Union Goons, Yet Again, Target A Businessman For Attack
By: Erick Erickson (Diary) | January 18th at 12:49 PM |
Editorial Note: Originally this post only mentioned the SEIU, but I have fixed it to clarify that the SEIU is one of several unions involved. The head of the SEIU purple people beaters attacked Sarah Palin for her target map. He feared it might incite violence. But, that was Sarah Palin. The SEIU itself is perfectly willing to incite violence to serve its purposes. Walmart | Read More »
SIGA’s stocks more than double since SEIU’s Andy Stern was hired on board
By: LaborUnionReport (Diary) | January 1st at 07:00 PM |
Former SEIU boss Andy Stern doesn’t quite deserve all of the credit. After all, SIGA Technologies’ scientists did come up with ST-246 (a smallpox vaccine) long before Stern was brought on board to pitch the company to his friends in Washington. However, hiring Andy Stern (who happened to have a key to the back door of the White House) was most assuredly a good investment | Read More »
Winners & Losers: AFL-CIO Abandons Obama on ‘NAFTA-Style’ Trade Deal
By: LaborUnionReport (Diary) | December 10th at 09:30 AM |
What a week! When it was mentioned on Monday that this would be interesting to watch with popcorn in hand, who could have imagined just how interesting it would get? Between Monday and today, the President of the United States has been called a sellout and ‘mentally disturbed,’ as well as essentially told to go reproduce himself (in a not-fit-for-print sort of way), all by | Read More »
A House Divided: Andy Stern’s Ex Slams UAW’s King Over South Korean Sell Out
By: LaborUnionReport (Diary) | December 6th at 06:00 AM |
Incredibly, there are people who are further to the left than former-SEIU boss Andy Stern. One of them happens to be Vladimir Lenin his ex-girlfriend, Jane Hamsher (former Hollywood producer and current proprietor of the ultra-left blog Firedoglake). Purportedly, Jane dumped Andy when he backed down from the public option in ObamaCare. Some months later, after Andy left the union movement and got a job as a | Read More »
SEIU healthcare fund abandons children.
By: Moe Lane (Diary) | December 1st at 08:30 AM |
Please note, not every SEIU healthcare fund*. The specific one doing the abandoning is a New York fund for 1199 SEIU, which parent organization lobbied heavily for Obamacare… let us briefly walk this one through. SEIU needs more members if it wants to cover its underfunded obligations. So it went heavily for Obamacare. Obamacare includes mandates on expanding coverage for dependents to age 26. ObamaCare: Union Waiver Favors Pile Up
By: LaborUnionReport (Diary) | November 15th at 07:00 AM |
Union bosses fought tooth and nail to nationalize America’s health care—even, in many cases, to the detriment of their own members. Now, instead of chewing on and swallowing what they bit off, unions are getting waivers to the very plan that they shoved down everyone else’s throat. Here’s the list of known unions* getting ObamaCare waivers:
EXPOSED! America’s Democracy traded away for a slice of pizza!
By: LaborUnionReport (Diary) | November 1st at 08:00 AM |
It is hard to believe that, when America’s founding fathers established our democratic republic, they could have envisioned it could be so easily manipulated and corrupted so cheaply. However, to Democrats and their union handlers, the ends apparently do justify the means when it comes to transforming America. America’s democratic system for electing our representatives is supposed to be a model for the rest of the | Read More »
BREAKING: Significant Election Complaint Filed in Nevada
By: Erick Erickson (Diary) | October 28th at 11:17 PM |
Attached is a Nevada Election Task Force complaint filed late today in Nevada by Babette Rutherford, a Nevada voter. The complaint alleges scores of union tactics designed to undermine the integrity of the voting process and intimidate voters. Specifically, the complaint notes that union officials are busing in union workers, leading them to the polls, deterring or preventing the union member from going to unobserved | Read More »
This is STUNNING: SEIU’s Racism Rears Its Ugly Head Again
By: LaborUnionReport (Diary) | October 25th at 08:00 PM |
One paragraph in a story about a Chicago politician teaming up with the SEIU to get out the vote on November 2nd says a lot about the SEIU and its views of African Americans. It is one thing for the SEIU to send in paid (and unpaid) operatives to get people out to vote, it is quite another for them to target a race because | Read More »
Viva la Union? Breaking the Stranglehold of Government Unions Before It’s Too Late.
By: LaborUnionReport (Diary) | October 25th at 12:00 PM |
Last week, it was revealed that the government workers’ union AFSCME is spending $87.5 million to try to keep Democrats from being defeated on November 2nd. Interestingly, some people seemed shocked by this. They really shouldn’t be though. For decades, America’s union bosses have touted a desire to be more like their European counterparts and they’ve figured out the only way for them to accomplish | Read More »

Pretending The Union Money Doesn’t Exist
By: Dan McLaughlin (Diary) | October 22nd at 05:30 PM |
Desperate Democrats have been hyperventilating for the past month over money being spent by corporate and other groups, notably the Chamber of Commerce and Americans for Prosperity, to run campaign commercials. To conservatives, running commercials to attempt to persuade voters in advance of an election is known as “free speech,” and turnabout is fair play after corporate money went heavily for Obama in 2008, but | Read More »
Union Bosses Are Funneling Millions to Democrats to Keep Money Flowing To Them
By: LaborUnionReport (Diary) | October 16th at 08:00 AM |
Last year, for the first time ever, the number of public-sector union members exceeded private-sector union members. As it has been estimated (conservatively) that private-sector union members (most of them under the threat of losing their jobs) shell out $13-$15 billion annually in union dues, given the growth in public-sector unions, the union industry easily rakes in in excess of $26 billion or more per year in | Read More »
ObamaCare: The Chickens Come Home to Roost…
By: LaborUnionReport (Diary) | October 15th at 05:15 AM |
By now, most Americans know how hard union bosses pushed, tugged, bullied and threatened, using tens of millions of their members’ money on advertising and lobbying, all to get health care reform passed. Most Americans also remember (though many did not believe) the promises that health care reform would make health care “affordable for all.” And no one can forget how the legislation was sold to Americans: | Read More »
Democrats Are Funding Their Campaigns With Money Taken From Foreign Nationals
By: LaborUnionReport (Diary) | October 13th at 03:30 PM |
Do you remember the game of Whack-A-Mole? You know, the game you play on the boardwalk or at the county fair where, for a couple of bucks, you can win a stuffed toy for ‘whacking’ these stupid cartoonish-looking moles on the head with a mallet when they pop up? Well, this one is almost too easy. Last week, when the White House and DNC launched | Read More »
A Modern Day Jonah: When good people are swallowed whole by the SEIU…

You remember the story of Jonah, don’t you? Well, Jonah was only trapped for three days… [via the Chicago Daily Observer.]
