McCain has lost the high ground

John McCain is lying about Obama

If you make under 250K Barack Obama will cut your taxes, yet McCain says he won’t. This is a lie. McCain knows Obama’s tax plan and yet he continues to flat out lie about taxes.

How can we trust a person not to lie as President if he lies during his campaign.

John McCain is dragging this Republican Party into the dirt.

Not sure when being a Republican became being a liar but John McCain has done it.

So much for staright talk.

I find his campaign down right disgusting. He is a liar and it’s shameful how many people would ignore the truth at the expense of the country and thier own wallets.

If you want lower taxes vote for Obama. If you want more of the same Bush policies vote for McCain.

Simple as that.

McCain is a liar.

John McCain is lying about taxes.

McCain knows that Obama’s plan is a sure formula for economic disaster.

    All moderates are Democrats, btw.

    Now, go away!

I was going to respond to this posting earlier but I keep reading great replies. I agree with all of your points. The Obamatrons don’t quite get it. A tax cut is predicated that you have a job that pays you a salary that you can pay taxes with. Obama is a lawyer not an economist. He keeps changing his stance based on where he is at in the polls. (which are a bunch of crap anyway). So if Obama gets elected look for employment numbers to skyrocket around Christmas. My conservative estimate would be around 17% – a little more than 10% over what we already have. Business spending will be slashed and retail sales will be there lowest in 15 years. So while the few celebrate the $500 bucks they might receive in a so-called tax break the vast majority of Americans will be closing the hatches and finding everyway possible to protect what investments they have. It would be a bleak 4 years and I also predict an Obama presidency would see a stock market in ruins. So if you have kids or grandkids who are thinking of voting for Obama – tell them the cash cow will dry up and they will have to go to work for Mr. Obama.

once became president promising a tax cut for the middle class. Not long after taking office, surprise, he found he could not cut taxes for the middle class but instead raised taxes.

The same thing will happen here. Obama showed what he will do. He already voted twice to raise taxes on the middle class.

    Ugh…

The wheels are not off the Obama bus; it never had any wheels, rather it was being carried by a willing left media establishment with a terribly short-sighted goal of getting the first african-american presidential nominee. Only recently have they realized, their misconcieved mission now accomplished, how short of the real prize they are. And they are tired, worn out and dazed. They have spent all of their energies convincing those most easily convinced to get Obama nominated. Now they have nothing left in reserve for the final sprint.

With the loss of the media’s ability to carry him, Obama must make this run on his own. For the first time , ever.
We will see who takes the glory from this field.

    Desperate Democrats, are getting Desperate.

If you make under 250K Barack Obama will cut your taxes, yet McCain says he won’t.

Now, I am not rich. In fact, it can be said that I am lower middle class.

However I don’t believe in class-warfare and taxing the rich only. If we have to raise taxes, we should rasie them on everyone. If we lower taxes, we lower them for everyone.

The rich are not out to hurt the middle class. They are just out there to make a buck, as are we all. It’s nothing personal. Besides the richer they are, the more they spend and invest.

We also don’t work all day just because we enjoy being poor. We are either are trying to make our lives better and/or improve our children’s lives. The difference with us Republicans is that we don’t want to see that hard work taken away by the government. Sure the government has a role in making both side play fair and the rich reward their workers a decent wage, but they shouldn’t play Robin Hood.

Barack Obama, Election, John Mccain, Liar, Lies, Lying, Obama, Sarah Palin, Taxes

He includes Sarah Palin even though she’s never mentioned in the blog.

These guys really are frightened of her.

    • BigGator5

You also notice how he included Taxes? Like he is trying to capitalize on the news of Hurricane Ike. Sad.

I wrote a similar sentiment in a blog entitled, “A Message to Barrack” on August 7th. In that blog I wrote:

I believe in lower taxes and that the “rich” should not be punished for working hard and becoming wealthy. I believe the rich are the ones who keep the rest of us working, whether it is directly as our employers or as the biggest source of investment and spending, thus keeping other businesses running and employing. You want to punish the “rich” by raising their taxes and you want to increase Social Security taxes. Do you realize that the ?Top 1%? or the ?rich? pay 40% of all the taxes this country collects? Two-thirds of this category is small business owners who provide 70% of our nation’s jobs and 80% of all the new jobs in our economy. What will happen to all these jobs when their taxes are increased? Do you think they will be able to stay in business? Do you also realize that the ?Top 50%? or the ?rich? plus the ?middle class? pay 95% of all taxes? Enough is enough. No “Robin Hood” politics and NO NEW TAXES!!!!!

Barack can say it, I just don’t believe the facts backup his assertion (or yours).

Let’s view some history first, on Sept. 8, 1992, Bill Clinton said, “The only people who will pay more income taxes are the wealthiest 2 percent, those living in households making over $200,000 a year.” Sound familiar? But what happened once he was elected :

Seeking to explain why he is backtracking on a campaign promise to cut taxes for the middle class, President-elect Bill Clinton said Thursday that the plan was never a major theme in his race for the White House.

