I Agree With Sarah’s Analysis

Cross-posted at Unified Patriots
I agree with Sarah Palin’s analysis regarding her choice for VP. Here is a portion of what she told Sean Hannity:

Top of my list is Allen West. I love that he has that military experience. He is a public servant willing to serve for the right reasons. He understands the Constitution. He understands our national foreign policy issues that must be addressed. He has served. I really like him.

They’re going to get clobbered. The media will make things up about them and their record and their reputations and their families. So no matter who it is, so they might as well get someone who is passionate and strong, as I say, like about Allen West, understands the Constitution and wants to put government back on the side of the people.

There are several additional reasons that I have for liking Allen West. Mitt Romney needs to throw the tea party conservatives a bone, and turn a cold shoulder to the GOP establishment for a change. Once the primary season got underway, it became clear that the main goal of the GOP establishment was to make sure a tea party conservative did not win the nomination. They were not immediately trying to make sure that Romney won – they were willing to consider Mitch Daniels, Chris Christie, or even Paul Ryan as the final nominee – as long as it wasn’t a tea party conservative. There are significant trust issues separating the tea party conservatives from Mitt Romney. Thus far, Romney hasn’t been able to prove that his flipping on his previously held positions is permanent. While this turns off tea party conservatives, it does give the Bob Michel wing of the GOP comfort.

Mitt Romney can defeat Obama under the right set of circumstances, but he can also lose to Obama. The fear and loathing the establishment has for tea party conservatives must stop, and Mitt Romney is going to need to embrace tea party conservatives as well as the establishment in order to defeat Obama. Mitt is not going to win by running on his record and biography. He needs to speak to us, and assure us that he truly has changed and is not going to flop back to previously held positions. No surrogate can do this. He must. Choosing Allen West as his VP will have the calming effect of knowing that we have one of ours sitting at the table of his kitchen cabinet.

This Weekend on The Credit Report with Bill Lewis: 3/17 – 3/18

Interesting guests and timely topics will be on AM 740 WSBR and AM 1470 WWNN this weekend (Saturday, and Sunday) on The Credit Report with Bill Lewis.

Republican Party of Broward County Executive Director Rico Petrocelli will appear and discuss initiatives to grow the local party and upcoming club meetings.  He will also discuss the upcoming Lincoln Day Gala in which Congressman Allen West, Chief Financial Officer Jeff Atwater, and Attorney General Pam Bondi are confirmed keynote speakers.  According to GOP party chair Richard DeNapoli, returning as event chairman is Michael G. De Gruccio.

Former Palm Beach Post gossip columnist and Radar Online executive editor Jose Lambiet will appear and discuss recent developments in the Chris Brown controversy on Miami Beach.  Now with Gossip Extra, Lambiet will also discuss explosive new developments in the Palm Beach DUI manslaughter trial of wealthy polo mogul John Goodman.

Former House majority leader and current Congressional District 22 candidate Adam Hasner will appear and discuss his recent endorsements from Florida Senator Marco Rubio and former Governor Jeb Bush.  Hasner has succeeded where Republican presidential and senate hopefuls have failed.  No other candidate for public office has been able to obtain endorsements from Rubio and Bush, the two most influential names in Florida GOP politics.

Jennifer Cabrera will appear from Saudi Arabia and discuss her efforts on behalf of Planet Beach Contempo Spa to introduce that brand to the country. Cabrera did not take the traditional road to spa ownership. After years in corporate sales, Cabrera wanted to own her own business. A member of Planet Beach, she heard about the Ms. Planet Beach Gen X contest and a grand prize package that included a free license. Cabrera is now a proud franchisee in North Miami Beach, Florida.

Former prosecutor and Fort Lauderdale criminal defense attorney Jim Lewis will appear and discuss his candidacy for Broward State Attorney as the only Republican for this countywide office in 2012.  Lewis is challenging incumbent Michael Satz and Chris Mancini, a former federal prosecutor turned defense attorney.  Mancini switched his voter registration from independent to Democrat so he could run against Satz in the party’s primary.  Lewis will face the winner of the August primary.

Foreclosure defense attorney Carlos Reyes will appear and discuss the latest developments in the mortgage foreclosure crisis. After nearly a year of negotiations, federal and state officials and five major mortgage servicers (Ally Financial, Bank of America, JP Morgan Chase, Citibank, and Wells Fargo) recently announced a $25 billion settlement over alleged foreclosure and mortgage loan-servicing abuses.

