Obama Administration launches Civic Responsibility & Accountability Service

Washington
The Obama 2012 campaign Administration recently launched the Civic Responsibility & Accountability Service site (CRASS) as means to help Americans of all social and economic backgrounds reinforce the principles of “civic responsibility and accountability” in their everyday lives. The CRASS system is hosted at www.CRASS2012.com and provides a number of innovative tools to enable ordinary ideologues people to inform communicate with the Big Brother Obama Administration about day to day thought crimes misinfomation they encounter.
This is a vital tool in our [Obama Administration] attempts to
intimidate opponentsrestore civic responsibility andspread disinformationinsure accountability. There are far too manyright wingsources offairinaccurate, balanceddeliberately misleading andaccurateoutright false information out there and we just wantour partisansthe American people to have the means to find out the truthas we see it. ~ Jay Carney, White House Press Secretary
Public reaction to the program’s launch is mixed. Shortly after the site was launched, conservative activists right-wing extremists attempted to commandeer sabotage one of the site’s primary Twitter information collection and distribution tools, by including the @attackwatch and #attackwatch in all of their social networking communications. Bob Freeman, Director of STOPTHEINSANITY, an instigator of the free-speech cyber-attack on the site stated “All we did is try to help the Administration in its efforts to restore civic responsibility and accountability. We encouraged our members to actively engage in communicating with the Obama 2012 Campaign President by relaying their day to day observances to him through the #attackwatch system. I’m not sure how that’s a bad thing.”
However, Chuck Nelson, Director of CRASS was adamant in his condemnation reproval of the group’s efforts “Those tea-baggers folks are always causing trouble by not falling in line. This program was initiated to help our sympathizers average Americans get past the inconvenient truths misinformation out there and to hold others accountable for not buying what we’re selling.” Nelson pushed back against the notion that the site was a campaign tool “CRASS is in no way part of the Obama 2012 campaign. I know it says PAID FOR BY OBAMA FOR AMERICA but that is a legal technicality and should in no way effect the non accuracy of the information it releases, its ability to not be transparent or to serve as a vehicle for civic irresponsibility.”
Nelson encouraged all Americans to “report anything you hear that’s suspicious or doesn’t sound quite right. Just go to the site and everything you want to know is there.”
