Obama third highest recipient of FannieMae/Freddy Mac PAC contributions

Open Secrets reports that Barack Obama took in the third-highest amount of PAC money from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac from 1989 through 2008.

This is quite an accomplishment given the fact that Obama has only been in the Senate since 2005, or 16% of that period of time. (The two who did better were Kerry and Dodd.)

This is pertinent because whomever gets elected will have to finish the job of reforming Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Who would you trust with this job? Someone who has taken the 3rd highest amount of PAC money, or a reformer who has a long record of saying no to special interests?

What this tells me is that Obama has made it crystal clear that he’s for sale, the buyers know it, and they’re buyin’.

It speaks volumes about his experience with the Daley Machine in Chicago. He’s only been here a couple o’months and he’s already taking more cash out of the Dem slush-fund known as FMAC/FNMA than other Senators that have been in office for years! He’s makin’ them other Senators look like amatuers.

He got skills allright, he got skills.

I wonder who he’s gonna prostitute himself to next, what with FMAC/FNMA bein’ taken over by the government? And I guess I’d really like to know from whom that money originated and what they expected to receive in return. No, I won’t be holding my breath.

?No nation went into oblivion or was destroyed because it had bad laws, or because its statesmen were not intelligent, but because of INTERNAL CORRUPTION, and because they could not maintain the POWER OF SELF-CONTROL.?

Don’t we need to rank these contributions on a per constituent basis?