Since the show’s inception, Bill Lewis has interviewed some of the country’s leading politicians, including: Rudy Giuliani, John McCain, Herman Cain, Chris Christie, Jon Huntsman, Allen West, Rick Scott, George LeMieux, Jeff Atwater, Adam Putnam, Pam Bondi, Marco Rubio, Sharon Day, Alex Sink, Charlie Crist, Bill McCollum, Jeff Kottkamp, Jennifer Carroll, Christine O’Donnell, among others.

In addition, The Credit Report with Bill Lewis has hosted a number of politicians as well as attorneys and financial experts in the south Florida area.  Among the dozens that have appeared on the show are Carlos Reyes, Al Lamberti, Chip LaMarca, Adam Hasner, Ellyn Bogdanoff, Tom Rooney, Lori Parrish, Richard Denapoli, Rico Petrocelli, Jamie McDonnell, Jim Lewis, Tom Lauder, and John Contini.

The Credit Report with Bill Lewis airs live, Monday through Friday from 7am-8am with an encore presentation Saturday’s at 3pm on AM 740 WSBR.  Streaming audio is available at www.wsbrradio.com and on air participation is welcome at (888) 721-0074.

If you miss the early broadcast, The Credit Report with Bill Lewis is still available weeknights at 9pm and Sunday’s at 1pm on AM 1470 WWNN by streaming audio at www.wwnnradio.com.

Interview with Congressman Allen West About 2012 Politics

Re-posted from PJ Media

Q. Congressman West, you have decided to run for reelection in newly drawn Florida District 18, where there are more Republican registered voters, instead of your current Florida District 22 that will also be redrawn to include more registered Democrat voters. This decision points to a realization that your conservative message only plays well in Republican-leaning districts, and that if you stayed in your current District 22 your chances of reelection would have been substantially reduced. Why do your strongly held conservative principles seem to be so polarizing among the general voting population?

A. Conservative principles are not new — after all, our nation was founded on conservative principles of limited government, individual responsibility, and a strong defense. The problem is these principles have been ignored by the liberal progressive politicians and certain media which have convinced much of the voting population that government can solve all their problems, will take care of them from cradle-to-grave, and it is our nation’s fault that our enemies wish to do us harm.

Traditional conservative principles are threatening to a populace spoon-fed liberal progressive lies and misrepresentation.

Q. Martin County Sheriff Robert Crowder will be challenging you  in a GOP primary in FL-18. Crowder has said that “outsiders shouldn’t be able to move in and get a free ride.” Are you concerned about Crowder’s primary challenge? Will Crowder’s entry into the race force you to make any changes to your campaign strategy or message?

A. Every member of the House of Representatives must stand for reelection every two years. There is no such thing as a “free ride.” It is up to the voters to decide who will best represent them on Capitol Hill. My conservative message is not a campaign strategy, it is my fundamental belief. I always have and will continue to stand for the strong conservative principles on which this nation was founded.

Q. The conventional wisdom among Democrats is that you are “too radical.” Do you resent that label? Do you believe there is any truth to that moniker?

A. What concerns me deeply is that today, the traditional principles upon which this great nation was founded are somehow considered “radical.” Some argue 236 years ago, the idea of forming a nation where power derives from the individual and not from a monarch was “radical.” The fact that patriotism, belief in God and a willingness to fight for our constitutional freedom and liberties is labeled by some as “radical” simply demonstrates to me how misguided liberal Democrats have become.

Q. Democrat congressional candidate Patrick Murphy, who was in a primary battle with Democrat Lois Frankel for the opportunity to run against you in FL-22, announced on February 8 that he is now following you to FL-18, where he most likely will be your opponent in the November general election.

When Mr. Murphy announced his intent to run against you in FL-18 he said the following: “Today our campaign is putting Mr. West on notice. … There is no safe district he can run to.”

Please comment on Mr. Murphy’s assertion that you are running to a safe district.

A. Fascinating.

Q. Regardless of what any Democrat says about you, the fact remains that your message is resonating with conservatives. The proof is you have raised just under  $5.8 million from around the nation in the 2012 election cycle.

This is remarkable because it is more than any member of Congress except Speaker of the House John Boehner, who raised $12 million. By comparison, fellow Florida Congresswoman and DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman-Schultz raised just under $1.7 million.

You also out-raised Florida Senator Bill Nelson, who is running for reelection ($5.6 million vs. your $5.8 million). Why do you think your fundraising ability is so high — more like a senate campaign than a congressional reelection?

