The UN – It’s Worse Than a Waste; It’s a Tumor.

It was a boring afternoon and I was heading back to the office after an off-site meeting. Then Rush Limbaugh had to go and say something that made me laugh so hard I nearly totaled the Focus. Col. Kaddafi had spoken at the UN and suggested reopening the entire Warren Commission investigation to find out if the Jews had shot JFK. Limbaugh compared the UN to the cantina scene from Star Wars and I very nearly laughed my way right into the ditch.

Self Preservation and The Common Defense: On the Decline of American Power

I saw a few clips here and there regarding Obama’s world stage antics at the UN general assembly meeting in New York, and the G-20 Summit in the “Steel City”. I’m one who listens closely to those who speak with fork tongues, and with Obama the man speaks not only with a fork tongue, but like a transnational leader. What I suspected is coming true, | Read More »

    UN Ice Cream

And here is why I like Mark Steyn, even if he is a Canuck. Half a decade or so back, I wrote: “It’s a good basic axiom that if you take a quart of ice-cream and a quart of dog feces and mix ’em together the result will taste more like the latter than the former. That’s the problem with the U.N.” I think he’s | Read More »

    Caught Flatfooted

Let’s take the socialist Kumbahist at their word. Let’s pretend, for a moment, the apologists at the New Obama Times and the Washington Compost have the story right. The Obama administration knew the Iranians were building a secret nuclear reactor, the object of this reactor was to build nuclear weaponry, and the Obama administration’s policy of ‘engagement’ was in full play. Let’s presume they knew | Read More »

    Obama an Anti-Semite?

Kuddos to Netanyahu, who, to a room full of men who would like nothing more than to see the Jews disappear in a vapor trail, said these words: “Yesterday, the man [Ahmadinejad] who called the Holocaust a lie spoke from this podium,” “To those who refused to come and to those who left in protest, I commend you, but to those who gave this Holocaust | Read More »

Parsing Obama’s “Historic” Speech To the UN

Obama To Address World At UN- Breitbart Obama is at the UN toay “addressing the world”. Great. What our jug-eared clown of a president doesn’t realize is that a large population of the world is laughing themselves silly over him. Many laugh because he’s just that ridiculous, and others because they are giddy over the fact that Obama has pretty much tanked U.S. sovereignty, safety, | Read More »

UN solution to swine flu: Rich nations hand over $1.5 billion to WHO [corrected]

Maybe when Obama becomes UN God for a day later this month, he can announce that we’ll pay our fair share of this debacle… [My apologies. I must have been half asleep and for some reason saw 900m below and thought 900b. Arghhh...] The swine flu pandemic could kill millions and cause anarchy in the world’s poorest nations unless £900m can be raised from rich | Read More »

    UN Behind Healthcare ‘Reform’

http://www.cfr.org/publication/20066/ (links posted below in comment section, sorry) The US health care system is to be yet another victim of globalization and UN edicts, and openly slated for Global Governance. How about an arrogant ruling elite, a foreign concept to our Republic, that is so nutty they are best described as cruel, something to which they are oblivious, whose lust for power has corrupted all | Read More »

Did You Know You are Paying for THIS? [Update #2]

YAWN: UN Declares a Swine Flu Pandemic

Well, there were many who were a-little-worried-about-me when I posted the blog titled: I want to become infected with the Swine Flu. Now, is anyone really concerned about the just announced pandemic? Does wanting the Swine Flu to get the antibodies seem oh so radical, or just common sense? And the cry-wolf-crowd is now working on a lethality index to show how serious a pandemic | Read More »

The Obamassiah To Send AlGore to North Korea.

They hope that AlGore can help free the Current TV treporters on trial for spying. Perhaps AlGore should watch this before he goes. WARNING Not SAFE FOR WORK – LANGUAGE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b49Iwfp8U-U

    Our UN contribution at work

K-lo at the Corner points out a new effort from our friends at the UN. University of the Poeple: a tuition-free college education for those for whom it was just a pipe dream. But as they say, the devil is in the details. Here are the modest requirements: you have access to a computer you can access the internet on that computer you can afford | Read More »

    International Busy Body Laws Waning?

Are we beginning to see the first cracks in the idea of “universal jurisdiction,” the international busy body “law” that said that any nation can arrest the leaders of any other nation and try them for “war crimes”? Let us hope we are, at least. Now, I’ve always contended that the Nuremberg trials of Nazi war criminals was a mistake. Not because those Nazi scum | Read More »

Senate redefining the “Waters of the U.S.”-less freedom for you

Under a new act, see Clean Water Restoration Act S.787, Democrats are trying to change the definition of “Waters of the United States” to include ALL waters. This would include navicable AND unnavicable if they have their way. Ponds, streams and runoff from rain into temporary streamlets on private property will be under federal jurisdiction and control. Private land/water use will be subject to licensing, permits | Read More »

U.N. Security Council fails to act on North Korean rocket launch

What a surprise. The Sunday emergency meeting of the U.N. Security Council, called to consider North Korea’s launch of a ballistic missile, concluded without any official reaction to North Korea’s provocation. The U.N. will dither on like it did with Saddam and North Korea’s development of nuclear weapons, and as the U.N. continues to do with Iran’s nuclear program. The U.S. says the “launch constituted | Read More »
