Ron Paul hits Newt

I know. I know.

I have not posted in over a week, but it was holiday weekend.

Guess what.

I wasn’t going to post this week , but sometimes things happen and I have to throw in my two cents.

It appears the latest polls have Newt Gingrich firmly in the front-runner spot and now to paraphrase Herman Cain; ” There is a big target on his back.”

Well,  Ron Paul just hit the bullseye on that target:

and my guess is, his plan has nothing to do w/ pink underwear. It’s on, folks. Buckle up, you weak at heart and get ready to rumble, those of you that are in this to win it!

Newt and Mitt supporters that are getting ticked off and defensive by attack ads and revelations of your candidates that you find unsettling and perhaps unfair, welcome to the Campaign 2012. We Perry supporters have been baptized by fire after our guy has been dragged through the mud, called every name in the book and attacked for even inhaling oxygen it seems. This is the real deal and only the strong survive. Welcome to our world! See you in Iowa!

This is great. I look forward to the show and hearing what Sheriff Joe’s plan is.

Thanks much for the info. so I can watch it.

Amazing, The Anti-Newt ad by Ron Paul has gained huge viewership.
It was on the Drudge Report yesterday.

When I first saw the YouTube Ad yesterday it had 321 hits as of right now it has over 163,900 hits.

Ron Paul has certainly garnered a lot of supporters since releasing that ad. He may be the new “not-Romney” now. He could even win the nomination.

and that was proven last election.

in 2007 we heard all this same nonsense about how good nutjob paul was going to do. then in 2008 the actual presidential primary took place and 19 OUT OF 20 REPUBLICAN PRIMARY VOTERS REJECTED HIM.

I applaud Ron Paul, though, for taking the first swing at Newt who claims to be above attacking others. the only reason he’s felt that way was so other candidates wouldn’t attack him and bring up questions about his past. Who let the dogs out?!

It’s a highly effective ad and thanks to Paul for spending HIS money to start the conversation about whether or not Newt should be exempt from criticism. We have alot of thin skinned Republicans this go-around and attack ads on each other seem thus far to be turning voters off toward the attacker. With that said, though, even if Paul takes heat for breaking the 11th, the ad clearly reveals that there are serious questions about Gingrich. Maybe this will open the door for Mitt to go after Newt also. When that happens, things will get very intriguing. Herman will still be swatting his flies and the door opens for real discussion and positive ads and campaign appearances—by Gov. Perry, of course!

I heard Bachmann is also going after Newt. The next debate should be an absolute humdinger. Bachmann, Paul, and maybe Santorum will all go after Newt with a vengeance…which leaves Perry and Romney above the fray (because I doubt Perry will attack Newt too harshly or shrilly a la Bachmann)…which leaves us, if Newt crashes back to earth and Perry continues to gain momentum, right where we started. Perry and Romney.

(BTW, there’s going to be another Response prayer rally next week…in Iowa. Sorry I don’t have a link–I’m on mobile at the moment–but it can be easily googled. Y’all might want to check it out.)

If only Ron Paul wasn’t an ocassional cheerleader for Al Qaeda & Hamas, who has also promised to treat Canada the same as North Korea, I’d consider supporting him..

Ron Paul ‘s proposed foreign policy is a disqualifier to 90% of the Republican Party.

That is the title of a post by Hugh Hewitt today.

tbrickert, Thank you for posting this Ron Paul ad!!

  • heraklios

that no matter how much mud he slings, we’re still not voting for Romney under any circumstances

  • intensity

Helps Perry and Romney a lot more than Paul.

He has no chance of winning.

  • nathanalbright

And that’s not a bad thing at all.

I know one thing the ad dioesn’t help Newt. Since Romney is a flip flopper and now Newt is being played as a flip-flopper my guess is everyone but Newt and Romney benefits form the ad.

I don’t think paul is going to expand his base too much more in the end I suppose Perry, Bachmann and Santurom benefit the most and hopefully Perry wins the most out of it.

Not sure what he hopes to gain from it. I guess if it’s web only, he didn’t spend any money on it.

  • mikeymike143

and his paulbots are nothing but a collection of friendless weirdos

  • Jim

…for a very well done ad?

  • papabear

Then Luap Nor has just endorsed Newt!

However, I am quite sure that the vast majority of RedStaters will make up their mind without relying on someone’s endorsement.

  • Jim

…yet I see an appauling amount of “I will hold my nose and vote for him” comments. I wonder why the same courtesy is not extended to a guy who is pro-life, will put constitutionalists on the Supreme Court, and is proposing $1 trillion in actual spending cuts the first year.
    It is an interesting dynamic.

  • http://908StraightSt.wordpress.com/ mbecker908

I will applaud something related to Luap Nor when he is tossed out on the street and banished from the Republican Party.

  • MNConservative

And I will applaud when 809rekcebm is banished from Red State. :)

  • MNConservative

It is particularly effective in the way it uses Newt’s own words against him.

    Well done!

  • devereaux

It’s an excellent ad!! Gingrich and Romney are both liberal Republicans, but at least Romney leads a very conservative personal life.

Ron Paul’s foreign policy is very mainstream. Close to a majority of Republicans now think the Iraq war was a horrible mistake. Something like 80 percent of independents I think. And the vast majority Americans don’t want a war with Iran.

After the last debate on foreign policy, Peggy Noonan wrote that Ron Paul was the only normal person on stage. The rest were promising voters perpetual war. Americans will never have peace.