A. The conservative message we profess is resonating across the land. The American people are looking for a strong messenger — look what happened during the 2010 mid-term elections. More and more Americans are waking up and realizing this country is on the wrong track, and we need to get back to the fundamental principles that made this nation great.

I never shy away from the truth. I will not be silenced by political correctness. A strong voice is needed to cut through the liberal cacophony of the current administration and its mainstream media allies.

Q. Do you regret not running against Senator Bill Nelson, especially since you have outraised him?

A. Nope.

Q. As a rising star and leader in the conservative movement with great national media appeal, where do you see yourself in five years?

A. Let me start by saying that five years before I got elected to the United States House of Representatives, I was in the desert of Afghanistan. I could never have imagined that today I would have the honor to serve our nation in the United States Congress. I have spent my life serving my country. I will continue to serve, in whatever capacity I can. Ultimately, that decision is not mine. It belongs to the American people, my family, and God.

Q. If Governor Mitt Romney is the GOP presidential nominee will you ask him to campaign for you in your new congressional district?

A. I think Governor Mitt Romney will have plenty of other priorities more important than campaigning for a freshman congressman.

Q. Do you believe Governor Romney is a conservative?

A. John Locke said: “I have always thought the actions of men the best interpreters of their thoughts.” Over the course of his tenure leading the state of Massachusetts, one might question the conservatism of some of Governor Romney’s decisions. Governor Romney, as a Republican, had to govern one of the bluest states in the country. I certainly believe Governor Romney is more conservative than President Obama.

Q. As you know, Florida is a must-win state for Governor Romney in a general election. If Romney asked you to campaign for him or with him statewide in Florida, would you say “yes”?

A. I shall wholeheartedly support the chosen Republican candidate for president — unless of course that candidate is Ron Paul and we had a discussion and an understanding on where we disagree on foreign policy.

Q. Do you enjoy all the media attention you often garner, especially after you have said something that is perceived as controversial?

A. I believe we need to change the conversation in this country. I believe that we need to challenge the status quo. I believe we need to shake the foundation of the entrenched special interests. Most important, I believe in stimulating ideas and forcing the American people to do what we do not do enough of today: think! What I say is only controversial to those afraid of the truth.

Ozzie deFaria’s Lack of Judgement ‘Dogs’ Wasserman Schultz, Republican Party

By Javier Manjarres

Businessman Ozzie deFaria has garnered ‘On the Radar’ status with the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC), a significant boost to his campaign  for the Republican nomination in Congressional District 20.  When the congressional redistricting is completed, most of what now comprises the 20th congressional district will become the 23rd congressional district.

While 2010 nominee Karen Harrington enjoys significant name recognition and strong grassroots support, deFaria could pose a real threat because of his ability to self-fund, and his new found support from the Republican establishment in Washington, D.C. will likely assist his fundraising.

But while deFaria has proven that he is a successful businessman and is showing a glimmer of a fundraising prowess, he’s also at times shown that he lacks the discipline and judgment needed to serve in Congress.

Case in point- deFaria inexplicably posted an image on his website in which he super-imposed a dog collar around the neck of Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz.  It’s understood that political candidates use gimmicks and stunts to bring attention to their campaign, but the denigrating depiction of Wasserman Schultz as a dog isn’t very smart, and it’s likely that most women won’t be amused.

deFaria’s  move is reminiscent of an incident back in 2009 in which another Republican congressional candidate who was looking for attention scribbled the initials ‘DWS’ on a gun range target and then proceeded to fire at it- right in the presence of the assembled media.  The actions of that night gave the GOP a black eye, and deFaria’s actions are likely to have a similar effect.

When you couple this substantial gaffe with a statement he made at the recent Southern Republican Leadership Conference (SRLC) in South Carolina where he stated, “we must send her back to the pound,” it’s clear that deFaria is fixated on the ‘Debbie is a Doggie’ motif, but is that really an intelligent way to critique her?

deFaria hypocritically calls Wasserman Schultz a sexist on the website (see picture), and fails to understand that his depiction of ‘DWS’ can be interpreted as exactly that, sexist.

Unfortunately for deFaria, it doesn’t end there. In the same video clip (below), just before he states that ‘DWS’ must be sent back to the pound, deFaria, reading from a scripted speech, untruthfully states why Congressman Allen West called Wasserman Schultz ‘vile and despicable.’ deFaria states that West called her ‘vile’ specifically because Wasserman Schultz blamed the Tea Party for the shooting of Congresswoman Giffords.

http://youtu.be/wdUnTCWL4FE  <<<<Video

This type of shameless pandering is nothing more than a stunt to create the perception that deFaria is aligned with West.