Mr. Clinton, speaking at a news conference a day after saying he would have to “revisit” his tax-cut plan, said Americans voted for him because of the “big things” he wanted to do.

The middle-class tax cut, he said, was not among them.

He said he was “absolutely mystified” that the news media had perceived it as a major pledge. In interviews Wednesday, Mr. Clinton said that, because of worsening deficit projections,”I have to put everything back on the table.”

Mr. Clinton spoke throughout the campaign of the need to redress declining middle-class incomes during the 1980s. He proposed a tax cut for the middle class nearly a year ago, in New Hampshire, and repeated the pledge frequently.

Soon after assuming the presidency, Clinton pushed through the largest tax increase in history. The NY Times reported that people earning under $100,000 paid an additional $3 billion in ’94. But wait, Clinton and the media claimed that only the top 2% were going to pay more taxes?

Barack Obama has had 94 chances in the Senate to vote for lower taxes, how many times did he? Zero. He couldn’t find a single tax that he wanted to cut so far in his short career. He doesn’t want to cut taxes, but he doesn’t want to be Mondale’d either.

with the unrecommend option? I have an idea, lets have a spelling contest.

And you’re a mindless idiot. I see you do not bother to “enlighten” us about how Obama will lower taxes (he won’t) or provide a wit of evidence that he has such a policy.

I wonder who the real liar is.

I also wonder why the moderators tolerate this kind of crap – if I wanted to hear crappy talking points bereft of support and lacking any evidence that the speaker has had an intelligent thought since the 70s I can turn on MSNBC.

…to express my deep regret at your presence here.

  • XRenown

your previous and only other post says you’re not voting for obama but now you say you are…

    i’m confused by your post… and i think it’s because you’re confused.

  • StephC

Unfortunately, the more of this type of bullying happens the stronger my resolve to see Obama’s bid for the presidency to go down in ashes.

It is said that you’re known by the company you keep. We are seeing Obama’s supporters in all their glory. Is that not company he keeps?

Moderateman, how old are you? Have you ever lived through an administration that taxed only those who make $250,000 or more?

I’ve lived through some who promised to do only that but when crunch time, we all suffered unless you were poor enough not to have to pay taxes at all. During one of those times, at $30k/year I was paying taxes. It wasn’t that long ago…say the previous administration. So, you can stuff the liar meme. We’ve been down this road before and we’d be stupid to agree to go down it again.

It’s not even income redistribution as O’Reilly accused during the interview with Obama unless you count redistribution from one’s hands into the government’s hands. Nobody benefits from “taxing the rich.”

If you’re content to believe Obama on this, perhaps you’d be more content somewhere else sipping Democratic Koolaid.

  • Trelaina

Seems I recall in your last post you were a diehard conservative Republican with doubts.

  • Strelnikov

As has been explained many times, the Dems plan to mail another check: NOT cut taxes!

They will raise taxes to pay for that check and yes, it will hit most people, including the middle class and upper class, turning America into e.g. Germany, where my daughter lives and pays 40% of her 25,000 dollar income to the German government.

Germany, like similar European countries, has double-digit unemployment, a bad work ethic, and little innovation or energy or desire to build the future with its birth rate in negative numbers.

I have been busy putting together a new small business in the field of specialty chemicals. No time for blogging, only time for lurking.

McCain is not a liar. On Anything! Frankly he has never shown himself to be anything but a good man and a hero besides.

On the other hand, Barak Obama has repeatedly, explicitly stated that he will tax the top 5% family incomes in this country. Or give a break to the bottom 95%, perhaps? Either way, his ideas can only be construed to be a tax redistribution scheme meant to appeal to Democrats and their consitituents. And, either way, I am sure that the overall tax revenue will go up. And I am sure that small businesses, the main mode of that new individual wealth in this country, are going to be the main targets for that new revenue.

So Obama is going to make it harder for me to succeed, should he become president. Consequently, I will therefore also be unable to hire employees or even outsource work. Every other business in the country will be taking those considerations to some degree. More taxes will be requested from companies that will shrink in size in a vain effort to control their tax avoidance (NOT tax evasion). And so it goes.

If you think the Republicans are handling the economy badly, you ain’t seen nothing until the Democrats get their shot at it. Picture Jimmy Carter. Picture Bill Clinton, without the Internet boom that propped his numbers up that is.

I would want McCain in the White House, for just this reason alone (among many others). Because I believe he WILL stay out of my way, and let me succeed.

John McCain exposed the Obamessiah as an incompetent fraud, and Sarah Palin has more executive experience. It’s not fair.

The Obamessiah’s coronation would have been a mere formality if Rove and Putin hadn’t tricked the Obamessiah into choosing Biden.
