fair amount of attention, so my own 2 cents would be redundant. The “My profile” page is the best! It displays all your comments, and allows one to quickly respond to comments on one’s own comments without trying to remember | Read More »
Happy 4th Birthday Redstate
I want to congratulate Redstate for its four year anniversary and the launch of this great new iteration of the website. Redstate has proven to be an essential way for elected leaders to communicate with their constituents and Erick Erickson and his team deserve praise for creating such a forum. It is ironic, then, that on the fourth anniversary of Redstate’s launch, some in Congress | Read More »
RedState, Blogs and Some Healthy Debate
Anyone who reads RedState on a regular basis knows by now that the contributors who lend content to the site aren’t shills for Republicans in Congress. And it’s that dogged independence that gives so much credibility to the conservative blogosphere — credibility that simply doesn’t exist on the left, where blogs like the Puffington Host [sic.] and Daily Kos serve as a bulletin board for | Read More »
Pull a Gamecock: GC Recommends that Recommenders post a comment
Every time I recommend a blog on this Beta-Redstate 3.0, I post a comment alerting the diary writer and the general public. I usually did that on 2.0, but it is imperative that we do it here at the “improved” site since the site does not identify recommenders. Moreover, there is ZERO stability in the order of the recommended diaries. They jump around from minute | Read More »
