Is “Islamophobia” actually the more “rational” viewpoint?

“The greatest deception the devil ever pulled-off was to convince the world he didn’t exist.”

Selected excerpts from Islamization and Jihad:

What is ISLAM?

ISLAM is a self-propagating, theocratic ideology that’s anchored to the belief that Mohammed (Muhammad, Mohamet) was the last true prophet of God (Allah); and that the true Word and Will of Allah was gradually revealed to him by the Angel Gabriel (Jibrīl), over the course of 23 years.

Muslims believe that these revelations were “channeled” by Mohammad and written down by his entourage (Sahabah). Following his death in 632 AD, his dictations were eventually gathered into one official compilation known as the Holy Quran (Koran, Qur’an). The content of the Quran, along with anecdotal and biographical texts about Mohammed, known as the Sunnah and the Hadiths, became the doctrinal source of Islamic civil Law known as Sharia.

Sharia Law encompasses, regulates, and prescribes every aspect of human activity: from what to eat, what to say, what to do, and wear—to how to deal with non-Muslims (Dhimmi and Kafir) and apostates (those who turn away from the Faith).  It is the implementation of Islamic religious doctrine through political enforcement.

What does the term ISLAMIZATION mean?

In a nutshell, ISLAMIZATION is the transformation of a regional population into an Islamic state. In essence, an Islamic state is any nation whose population (Muslim and non-Muslim alike) is regulated by Sharia Laws: such as the crime of blaspheming Allah or his Holy Prophet, Mohammed.

The self-propagating mandate of Islam is to continually strive to transform the entire world into a unified Islamic society.  For Islamists (Muslims), this religious duty of manifesting such a society is called jihad.

Black Flag of Jihad

For Muslims,  jihad is a fundamental religious mandate to manifest the expansion of the Ummah—and Dar al-Islam—by various other methods, as well: including proselytization, propaganda, stealth jihad, and cultural invasion.

ISLAMIC EXPANSIONISM

In today’s world,  jihad is typically implemented by local Muslim groups within a specific nation, but often it is organized, funded, and directed through international Islamic organizations like the Muslim Brotherhood and the OIC.

U.S. Officials: Al Qaeda in Iraq Behind Deadly Bombings in Damascus and Aleppo, Syria

U.S. officials have reportedly confirmed that deadly bombings in the Syrian cities of Damascus (in December and January) and Aleppo (Friday) were the work of al Qaeda in Iraq, whose members were acting with authorization from al Qaeda central head and Osama bin Laden successor Ayman al-Zawahiri. According to McClatchy:

The Iraqi branch of al Qaida, seeking to exploit the bloody turmoil in Syria to reassert its potency, carried out two recent bombings in the Syrian capital, Damascus, and likely was behind suicide bombings Friday that killed at least 28 people in the largest city, Aleppo, U.S. officials told McClatchy.

The officials cited U.S. intelligence reports on the incidents, which appear to verify Syrian President Bashar Assad’s charges of al Qaida involvement in the 11-month uprising against his rule. The Syrian opposition has claimed that Assad’s regime, which has responded with massive force against the uprising, staged the bombings to discredit the pro-democracy movement calling for his ouster.

The international terrorist network’s presence in Syria also raises the possibility that Islamic extremists will try to hijack the uprising, which would seriously complicate efforts by the United States and its European and Arab partners to force Assad’s regime from power. On Friday, President Barack Obama repeated his call for Assad to step down, accusing his forces of “outrageous bloodshed.”

‘Jihad Joe’ and the Radicalization of American Muslims

AT A TIME when so many books on politics, religion, and world events are little more than puffed-up pamphlets which are simultaneously high on hyper-partisanship and low on facts, J. M. Berger‘s Jihad Joe, a treatment of the radicalization and actions of American Muslims who have dedicated themselves to “violent jihad” (the author’s chosen term), is a breath of fresh – and troubling – air.  Painstakingly researched and heavily footnoted (the author, an investigative journalist, consulted thousands of pages of court records and documents obtained through FOIA request, as well as source material from the making of multiple documentaries on jihadi activities in Bosnia and in the U.S.), Jihad Joe does not couch opinion as fact, but instead makes use of often disparate stories and information sources to weave together a factual account of radicalized American Muslims, from their diverse motivations and processed of radicalization to their actions.