West  called out Wasserman Schultz after she spoke out against him on the House floor inWashington,D.C.

Late last year, the Shark Tank called out deFaria for using a phony Tea Party organization to solicit funds from activists.  The organization in question, National Tea Party Alert.com depicted him as a ‘Tea Party’ candidate. deFaria told me that it was only a mail program he purchased, in essence confirming that this National Tea Party.com was not really a tea party organization but a for-profit business that had nothing to do with the Tea Party movement. This organization actually attacked Governor Sarah Palin. (Source: Phone Tea Party)

When you run Congress or any office for that matter, most everything is going to be on the table.  deFaria, like many other Americans, has had run-ins with the law and has been party to several litigations that have been made public- some good, some bad. Here is a short list of deFaria’s public court records:

CACE11005287 -2011 Auto Negligence(Pending) (Circuit)

DVCE05007368 -2005 Repeat Violence (Domestic Violence)

COCE05011501 -2005 Civil litigation (Circuit)

06011986MM10A-Misdemeanor (Circuit)

09033561TI30A -Traffic Infraction (Circuit)

COWE07027615 - 2007 Small Claims litigation (Circuit)

Now either the NRCC didn’t bother to closely vet deFaria or they are fine with deFaria’s “colorful” background- which do you think is most likely?

Were deFaria to win the Republican nomination to take on Wasserman Schultz, you better believe that the Democrats will use his unfortunate lack of judgment to label all Republicans as extreme sexists- and deFaria would be the proverbial Republican punching bag .

Gineen Bresso announces Congressional bid against DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman-Schultz

Following a week of musical chairs where Congressman Allen West announced his intent to move north into a proposed 18th Congressional District while former House Majority Leader Adam Hasner departed the Republican primary race to unseat Democratic incumbent Senator Bill Nelson and run for West’s vacant Congressional seat, yet another race faces a challenge.

Former presidential appointee and elections attorney, Gineen Bresso, is set to announce Monday her candidacy to represent Florida’s 20th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Bresso, 39, is challenging Democratic National Committee Chair and incumbent Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz.

“I am prepared to work to restore fiscal responsibility, remove barriers to economic growth, and take the voice of the people to Washington D.C,” stated Bresso.  “Currently, the nation is facing significant troubles with a debt in excess of $15 Trillion and a staggering $1.1 Trillion deficit.”

Bresso was nominated by President George W. Bush and confirmed by the U.S Senate on October 2, 2008 to serve on the U.S. Election Assistance Commission (EAC).

In 2009, Bresso served as Chair of the EAC.  In contemplation of a Congressional run, she resigned recently after asking President Barack Obama to withdraw his nomination of her to serve a second term.

Prior to her appointment to the EAC, Bresso served as the Director of Legislative Operations and Counsel for the Committee on House Administration in the U.S Congress. Previously, she served as a policy advisor to former Maryland Governor Robert L. Ehrlich, Jr., and worked as an attorney-advisor for the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, where she reviewed and processed applications for federal trademark registration.

Bresso has also served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Arrie W. Davis, in the Maryland Court of Special Appeals.

Bresso received her Juris Doctor from Western New England College School of Law in 1999 and her Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1995.

“Even with a late entry into an already crowded field, thanks to her vast governmental experience, Bresso immediately becomes a top contender,” stated Tom Lauder of RedBroward.  “Debbie Wasserman-Schultz has never faced such an impressive group of GOP candidates.  She’s in for the political fight of her life.”

Bresso faces Ozzie Defaria, Juan Eliel Garcia, Joe Goldner, Karen Harrington, and Joe Kaufman in an August Republican primary.

“It’s time to govern responsibly and lead the nation to a more prosperous future,” concluded Bresso.

Those Crazy Racist Southern Republicans Did It Again!

In case you missed it, Bobby Jindal, the Republican Governor of Louisiana, was reelected last night. And, oh, by the way...notice how all those evil racist Southern Republicans voted to reelect an Indian guy? Those crazy racists, they keep voting for candidates like Susana Martinez in New Mexico, Nikki Haley and Tim Scott in South Carolina, and Florida's Marco Rubio and Allen West. And then there's all those racists who are propelling Ted Cruz to the top of the Texas Senate race and keep voting for Herman Cain at the straw polls.
