Video: More proof that Mark Lloyd wants some form of the fairness doctrine

Not that we need any more evidence on our new FCC Chief Diversity Officer, but hey, let’s keep up the pressure, right?

The video below is from 2007. If you want to listen to the entire video you are more than welcome. But this clip provides all the context you need to understand that Lloyd wants to implement some form of the fairness doctrine, probably via regulation.

If you’ve got some time on your hands and you want to fully understand how he feels about regulating the air waves, then take a gander at this.

Why would Russia help with Iran?

So we decide to scrap our missile defense shield today. Why? Oh, Joe Biden has an answer for us:

“The whole purpose of this exercise we are undertaking is to diminish the prospect of the Iranians destabilizing that region in the world. I am less concerned — much less concerned — about the Iranian potential. They have no potential at this moment, they have no capacity to launch a missile at the United States of America.”

Oh, well that’s good to know. At least the U.S. is safe.

We also know that Russia didn’t want us to put a missile defense system in their ‘back yard’. According to Fox News (tv), when Obama visited with Russia, much of their talks were about the missile defense system. So maybe we are also doing this to appease Russia in exchange for their help with Iran. But why would Russia of all countries help to disarm Iran of nuclear capability, when in fact they helped Iran to create it?

“Russia is helping Iran build its first nuclear power plant as part of a program Iran says is purely peaceful. The United States and Israel say it is meant to develop atomic weapons.”

Honestly this makes absolutely no sense. Robert Gates says that Iran isn’t developing long range ballistic missiles as fast as the US had thought. But if we know Iran is already building nuclear weapons, wouldn’t it make sense to assume that they will eventually get long range ballistic missiles? Don’t we want to prepare for the future?

I know the ideology of some in the administration is if we put down our nukes, then others will do the same. In fact, these slides are from a powerpoint presentation from John Holdren back in 2007:

But this just doesn’t jive with the practical nature of what we are dealing with. I’m no expert on foreign affairs, but I don’t know anyone who thinks Iran is not a threat. And I sincerely hope that as our current administration seeks to negotiate with Iran and Russia, that it won’t be at anyone’s peril.

Charles Krauthammer Zings Maureen Dowd over Imaginary Word

Boy, I hope Maureen Dowd has thick skin:

Flashback 2007: US Headed for Fiscal Crisis?

Talk about a wake up call in 2007.  David Walker, former US comptroller, gives 60 minutes a doom and gloom picture that is ominously magnified today.  And guess what it all centered around? Rising health care costs.  Although, I think that’s probably the only point of agreement that he would share with the current administration.  Given that he was very critical of the spending during Bush administration, I wonder what he’d say about or Spender-in-Chief.  Here’s a quote:

“The prescription drug bill was probably the most fiscally irresponsible piece of legislation since the 1960s…We’ve promised way more than we can afford to keep.”

Watch to the end for some retro fiscal advice from Kent Conrad.

Remembering 9/11: A Collection of Photos and Videos

These are photos and videos of 9/11 that I had saved on a CD back from 2001 (videos at the bottom). May God provide a special blessing today for the families who lost loved ones on that day.

Keith Olbermann has crossed the line. It’s time for him to get KO’d.

Nothing proves to me more how intellectually and morally bankrupt Keith Olbermann really is than his latest mission. He is angry because the Obama Administration’s Green Jobs Czar Van Jones was forced to resign because of his quite radical past coming to light thanks in large part to Glenn Beck.  So now that Jones has resigned, Glenn Beck is being credited with it by the Left (though Gateway Pundit should get the credit for finding the 9/11 Truther part that forced Jones to resign).

But the interesting thing is that Olbermann had his chance to argue the facts.  Instead of attacking Glenn Beck on his show for pointing out Jone’s radical past, Olbermann could have easily made intellectual arguments to prove, deny, or justify the claims that Beck was making.  Instead he remained silent. (see for yourself. Go search MSNBC’s video archive for Van Jones.)  So now, in typical Olbermann fashion, he wants to kill the messenger and he’s calling in the troops to do it.

Smear campaign officially commenced.

This goes far beyond true journalism (which is what Beck actually did) into the realm of the dark streets of vengeance.  I honestly don’t know how MSNBC can keep Olbermann employed at this point because he is becoming a much larger liability for them with these types of antics.  I also refuse to loose hope that the intellectually honest folks that watch MSNBC will want to put up with this.

I am all for intellectual disagreements, but this is the stuff of amateurs.

Delving into the Mind of Mark Lloyd – His Own Words

I am posting this article in full that I found here.  It’s long, but I think it describes well why our FCC-In-Chief wants to “re-socialize” the airwaves.

I will point out one quick thing I noticed. He talks about how the market failed on its own to create diversity in the interest of the public without the engagement of the public with the FCC.  The funny thing is, the fairness doctrine was in place at the time. Seems to me his real problem was with government intervention and not the market.

And now the article after the jump.

Van Jones on the Incarceration Machine

So it’s not a truther video, but it may explain his distrust in the government that would lead him to a truther moment.  He claims that minority children are not being put in prison because of any mistake they’ve made, it’s more devious than that.

Watch the video for more:

Charles Krauthammer: Van Jones being a Truther is Devastating.

There’s really not much to say about this.  CK captured it quite well.  In fact, all the 6pm FNC panelists feel like Jones will be gone before the weekend. The thing is, as Mark Levin tweeted, we need to stay focused on Obama and not get distracted by Van Jones.  Obama picked him and obviously condoned his communist beliefs.  The question is, will the media hold Obama accountable for this obvious dereliction of vetting?

Probably not.

Enjoy.

The Fall of our Nation – Deviating from our Forefathers

The Christian Bible was in public schools for 320 years until 1963 when the Supreme Court booted it out.  For a long time our nation has been under attack by progressives who have sought to undermine the Bible as our foundation and it appears they have succeeded. It was started by folks who didn’t want to believe that God created the earth and all therein in 6 days and began to propagate unfounded theories of how the earth is millions of years old – I think it now it’s supposedly 4.5 billions year old or something.  Fossils that were thought to have been laid down by Noah’s flood were now being laid down for over millions of years by catastrophe after catastrophe, unless you subscribed to the even keel theory where it all happened overtime without catastrophes.  Of course this has now been turned into to a more complete theory of evolution, thanks to the help of Darwin and others. Either way the onslaught to discredit God’s work in creation was on, and they began to teach the religion of evolution in schools.  And now, as many will tell you, they teach it as fact.  Talk about indoctrination.  The Creation account, as detailed in the Bible is seen as some fairy tale.  In fact, if you admit that you believe the earth is around 6,000 years old and God created the universe and all mankind in 6 days, you’re a lunatic.

Call me a lunatic.

But this isn’t about evolution. This is really about deviating from the Bible, the Word of God.  And look at our country now.  Rampant abortion, pornography, homosexuality and other things quite un-akin to God, all being accepted in some form or other as ok.

But there persists this lie that our forefathers weren’t Christians at all, that many were deists or atheists.  But this flies in the face of actual history.  Listen to this short video on the history of the English Bible in our country.
