Wasserman Schultz a Big “Get” for President Obama, DNC

Every once in a while, you just have to tip your hat to the other side; offer up the “well done”; and prepare yourself for the fight ahead.  Yesterday was regrettably one of those unfortunate days for our side, if we’re still in the business of being “honest” that is.  I try to be, so I can admit it.  Dems scored one yesterday with their selection of Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz to potentially head the DNC and replace outgoing Tim Kaine. On balance, yesterday’s score was probably somewhere close to 99-1 with the release of Rep Ryan’s Path to Prosperity; but at least they got on the scoreboard.

Why was this a “win” for the Dems?

I see this as a good choice for the other team for three reasons; and no FLORIDA is not on the list.

1)She is the most annoying woman this side of Nancy Pelosi.  She’s arrogant, she’s pompous, she’s shifty, she’s inconsistent, she’s flighty, and she’s a hypocrite.  In a nutshell, she’s everything you want in a party head.  She stands for nothing; and everything at the same time.  She can talk “civility” and then spew vitriol in the next breath.  In a nutshell, she’s a passive aggressive Anthony Weiner wrapped in a Hillary Clinton pantsuit.

Via SharkTankThe term “ObamaCare” is “disparaging”

I guess “Bush Recession” was a term of endearment….

Tuscon Tea Party: Just to be clear, Ms. Wasserman-Schultz can be a hypocrite.  From her website extolling the Lilly-Ledbetter Act:

“We’ve seen this law help more than a thousand American workers stand for their right to fair pay in the past year,” said Rep. Wasserman Schultz. “The Bush recession has been an unfair blow to most American families, but wage discrimination threatens Americans’ prosperity no matter the overall economic climate.”

2) The Obama campaign needed a woman.  Hillary’s not lifting a finger for this re-election bid, and the First Dietitian has bigger battles to fight- like ridding cities of Happy Meals and important things like that.  President Obama’s going to have to reach out to that elusive group that the MSM loves to call the “Independents” and Schultz may be just the woman to do it.  She’s a Breast Cancer survivor; she’s BFF’s with Gabby Giffords so the “civility card” looms in her left pocket; she’s a mother of three; and she’s got a ridiculous track record for really bad hair days.  What’s not to love about that? And, who better than a woman and a mom to take on Sarah Palin and/or Michele Bachmann, so the President doesn’t have to?

3) The Mainstream Media LOVES HER!!!  Chris Matthews even gave her an award.

Truth be told, I think heads of both the DNC and RNC are just about as useless as a straight guy in a bridal shop.  They may be “asked” to come along, they may be asked to chime in, and they may even have opinions to offer; but at the end of the day, NO ONE really cares.

Every independent I know and 75% of the Democrats I know can’t stand her. She is everything people hate in politicians. I have one Dem friend who, upon seeing her face on TV, will: 1) curse 2) throw something at the screen and 3) change channels. And this from a lady who has worked to get local Dems elected for two decades.

Can we start a petition to bring Grayson back? I kinda like the idea of those two working in tandem..

I certainly agree. Much my commentary was in jest. I think she’ll serve a purpose, but to the informed voters of the country, her selection will be a “win” for us.

I am with your friend though, in that she makes me want to throw things at televisions. Best Buy must love this lady.

That said, heads of political parties seem to get more exposure and air time when they’re “hated” by millions than they do when they’re endeared to a few. Her being loathed by many may be just what the Obama administration was looking for – free airtime across the board. What more could you want in a party head?

I know I’d want someone with an ideology rooted in something similar to that of my own…. but we both know Dem’;s don’t believe in ideologies and they certainly don’t care about consistency. So, why bother with either?

And since Alan Grayson is out for a while, she’s the Democrat I’d vote to see on TV every night. The only thing better would be if she would always appear with BHO. The more either of them speaks, the better off Republicans are.
