    I smell a REAL conservative!

He’s correct, why wait for Mcain to lie, when we can get it from the start with Barry.

As in 8 days ago boasting

“I am a very conservative person and I don’t just throw my vote away. It’s definately not going to Obama…”

    but know bloviating

    “Obama is getting my vote”.

Any mates ‘ave an ‘arpoon ‘andy? As if hit matters.

    Yawn…

Hey you [EXPLETIVE DELETED], I’m a Moderate Republican! I want a bloody apology for that unfounded and slanderious remark!

    • Trelaina

I’m all for the occasional troll left around for volleyball practice…but this one now thinks he’s something special because he hasn’t yet been shown the Pile…

      • streiff

and tell me what you think

        • mbecker908

The point of his comment was obvious to, I dare say, everybody posting at RS but you.

We have to put up with this crap from you every time you perceive somebody taking a shot at “moderates”. You wear really thin in a big hurry and it would really be OK for you to take your cheese and whine elsewhere.

Hint: it ain’t all about you.

          • Trelaina

Someone said the OP had replaced his original text with the video, so assumed that was the case rather than a moderator stepping in. I did check profile before commenting but I guess I missed something. Signs of being sent to the pile were a bit clearer pre 3.0 I guess :)

          • streiff

think this person interesting enough to really see them off

          • Trelaina

Mods come through as always :)

          • BigGator5

No, Moderate Republicans are routinely attacked on this site and are blame for all the woes we are currently having as a party. Why blame us for steping-up in power vacuum you conservatives have left? You claim to be leaders, step-up and I will follow!

          • mbecker908

            and acted like Democrats.

I absolutely agree that conservatives, especially in Washington, have been in hiding for at least the last seven years. “Compassionate Conservatism” is nothing more than a code word for “moderate”, and we’ve seen GWB stand back and let the “moderates” tie up judicial nominations, tie up key vacancies in the Administration (John Bolton, thank you very much Mr. Moderate, Lincoln Chafee), and thoroughly destroy any sense of fiscal responsibility in the Party.

The so-called “moderates” vote for the Republican Leadership in caucus and then go about their business acting like Democrats, and in some cases very liberal Democrats.

As far as you’re concerned, you’ll never be anything but a “moderate”. You couldn’t lose your sense of entitled victimhood and your high-dudgeon whine every time you are challenged on policy questions if you tried.

Oh, and nobody chased you away from RS during the primaries. You got challenged on some statements of policy and got your panties in a wad and whined out the back door. Don’t press your “victimhood” here, it won’t fly. If you can’t take the heat and can’t make your case (which historically, you can’t and your can’t) go find a “Mainstream Republican” website where you can all whine together.

  • Mr_Write

Looking at Obama’s voting record, he is the most leftist person in the Senate (and that’s saying a lot, considering the cast of characters including Joe Biden, Robert Byrd, Barbara Boxer, Patty Murray, and until recently, Ted Kennedy).

    “Obama is more moderate”

    Laughable!

    • Mr_Write

Sorry…you won’t get away with it…Switching your original post to a video still won’t cover your previous statement saying that Obama was more moderate and that you were going to vote for him.

      • Rod_Patrick

I apologize if it hurts your feelings. I have nothing against “moderate Republicans” who think rationally. But pls. check my last line.

Thanks for the details of the definition.

I am specifically referring to some of Moderateman’s statements that point to the fact that he is really a democrat. Unfortunately, the texts are now gone and I can nolonger quote the exact words.

In short, it’s not my intention to generalize about the “moderates”. I don’t even understand it anyway.

        Cheers!

  • Martin_A_Knight

He even called himself a “moderate” and everything …

    • Martin_A_Knight

      From Mother Jones …

MJ: If you were in Congress today do you think you would caucus with the Democrats? Today do you have more in common with the Democratic than the Republican Party?

      LC: Yes.

A month ago I would have said he would but look what’s happened since and there are still two months to go. He can’t seem to get out of the hole he and his supporters have dug for him.

      • BigGator5

What you really should have said, was that themoderateman was a bloody Democrat (troll), like I did!

  • BigGator5

Wait a minute… What? Why wasn’t this dude troll not yet banned?

Just to let you know, we are in the business of getting McCain elected. Go to the DailyKOS, you’ll be welcome there.

  • KeyWestConservative

If Obama is a moderate, then please define for me what a liberal is.

“Osama bin Laden was a community organizer. George W. Bush was a governor.”
