Do you want to repeal Obamacare?
By: Neil Stevens (Diary) | October 31st at 10:00 AM |
Claire McCaskill. Bob Casey Jr. Sherrod Brown. Bill Nelson. Tammy Baldwin. Tim Kaine. These Senators and Senate candidates all support or even voted for Obamacare. Importantly, they all have Republican opponents who have a chance to win, thanks in part to the growing support for Mitt Romney in their swing states.
If we want to defeat Obamacare, it is critical that we elect Republicans to as many Senate seats as we can. The sad fact is that we can’t just get 50 and hope to win on a reconciliation tiebreak vote cast by Paul Ryan. You never know if the Democrats might find an anti-TEA party Republican who oppose the will of the voters and come to the other side. So we need to elect as many Republicans as we can.
That means no Republican left behind. George Allen, Tommy Thompson, Connie Mack, Josh Mandel, Tom Smith, and yes, Todd Akin are six key anti-Obamacare votes we need to elect, along with of course Mitt Romney.
We can only do this if we knock on doors, contact voters, and get out the vote for this important election. Please help.

[FURTHER UPDATE: Media Trackers retracts, apologizes for putting out the story. My apologies to Mr. Frank for my reaction; it was obviously uncalled for.] [UPDATE: The police are now reporting that the staffer’s story has been recanted. Absent any evidence to the contrary, this would include the alleged text messages: I look forward with some interest to whether that, at least, can be verified. And | Read More »
Eric Hovde’s Fuzzy Memory Regarding His Donation to Doyle
By: Daniel Horowitz (Diary) | August 8th at 10:45 AM |
There is a sad reality we must confront. We have less than 10 reliable conservatives in the Senate. If we ever hope to improve our fortunes in the “House of Lords,” we cannot become complacent and squander even a single opportunity to grow our numbers. We’ve enjoyed successes in Texas and Indiana this year, as well as Nebraska (to a certain extent). The next battle | Read More »
Wu donations a vulnerability for Senate Dem hopefuls
By: Beltway Whispers (Diary) | July 27th at 07:50 AM |
Readying to resign his Congressional post amid fresh sexual misconduct allegations and broader questions about his psychological fitness, Rep. David Wu’s plummeting political fortune has become a liability for those Democratic lawmakers whose campaign coffers were filled years past by donations from the Oregonian and his leadership fund. The National Republican Senatorial Committee highlighted on Tuesday a series of Wu’s yet-returned campaign donations to Democratic | Read More »
