A rainbow of polls in Nevada
By: Neil Stevens (Diary) | September 15th at 12:00 PM |
Real Clear Politics showed 21 polls yesterday, plus we’re already at 5 today, so I’m grateful that some of them can be done in batches as with this bunch on the Nevada Senate race from Ipsos for Reuters, Rasmussen Reports, and POR for Fox News. If we color Republican advantages in red, leads for Democrats in blue, and ties in green, then this set is | Read More »
Today in Washington – September 15, 2010
By: Brian Darling (Diary) | September 15th at 10:00 AM |
Christine O’Donnell is the buzz in Washington, D.C. today. She joins Ron Johnson and Joe Miller as the most recent additions to the Tea Party push for constitutional conservatism in the Capitol. The House has 23 votes scheduled on the Suspension Calendar. The Senate will continue debate on H.R.5297, the Small Business Jobs bill. Cloture was invoked on the bill thanks to Senator George Voinovich (R-OH) giving Democrats the necessary vote | Read More »

AP: Sharron Angle “is Anti-Anything Latino”
By: Martin Knight (Diary) | September 14th at 11:19 AM |
You know what would really shake things up for the Angle campaign? A little push-back against the Press that ends up with a solid hit on Harry Reid. In fact, if she could make this SOP with every little hit piece that comes along, I’d bet she’d see a leap in her numbers. For example, NR’s Jay Nordlinger’s eye recently fell on this gem of | Read More »
Sometimes a candidate is more than we expect
By: Neil Stevens (Diary) | September 8th at 10:00 AM |
During the California Senate primary, my major criticisms of Carly Fiorina were that she had no public track record to back her on the issues, and that as a novice campaigner she was liable to make mistakes and lose a winnable race. During the race I didn’t quite give her the Tom Campbell treatment, but I gave Chuck DeVore all the support I could. During | Read More »

Harry Reid’s Job Review
By: Erick Erickson (Diary) | September 8th at 09:18 AM |
Harry Reid is saying he had nothing to do with the 14% unemployment in Nevada. But back in June, Reid was bragging about creating jobs. Now Harry Reid says, “My job is to create jobs.” So we have the Majority Leader of the United States Senate say it is his job to create jobs. The same man also says the lack of jobs is not | Read More »
Conservatives Have Won Nothing. You Read It Right. NOTHING.
By: Erick Erickson (Diary) | September 1st at 10:24 AM |
It has come to this, I’m afraid. We need to keep our perspective. Conservatives have won nothing. Nothing. Ken Buck you say? Sharron Angle? Mike Lee? Pat Toomey? Marco Rubio? Joe Miller? Rand Paul? Nikki Haley? Here, pay attention: they are all candidates. Yes, yes — we won primaries. Contrary to popular opinion that conservatives wanted a purge of party, we instead played smartly — | Read More »
The new normal in Nevada: Reid and Angle tied
By: Neil Stevens (Diary) | August 27th at 12:55 PM |
When Sharron Angle came out of the Republican primary in Nevada, oddly enough she was vulnerable. She got no unity bounce, instead taking a stream of attacks from Republicans nationwide. As a result, Harry Reid went on the air for the knockout. He didn’t get it. Even the new Mason Dixon/LVRJ poll has stabilized.
Sharron says, “Apologize to Petraeus.”
By: Moe Lane (Diary) | August 20th at 03:00 PM |
I stole this line from Jim Geraghty, because it’s the perfect way to visualize this latest ad from the Sharron Angle campaign. In this one, Harry Reid is reminded that lying about how you treat our military personnel is a bad idea, and that he should apologize for it: Isn’t it nice to have a grown-up around who has some small hope of making Harry | Read More »
Reid’s new Angle on 9/11 mosque.
By: Moe Lane (Diary) | August 16th at 05:00 PM |
Sharron Angle went off on Harry Reid on the subject of the Ground Zero Mosque this morning – she takes the position that while people have the right to build a mosque there, they should show some delicacy of their own and build it somewhere else – and Greg Sargent was practically licking his chops in response. He was of the opinion that making opposition | Read More »
I told you Sharron Angle is Okay
By: Erick Erickson (Diary) | July 30th at 09:41 AM |
I told you yesterday that the internal numbers in the Rasmussen poll along with the other polling trends are good for Sharron Angle in Nevada. Well, Mason-Dixon is out now and also happens to be my favorite nonpartisan polling company in America with a high rate of accuracy. According to Mason-Dixon, Reid is losing ground and Angle is making up ground. The new survey by | Read More »
Sharron Angle is in a Good Position Against Harry Reid
By: Erick Erickson (Diary) | July 29th at 05:00 AM |
Here is a not so secret dirty little secret. For the past month a lot of conservatives have been nervous over Sharron Angle’s Senate bid in Nevada. Her campaign seemed uncoordinated and unprofessional — amateurishly caught off guard by the hell unleashed on her. Behind the scenes, Sharron Angle recognized she needed to regroup and reassess. For the past couple of weeks there has been | Read More »
Reid leads, or Mason Dixon understating Angle again?
By: Neil Stevens (Diary) | July 16th at 11:00 AM |
In the runup to the Nevada GOP primary, Mason-Dixon and the Las Vegas Review-Journal understated Sharron Angle’s support by 8 points, and cut her 14 point win almost in half to 8. Now the pair releases their first post-primary poll. Are they gauging Angle’s support accurately this time?
Obama Stumping for Harry Reid…
By: Tabitha Hale (Diary) | July 9th at 03:30 PM |
Harry Reid is clearly in trouble, and now Obama is strengthening his presence in Nevada. His poll numbers haven’t been above the low 40′s in ages, and most of the polling shows Sharron Angle ahead. The Senate Majority Leader seat currently held by Reid is a symbolic one, and would be particularly painful for the Democrats to lose in November. In 2004, Tom Daschle became | Read More »
NRA Now Leans Toward Endorsing Harry Reid
By: Erick Erickson (Diary) | July 1st at 08:00 AM |
Multiple sources tell me the National Rifle Association is planning to endorse liberal Harry Reid against pro-gun champion Sharron Angle. Two weeks ago, I told you about the carveout the NRA received in exchange for their support for the DISCLOSE ACT deal. Then this week, RedState broke the story of the “gag order” the NRA issued to members of its Board on the Kagan nomination. | Read More »
Today in Washington – June 23, 2010
By: Brian Darling (Diary) | June 23rd at 10:00 AM |
Tea Party Activists are likely to have another ally in Washington this Fall — Mike Lee, the Republican nominee for Senate from Utah. Lee will join Republican nominee from Kentucky Rand Paul and the Republican nominee from Nevada Sharron Angle as non-establishment Tea Party activist candidates for Senate. If these candidates are sworn into office, expect the Republican establishment to sound more conservative next year. The Senate | Read More »
