This day. This moment.

If you don’t know how RedState started seven years ago, here’s the story. It’s a tale of a few guys with a few dollars and a few basic principles who got together and started something small. In the fullness of time, that something small became something big. The cast of characters changed, too: the original three co-founders are now off doing many other things. I | Read More »

    And we’re back

We may have issues though. In the backend, many little things have changed. The forest is the same, but the trees are different. Please bear with us, but don’t hesitate to report anything that breaks. Well, except for (NT) comments. Those are unfortunately gone for good, on purpose. I know. I used them more than anyone, and I will miss them!

We May Or May Not Be ‘Ultraconservative,’ But We Certainly Didn’t Call the SBA Pledge ‘Ridiculous’

The pseudo-conservative Washington Post blogger, Jenn Rubin, has decided to label RedState as ‘ultra-conservative’. I can only guess that it is because we advocate hanging the traitor Jonathan Pollard instead of setting him free like Rubin does and also because we here at RedState embrace Jim DeMint as a standard bearer for conservatism while Rubin would prefer to take an exacto knife and excise from | Read More »

    Using Twitter With RedState

I realize this is really random administrivia, but I have lately used the “tweet” button on posts at RedState (you have to go into the individual posts and look at the bottom of the post to see the button) and been disappointed to see credit given to @RedState for the content. It does’t have to be that way.For example, if you click the tweet button on | Read More »

Open Letter to Some Red State Readers

Today, I was looking over my Red State articles that looked at the 2010 Midterm elections state-by-state.  I have to admit that I did not read many of the comments as they came in, but had the opportunity to recently.  Part of that was because I was without a computer due to technical reasons for a while, but problem is now solved.  So,  would | Read More »

    We Got Caps

We have RedState caps. We sure do. I’ve got some at the house now and they are good looking caps. The caps come in, naturally, red, but also in khaki, and black. They actually are good quality caps and the RedState logo makes them look sharp.

    The Rising Sun

Last week, after months of behind the scenes arguing and frustration, I made the call (and take full responsibility for making the call) to clean house here at RedState. A number of user accounts were disabled. If you feel the need to understand my reasoning you can go here. If you want or need a full explanation surrounding what happened and why, you can go | Read More »