The bulk of Jihad Joe is a lesson in recent history, recounting the motivations and activities of Americans who have “go[ne] to war in the name of Islam” from the siege of Mecca in 1979, where two Americans were involved, to the present.  It traces the heady days of the heavily-endorsed (by Islamic leaders and the U.S. alike) jihad against the Soviet Union in Afghanistan, when Muslims from America and around the world traveled to fight against the Russian invaders, to the founding of al Qaeda, where an American from Kansas City served as note-taker, through the Bosnian conflict, to the “war on America” that al Qaeda began in the 1990s (which included action in Somalia during the infamous “Black Hawk Down” incident), and which is currently ongoing.  Among the major takeaways from this fast, engaging read (it can be comfortably read in a single weekend) is the realization that the radicalization of, and participation in what Berger refers to as “violent jihad” by, American Muslims is far from a new phenomenon.

Martha Coakley Admits She Is “Frightened” by Scott Brown Surge

Greg Sargent of The Plum Line is reporting that Martha Coakley, in a private conference call this afternoon with top Democrat donors, said that the surge of Scott Brown to a dead-heat with her for the Senate seat in Massachusetts “frightened” her. Sargent had an opportunity to listen in on the call and was reporting based on what he himself heard the candidate say about her surprisingly tough battle for the seat in true-blue Kennedy country.

Coakley went on to say that the main issues she felt were responsible for Brown’s popularity with voters were terrorism, and unemployment. What a surprise that voters would be concerned about two practical, visible issues with immediate consequences for our country that are also the most obvious and visible failures of President Obama and the Democrats controlling both houses of Congress.

Sargent also reports that during the phone call, Coakley begged listening large donors to “max out” and send the limit of $2400 per donor to fund a last-minute advertising blitz to try to overcome Brown’s growing popularity with voters. She said that she needed $400,000 for additional Television spots, $325,000 for mailings to get out the vote, and $80,000 to fund robocalls.

Scott Brown, meanwhile, raised over $1,000,000 in one day, in small donations from countless people, via an effective word-of-mouth “money-bomb” campaign yesterday. This is allowing him to immediately respond to the last-minute, negative ads Coakley is running.

DNC Chair Tim Kaine reportedly told donors that Democratic leadership in Washington is “cautiously optimistic” about the Massachusetts Senate race, but urged them to give the limit as well. This runs counter to earlier reports that Democrat internal polling shows Coakley ahead by a comfortable double-digit margin. Teagan Goddard, meanwhile, reports that new Democrat internal polling shows Coakley’s lead has shrunk to about 5 points and is dwindling fast. And the new Rasmussen Reports survey taken last night shows Coakley with a razor-think 2 point lead.

Even if Brown loses, it looks like he is going to come close enough to winning to make a lot of Democrats up for election this Fall consider their votes this year very, very carefully.

Obama’s Nominee to Justice Dept. Was a Terrorist’s Lawyer

On March 9, the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee held a hearing on one of Barack Obama’s latest nominees. This time it was to assess the suitability of Tony West, Obama’s nominee for the assistant attorney general in charge of the U.S. Justice Department’s Civil Division. Things went “smoothly” according to the San Jose Mercury News, also publishing a nice bio of West. The Washington Post merely mentioned the hearing was “notable.” Similarly the East Bay Express simply makes mention of the hearing having occurred. Apparently there was nothing of interest in West’s nomination.

Curiously enough, though, not one of these brief reports mention that Tony West was “American Taliban” terrorist John Walker Lindh’s defense lawyer. Another key bit of info left out of these announcements was that Tony West raised $65 million for Obama’s presidential campaign. Money well spent if it gets a cushy government job, I suppose.
