You now own part of an auto company

Just passed toniteby a 78-12 vote, the RINOs have caved to the Democrats. And President Bush will sign this piece of bulky legislation. And look, that state that hates autos, California, did not even bother to show up and vote. I guess they opted out. I sure wish I had the chance to opt out.

    Government Oversight … err Outta-Site

    1) The U.S. Government is Financially “Broke” and obviously is incapable of money management or fiscal conservatism … so why are we calling for more “Government Oversight” … We need Oversight on the Government. We need to identify exactly who was responsible for this current mess with all the zeal we went after Enron. Government created this problem so now Government fixes the problem they | Read More »

    The Two Obamas

Equality as a basis for society doesn’t work. History provides vivid accounts of the failure of societies whose goal was total equality. Two of the more notable examples are the French Revolution, and former Soviet Union. It is ironic that the more ardent the perpetrators of equality-i.e. French revolutionaries and Russian Marxists- the more violent they become. It is an exercise in futility and | Read More »

    Privatize Congress

As we speak Congress is “scrambling” to pass a Pentagon Budget while “pondering” what other items should “ride” on this must-do legislation. If they don’t get this done they can’t keep the Government running … which might be a really good thing for our country. Included in this spending bill: $7 Billion subsidy for the already $25 Billion Detroit Automaker Loans? Riddle me this.Labor Unions | Read More »

    A Personal Odyssey

I was once a liberal. Scratch that. I was once an ultra-liberal raving lunatic who read too much Chomsky and Zinn. I wore Che t-shirts and sported a shiny, red card that proclaimed me a member of the Communist Party USA. I had dreadlocks, smoked pot, and used terms like “wingnut,” “American imperalism,” and “a foreign policy based upon capitalistic greed, Christian fundamentalist tyranny, and | Read More »

    The Audacity of Socialism

Found this great series over at Investors Business Daily. The Audacity of Socialism

    Does Socialism Work?

So I was wondering why the democrats are so bent on imposing socialism on America? Winston Churchill said *“Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.” * He also said, “The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of blessings; the inherent virtue of socialism is the equal | Read More »

Biden: “People of the government, by the government, FOR the government…”

Joe Biden thinks socialism is patriotic. Observe: Biden wants to “take money [from people who make more then $250,000] and put it back in the pocket of middle-class people.” But “to put something back” generally means “to restore something to its former place of residence; to return something to that place from whence it came, whether it came voluntarily or was removed by force.” In | Read More »

    Pro-Obama or Pro-America?

“Thanks for sharing, but unfortunately, my husband and I are PRO-Obama…” This is the reply from a friend of mine, who received my previous email about Barack Obama. Her phrasing was extremely polite, even though my email was just a tiny bit (okay a lot) sarcastic. Even so, I thought, her choice of words rather odd. Then, I thought about my personal convictions. I have | Read More »

Taken off Jake Tapper’s “Political Punch” ABC Blog in response to Palin article:

If anything will continue taking this country 360 degrees from what it was intended to be and what has made it the greatest country in the world, it is the continued promotion of liberalism (socialism is the appropriate diction). People used to comment on the decency of Americans – you think this accolade was the result of liberals? Think again. They didn’t even exist. Sure | Read More »

Welcome To The World of Logical Outcomes

It seems that the British National Health System is facing a cost crisis due to rapidly increasing rates of childhood obesity. They may not be facing it yet, but they have smart people working for them, maybe even a Evil ORSA or two, who have drawn them a picture of what’s approaching down the pike. The British government has seen this picture and judged it | Read More »

How the Democrats Intend to Create Five Million New Jobs

So Barack Obama is running ads on the Olympic Games, promising to create five million new jobs by way of building an “alternative-energy” economy. This is also something Nancy Pelosi talks about a fair bit. And of course the newly-created jobs are to be of the Good, High-Paying™ variety, which is Democrat-speak for: Union. What’s this all about? In a word: Redistribution. Let me explain…
