Celebrate Constitution that was, use raw House power to defund Obamacare
The United States constitution is not self-executing. Sadly, in the Age of Obama it is more often honored in the breach. Republicans gain no ground pleading with Democrats to follow a Constitution they have long despised and whining about media bias as an excuse not to exercise its power of the purse. Yesterday was the 226th anniversary of the signing of the world’s greatest and | Read More »
Progressives Seek To Impose the Iron Cage on America
Sociologist, Max Weber famously wrote about the good, the bad and the ugly facets of bureaucracies. He saw them as a necessary evil that needed to be kept in check. He feared a technocratic dictatorship of Nietzchean Last Men. Weber’s argument is described below.
Iron cage, a sociological concept introduced by Max Weber, refers to the increased rationalization inherent in social life, particularly in Western capitalist societies. The “iron cage” thus traps individuals in systems based purely on teleological efficiency, rational calculation and control. Weber also described the bureaucratization of social order as “the polar night of icy darkness”.

Time to fix Washington – My thoughts
As I listen to all the banter back and forth on the solutions to the fiscal cliff and see that no one is actually proposing anything that solves any of the problems I become more and more disheartened with what has become of our governing processes. So much so that I believe it is time for some tough love for Washington. I would propose that two thirds | Read More »
abortion: Democrats continuous Hypocrisy
It is not the ownership or presence of firearms that cause such evil as seen in Connecticut. Instead it is a society drifting from God into the mentality, ‘I want to be a god therefore I should be in control’. When President Obama said, “These children were our children…”, I instantly thought, “Several years earlier when these precious children were in the wombs of their | Read More »

Moderates are Killing America!
If you don’t understand that then you need to open your eyes! America is dying a slow death and we are all too afraid to say it and do anything about it. The country is in the mess it is today because of the ill conceived notion that being a ‘moderate’ or someone who ‘compromises’ is what we should strive for. You hear it every day on | Read More »

A New American Revolution! When Will It Start? How Will It Start?
When will it start? How will it start? Who will start it? How will it end? What am I talking about? The next American Revolution. How much longer will people take what our own government is doing to us? For more than 30 years I have been saying, “If a foreign country was doing to us what our government is doing to us we would | Read More »
The “Primary” Process: A failure of Democracy
Ken Cuccinelli, Virginia’s AG, has sworn an oath to follow the law of his state and the US. However, in this case, while the law is valid, it makes a mockery of Virginia’s Republican Primary. Although it borders the nation’s capital, no candidate will campaign here in Virginia and as a result, Virginia’s primary will be a non-entity in the national media once the dust | Read More »
Who Should Hold Power in These United States?
At 54, I’m old enough to remember regular use of a phrase I seldom hear anymore but which I have intentionally begun using. I no longer say “the United States.” Instead I refer to “these United States.” I remember thinking as a child that use of the term was quaint and backwards; as if the user were ignorant. It seems I was the ignorant one. | Read More »
Harry Reid – Fertile Imagination.
Not that our Harry has a penchant for fanciful tales, you understand… but poor Harry hasn’t had much to crow about recently. Not to worry, though… he has assured his Marxist cohorts that it’s all over for the Tea Party. That’s it, we shot our bolt and now we’re all going to go home and sing campfire songs, while gazing rapturously at pictures of the | Read More »
The Utah Lands Protection Act (2012) – Rep. Fred Cox
The State of Utah is currently suing the Federal Government to take control of part of Utah’s land. Additional proposals include forcing the Federal Government to sell our public lands. Who are are they going to sell our public lands to? To Utah as a State, or to only private developers for energy, or to China or others that hold the US National Debt? Under | Read More »
AIM: Does TIME Still Matter?
AIM on Facebook | Twitter From Accuracy in Media‘s Michael Watson and Val Jensen II: Richard Stengel’s take on the U.S. Constitution tries to dispel the Tea Party Movement’s claims that certain recent policies under the Obama administration are unconstitutional. The main argument is set out when Stengel, the managing editor of TIME, states, “Originalists contend that the Constitution has a clear, fixed meaning. But the | Read More »
U.S. Armed Forces in Libya – What if?
The United States is at War again. On March 7, 2011 – The French and the United Kingdom first pressured for the establishment of a No-Fly Zone over Libya, but backed down. As of this moment the military interference in an internal Conflict, commonly known as Civil War, was on the table. The Arab league supported this Idea, but never intended to get involved | Read More »
I Don’t Want a President with New Ideas
Last Friday, Newt Gingrich spoke at CPAC. As I listened to his speech, I paid attention to the manner with which it was crafted. I listened to how the issues he spoke of had been carefully picked to draw a response from the crowd. I listened to his vision for America and his vision for the Republican Party. I also listen to everything he didn’t | Read More »
Obama now taking over Pharma research – My thoughts
In today’s New York Times, Sunday January 23rd, it published an article on the Obama administration starting a laboratory to develop new drugs. http://www.nytimes.com/2011/01/23/health/policy/23drug.html. The chief complaint in the article is that the pipeline of new drugs has been steadily in decline and that the government needed to step in. If you look at the problem and its’ root causes, the reason why many pharma companies | Read More »

What Is Going On With Senate Republicans? I Think I Know
It’s apparent Senate Republicans have made some kind of deal with Reid and Senate Democrats. But why?
