Obama gets NOBEL PEACE PRIZE ?!?

How can someone who has accomplished NOTHING get a Nobel Peace Prize?  It goes to show you how irrelevant the Peace Prize has become.

“for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples”.

Like the “cooperation” between the Democrats and Republicans in Congress right now?

Here are some of the previous presidential winners:

Jimmy Carter

I should also mention Al Gore

    Seriously, this is the best they could do?

    Either this is a consolation prize for having his humiliating appearance at the Olympics bid or the world truly is a very sad place.

      Hard to be Mr. Peace Prize guy if your escalating in Afghanistan. Wonder if they awarded Obama with that in mind or were they simply rewarding Obama’s international US pentinence (azz kissing) tour.

          which building are you in the one near rt 1 or the one further back. I was in the 40000s extensions on the 2nd floor and the guy told me they are firewalled from the rest of the building and the other branch of the company across the street. I asked if he had a 52234 extension and he had no idea. The meeting ended up on floor 2 of building next to rt 1, I went to the other building on floor 3 and the receptionist at the eba company looked at me cross eyed, thats when I figured out I was in the wrong building. Anyway, I was there 2nd floor just check the log for badge number 002 and look up the initials jd. thats me.

            I support our MCOTEA contract so I assumed it was a MARSYSCOM meeting. Obviously, I didn’t find you.

            I am in the building nearest rte 1 on the 4th floor. The company name looks like it has a Nike swoosh under the lettering.

            I will meander down to the 2nd floor tomorrow. I have to go see one of our guys that works down there anyway.

            I’m sorry I missed you. Let’s try next time.

            I forgot to mention that I first went up to the 4th floor, got out of the elevator and stood there (confused) and then got back into the elevator with a black gentlemen who I met again over at the other building. Went over the other building found out as I said above I was in the wrong building. Returned the other building and decided heh, the meeting is at BAE I better go to the second floor, at least I think it was the 2nd floor wait a minute maybe it was the 3rd floor? Nope, it was the 2nd floor I think down with UNITECH (which I used to have meetins at). Anyway, I have been in your office before for a meeting with Major G Ash (initials ot protect his identity), btw ask Carlotta or George A. if they remember the contractor lead engineer over at marcorsyscom with the long hair.

    The award of the prize to Al Gore was a political statement in support of global warming. He won over people who actually did things to promote peace (or in one case suffered personal torture in order to save Jewish children). But Al Gore’s award could at least be argued for if you were a believer in the AGW church doctrine.

    Obama’s prize is just, well, baffling. He hasn’t done anything. Oh, he’s talked about doing things, but so far has accomplished nothing.

    On top of that, he’s talking about expanding the the war on Al Queda into Pakistan. Yeah! Invading a nuclear power is going to do a LOT for world peace. Riiiggghhht.

    What will they sat when Iran detonates a nuke and North Korea detonates another nuke….?
    Even Chavez is talking about nukes lately.
    This award has really become a joke. Even a NYT’s columnist can get one.
    So let me get this straight. Obama has turned his back on Israel. He turned his back on Honduras and on the protesters in Iran. Afghanistan Pakistan are getting worse. The dollar is collapsing and the Olympic Committee has kicked him to the curb but somehow he get’s a Nobel after less than a month in office.
    Yassar Arafat got one too .
    The thing is worthless.
