“I Want to Get Involved”
Back up top by request. — Erick. I’ve been inundated with emails from people across the country who say they want to get involved. They are asking how to become a part of army of activists that the right will need to reorganize and re-engage against the left. In lieu of individual responses, I thought I’d write a post here at RedState that I can | Read More »
A Response to E Pluribus Unum
[This] (http://www.redstate.com/diaries/epluribusunum/2008/nov/07/dear-redstate-about-that-recommended-list/) is an awesome diary. It is quite well said. I appreciate it and the contributors appreciate it. Here is where we stand: A number of users have started posting throw away diaries that could best be comments. The result is that the good stuff scrolls off the front page too fast. I am going to begin deleting the garbage so the quality stuff | Read More »
Effective immediately, Skanderbeg and bs are our new front page contributors. Also, a number of our readers have been given expanded access to use RedHot in the site to foster a more livelier conversation there. Use your new access wisely and congratulations.
A Note On RedState Posting Privileges and a Change of Policy
In the last few days we have seen an influx in trolls harassing readers, spamming people, etc. We see this every election cycle. And it escalates right before and just after election day. We don’t want our present readers to be harassed by newcomers who are just here to make trouble, or pestered by spambots. Nor do we want sincere new readers being unintentionally lumped in | Read More »
So…now that RS 3.0 is “fixed”, can we get a link to “page 2″ at the bottom of the main page? Sometimes there are so many posts in a 24 hour period, I miss some that roll off. I know I can visit the archive, but that’s not really what I’m after. I barely have time for page 1, let alone reading through the whole | Read More »
Question for Neil about RS 3.0
For the last few days, the comment section and member diaries are “getting stuck”. I can post, see my post in the thread and even see them when looking in my diary. But when I refresh the front page, these two sections don’t update, until maybe an hour later? I’m sure you probably know about it, but I figured I should mention it. I am | Read More »
Happy Birthday Academic Elephant
It’s her real birthday and her site joining birthday. Consider this an open thread. I’ll have more on the convention later.
Let’s have a live blog for latest developments.
This has been fun, so let’s do it again. Note by Jeff: And “Delegate” wins the dumkopf of the night award, for his accusation that Sarah Palin probably “can’t name the leaders of our top European allies”….”like New Zealand, Japan, [and] Australia.” Well, done, Delegate! Your prize is eternal scorn and ridicule. Thanks again for playing, all. Have a good night!
I Can’t Quit You People (except Moe. I’m banning Moe)
Jonlester pees in the pool and flees the scene. EPU bails because the whole VRWC thing (or, as a local guy on the radio called it, the “VRWC Conspiracy”) gave him the creeps (yeah, yeah, I know he’s joking). But I can’t quit you people. This is the most fun I’ve ever had as both a hobby and a job. Day in and day out, | Read More »
The RedState Challenge, Issue 1
For the first two weeks on the new site, we did really good about blogging on state and local politics. Let’s keep it up. Here’s my challenge: next post you write, write about your state representative or state senator. Let’s keep the initiative. Be sure to put the name of your state in the tags. JUST TO BE CLEAR: Write about the people representing you | Read More »

So where are we with RS 3.0?
We’re moving slow. We know. I’ve read the diaries. There are things we (read: Neil) are working on as fast as we can to get the server response time improved. Right now, the way the front page is set up, a lot of repeated inquiries are being made to the server that can be consolidated. When we were in beta, we had such low traffic, | Read More »
Put down the keyboard. Pick up the phone.
I’ve had a lot of requests to post my speech from the Americans for Prosperity conference in Austin, TX. The speech ran as my RedState Under The Radar column at Human Events yesterday. You can view it here. The text is also below. There are people in this world who are morally and ideologically opposed to us. We call them the left. They are a | Read More »

The Conservative Revolution Will Be Blogged
It is fitting that RedState 3.0 is officially launching at the same time the conservative revolution 4.0 is also getting started. In my lifetime I have lived through three significant eras of the conservative movement: Barry Goldwater, Ronald Reagan, and the Contract With America. While our political cart may be stuck in a ditch today, our belief in freedom, limited government and free market capitalism | Read More »
